The food was amazing! Everything we ate was so satisfying and so good. We did go on a Thursday night and it was relatively quiet, so it was nice to converse. I imagine on a weekend it’s much louder. The drinks were also really delicious, we got the “Jamie” it was so good !! Food wise we ordered the Gordita sliders, the birria, fish, and chicken tacos

Great food. Great atmosphere. Ok waitress service. Super bar tender!! Can’t wait to go back. Sat at the bar where there were several empty seats, so couldn’t understand why we felt rushed. It’s not like they were turning a table. We ordered chips and guacamole as an appetizer, but it came out with the mains. The rest of the experience was awesome.

Was disappointed as soon as I walked in. We were seated right by the front door, in their patio section, literally if someone opened the door you would get a cold draft. We asked to be seated inside the restaurant, which was pretty empty at 6pm however, they said we had to be done eating by 7pm as those tables were reserved (we had a reservation). Also, they had a heating source that they couldn't control, it was really hot and uncomfortable. Secondly, it was so noisy you could barely have a conversation, the entertainment was very loud for such a small restaurant. The food was just ok for the value and after spending good $$ you could only have your table for an hour and a half. Overall, not a good experience and definitely won’t be going back.

Great presentation & taste Mexican food but very expensive! The waitress were fantastic with the exception of the hosts- gentleman that was at the entrance has no idea about to provide customer service. When you arrived they were super friendly, asking and asking if you want more food or drinks, after they start seeing you were about to finish they come to rush you without more friendliness. Please be more specific about time frames under your reservations. Thank you!

Casa del Lobo was AMAZING !!!! Me being Mexican thought the Food was delicious and authentic, service was great, drinks were spot on, ambiance and entertainment was also amazing ! I would definitely come back here again, I was there with 4 other girls and we all had a really good night, the price of the food is accordingly and we had a great time celebrating our birthday !!!! I will definitely go back and recommend to my friends. Coming from a Mexican I felt like I was somewhere in Mexico and I loved it ! Thank you so much to all the staff to Casa del Lobo for a great night !

Tacos were very mediocre, not authentic tasting tacos. Drinks and ceviche were very good, well made cocktails and very nice presentation of the ceviche. Service was good. Parking very difficult in the area so go ahead of time to secure a spot. Live entertainment was very fun, Vibe was alot if fun.

My friends and I were so excited to go out for two of my friends birthday dinner We got there everyone was super kind and nice But my food was cold and they kept trying to clear plates of food before we were finished eating (twice we asked them to leave it) Than we were waiting for them to take our dessert order they asked us to go sit at the bar because we were there for over a hour. Needless to say we just left didn’t want to give them any more of our money. The music and atmosphere was good but just over all disappointing

It was my second time at Madre de Lobo. The entertainment is amazing!! The fish tacos are so delicious & each tequila drink I’ve had has been superb. BUT the shrimp & pork taco lacked shrimp (not one shrimp & no flavour of shrimp at all) and the beef taco had a fraction (minimal slivers) of the beef this time. The waitress barely spoke English, forgot our espresso and when we reminded her of our coffees, she asked us to leave when she did finally bring our espressos bc our 2 hour time limit was up. Not something I’d expect or appreciate with a bill at $200 for 2 people. Meanwhile, two large tables (11-12 people) left just before we did & there was no line up outside, so why rush us at the end when she’s the one who forgot our espresso?! With her very poor English did she even serve the right tacos? Is that why there was no shrimp? And minimal beef?? I don’t know & I’m really disappointed despite the amazing entertainment - I’d expect to be allowed to stay longer when the price of the tacos are pricey (especially with minimal fillings) to at least have the value of the entertainment.

Customer service was great, everyone was pleasant and fun. I enjoyed the food but must agree with allot of people it was a little pricey for some of the portions given. Overall It was a nice dinner with a nice ambiance. I went with a friend and we shared our dishes and I came home with a full belly .

Food was not worth the price we paid!! Our server was nice!! Entertainment was good as well!! But I believe because it was 11:30 it died down a bit!! Overall not a bad experience but the food can do really better !!

Overall you’re paying for the atmosphere and experience. The performances, decor and entertainment were great. They had a drummer, dancer and mariachi duo. When the performances were over the music was very repetitive. I heard TQG by Shakira and Karol G at least 3 times. Food was average but tasty. Alcoholic drinks were overpriced. Service is slow. My husband ordered a mojito and they brought everyone’s drinks out except his. Not sure if they forgot but when we reminded the waitress it took an additional 15 mins for them to bring it out after the already long wait. There was also an error on the menu for the Pinche Fish tacos. The description on the menu is for the Gordita Sliders which we had already ordered as an appetizer. The waitresses who brought the food out seemed very confused when we said we ordered the Pinche Fish but the food did not match the description. Once we spoke to our main waitress, she realized the error and they were quick to rectify it by sending out a new order. We did ask to keep the fish tacos but I’m not sure she understood that sending out a new plate meant we ended up with two orders of the Gordita Sliders. The Oreo dip for the churros was to die for. Unfortunately, the churros were undercooked (borderline raw) inside. Definitely not worth $15 for 4 small pieces. I’m happy we came for the experience but don’t think we will be returning for a second visit.

Our experience was very terrible from the beginning from waiting for our table to lack of inefficiency of service. The food unfortunately was not flavourful at all, overpriced. The music every half an hour was the same songs , our experience there was not great. It was not a great experience, we waited for the menu 10 min another 10 min for water food didn’t come at the same time

Extremely loud , very small space, light was very bright. There was live performances but again because space is very small it feels very loud and awkward when they perform. Might not be ideal for romantic date night. More Suitable for a bigger group of friends where your looking for a louder vibrant environment

Great food. However, $$ too high for 3 tacos. Based on their social media account, I was expecting entertainment, on a Saturday night, there was none. I was expecting to see both the dishes and entertainment offered on their social media, selection a bit disappointing. That being said, the food and drinks were good, just over-priced. $$$ for two people. Again, Tacos, excellent, but not $$. Willing to try again.

The energy and ambiance of Madre Lobo was amazing! The entertainment was great. This is what brought us here! Unfortunately, we were not given enough time to experience it. Our reservations were for 6:30 pm on a Friday night, and the mariachi band started performing at 7. We felt rushed by our server an hour into our meal, often asking if there was anything else we wanted. We were given our bill after our churros, and then we asked for another few drinks and she responded that we had been here for 1.5 hrs, and table is for 1 hour. She had others waiting on tables. Meanwhile there were a number of tables open. The food was good, but a bit overpriced. We were celebrating an anniversary and we're excited to try this new and exciting place, however the experience of service left us feeling distasteful with the service. I was disappointed. I would like to go again and pick a different time (8 pm) to get more of the entertainment.

Our experience overall was decent. The staff were friendly and attentive for the most part. Started with the ceviche which was tasty, and exuded freshness with light flavours, yet the mains came out too fast to actually enjoy the starter or finish it. They need to watch the tables before firing out seconds. We shared the shrimp tacos (good!) and cheese quesadilla (decent) then the churros for dessert which were good, yet no coffee. My friend and I walked to McDonald's after which pretty much lowers the night's experience. My one complaint about Madre De Lobo is they use QR codes and don't have a website. I think this is can be detrimental for a restaurant, especially now. QR menus are a pain, put a bad taste in the diner's mouth off the bat, take more time, are hard to navigate, aren't responsive and my friend had to borrow the server's phone to use as hers wasn't a smartphone. It's just a big pain, to design a menu and site that matches the stylish interior should be a given. Also, diners want to check menus and price points not to mention see their story ahead of time. If the menu gets updated often, so does the QR menu, therefore easily done the day-of on the site. Just my two cents. It was somewhat loud too, but that's because it's child-friendly, seemed like friends of the owners at a few tables with their active kids. Otherwise, cocktails and food were good. I feel we would've ordered more if we could see the overall menu at once.

Amazing authentic Mexican cuisine. After spending a few months in Mexico earlier this year this food + atmosphere brought me right back to it. The service was amazing from the second we were greeted at the front door, until the moment we left the restaurant. The food came out quick and was flavourful. Can’t go wrong with the shrimp ceviche too start, beef / fish or my personal fav el pastor tacos. Don’t skip the churros for desert either. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I had seen the wonderful advertisements for this restaurant live music, authentic Mexican food and so I booked a reservation for 2 of my friends amalgamated birthday Party. I was never ever able to get a hold of the restaurant by phone. Finally someone messaged me on Instagram. I held the table with my visa and was vigilant in changing the numbers when we had last minute cancellations. The Host who was walking around with an iPad greeted us in an anxious manner letting us know we couldn’t stay longer than an hour even though the entire restaurant was free and there were numerous open and empty tables he said it would be close to Impossible to make a table at the back that was set for 5 fit 6 people. Even though I had messaged the morning of indicating the original number of 6 was a go ahead. This was an impossible feat for the anxious and frustrated HOST. We were about 45 min into our reservation and had added and extra chair to the table. The female server was sweet and attentive to us and she apologized for the Hosts rude and dismissive and disrespectful behaviour. We finally ordered a bill of upwards of $600 only to be told we had to leave while both friends were eating their churros birthday plates. We got up and rushed out and did not get a chance to hear any of the live music. I wouldn’t go again!! Food was average. Birria tacos were the best thing on the menu !!

A fun spot for Mexican food in the West end. Live music is too loud to have conversation so be sure to get your chat out of your system before heading here. Service was great, food was not as good as expected, it was fine but didn’t exceed my expectations.

The food was OK.. not the best not the worst. The place and the service was perfect I would just love to see more quality. The corn was just boiled corn with mayo,cheese and Valentina sauce and the presentation was just as plain as the description given. The food overall wasn’t bad but is not a place I would go back because nothing about the food was memorable
