We came to Maezo for lunch. Service was very slow; appetizers took about 20 minutes to be served, and mains were served a further 20 minutes after we finished appetizers, even though we had asked for all of the items ordered to be served together. Portions were very small, and certainly so given the price. The rice was cold, and the curries that we ordered lack flavour. At the end of service, the bill included an 18% service charge, which the waiter insisted was not a tip but could not justify otherwise.

Where to start? It’s so nice to find a quality Indian restaurant right in the city’s core. The service is friendly and attentive. But it’s the food that really shines - it is sooo good! Scrumptious flavours (they can adjust the spice level from 100% mild to super spicy), fresh ingredients, and not greasy at all. This tucked away restaurant is a gem. Generous portions too! Think of it as healthy comfort food :)

Service was impeccable and the food was Devine! The owners treated us with so much respect, truly felt at home. Definitely pair the cool India beer with your meal it just gives it an amazing match. 10/10 and LOVE how u can choose ur spice level! Will be back again soon :)

One of the best experiences I had for Indian food for a very long time. Being a seasoned Indian cuisine fan, I couldn’t have expected more. The service is top notch. They are doing a phenomenal job at making customers feel welcome and I love supporting family businesses.

Except for the bar, with its row of chandeliers, the place is unremarkable to look at...almost a sports bar, complete with three televisions. But the food is outstanding...some of the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted, from the super fresh papadams, to the flash-fried noodle/veggie appetizer, to the slow-cooked mutton. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular.

Saturday 7pm - very quiet time to eat with more customers coming in by 8 - closes at 9! food very good, albeit a bit pricy for amount given-especially if you are sharing the dishes. loved the butter chicken poutine appetizer. Service was efficient and helpful. Would come back again .

Busy Monday night and a large table of colleagues from the same conference had obviously overwhelmed the restaurant’s capacity. The staff dealt with the situation with confidence and good humor. Would love to come back when less busy.

Ordered a shrimp tandoori salad. The shrimp was cold. The lettuce and cucumber in the salad was gone bad. The menu said mint chutney but they served it with Italian dressing. Terrible place. Would not recommend. Over priced for the quality.

Warm welcome . Stellar service. The appetizers were sensational- the best Bahji/ pakoras ever, delicious samosas served in an unusual and very tasty way. Vegetable biriyani was a success. Being seasoned curry eaters, we would have liked more heat in the vindaloo and Madras curries. Our fault for not asking. Topped it all off with perfect gulab jamun(sp?) Will be back!

Very friendly staff, although they seemed to be a little understaffed, so service was a bit slow. We got our appetizer before our drinks. But otherwise, very good experience. The Masala Macaroni was delicious, as was the Butter Chicken.

Food was fantastic, with a great balance of sweet and spicy. Lots of unique choices combined with traditional favourites. My only issue was that it was quite cold in the restaurant when we were there. My wife had to put her coat on.

I was there with two of my colleagues and two of us order a chicken dish where the chicken was extremely undercooked. Staff was non-existent throughout and ran out of patience to complain. I just paid my bill and left. This was by far the worst indian food I have ever tried. Will not be coming back.

One of the best secrets of the financial district.... likely not for too much longer. Also likely the best Indian in the city. Perfect mix of spices in every dish ... they really accentuate. and their okra dish is to die for.

The food was fresh,fragrant and delicious. Great for sharing. The staff is very friendly and offered great suggestions for our group that were all a hit. Location was close enough for the theatre crowd, within a 10 min walk or quick cab ride. We will visit again!

Visited this Indian Fusion restaurant because of positive recommendations and it was in the vicinity of our hotel. Menu is limited, with plenty of vegetarian options but the food was very authentic and incredibly tasty - would definitely recommend for the very tasty and authentic food. Don’t go expecting traditional Indian fast food - Chicken Korma or Tikka masala, but this is much better! Service was good, staff/owner was very attentive, whilst ambience is a little hard to describe - table layout makes it seems very school or cafeteria-like, but don’t let that put you off some great authentic Indian food.
