   I’ve been to Maggie Oakes before and generally speaking service has been relatively uneven. This time it was down right bad. It took too long to be noticed and too long to receive our order. While one of the glasses of wine ordered was served at the right time after a bit of prodding, the other glass of wine was received well into our meal. The food was lukewarm when served. The interesting thing is that there were many servers running around, enough I would say to provide an adequate service. It is sad because the food would have been better appreciated under different circumstances.

   We had brunch on the long weekend, the staffs were very busy, but they did their best to serve and very friendly. The choices of brunch are very good, just the drinking option with non alcohol are not very favorable. I can tell the juices quality are same juice box, pretty much from concentrate. I was expecting the price of dishes will also come with quality of drinks. Overall is worth to try.

   It was the best meal of our visit to Montreal. Pricey wine list but each dish and drink was phenomenal. Highly recommend it!

    pas de service ! le serveur nous demande le desert tandis qu'on attend depuis 1h pour notre plat de principal. les petit assiettes n'étais pas ramasser et les couteaux n'est pas changer pour pouvoir couper la viande. Le plus étonnant est qu'il charge 3$ pour l'eau chaud parce ma mere doit prendre ses médicaments après le repas.. incroyable, c'est du jamais vue. De plus le gout des repas était pas bon, trop salé et le steak trop cuit. Une place a be jamais aller.

    The service was great; we had someone with a serious lactose issue and they made sure that no lactose was used in anything and the chef made great lactose free modifications to the dish. Please try the squid ink spaghetti; it is perfection. The Paris Brest was my favorite dessert as well. We had a great laughs and service from the manager. Delightfully funny and sarcastic.     Terrible ambience. Was freezing bc the doors were left open and food was cold. Food selection was ok, no pancakes or real waffles…we were seated at a tiny table in a dark alcove that wobbled badly. Not even big enough for our dishes. I normally live breakfast here but I will not be returning for Mother’s Day brunch was not special at all.

    Repas froid. Nous avons attendu TRÈS longtemps avant qu’un(e) serveur(euse) vienne nous voir. Après 35 minutes assis, nous avons dû demander à une serveuse d’avoir de l’eau et de prendre notre commande. Le restaurant était loin d’être achanlandée et la serveuse ne semblait pas avoir envie de prendre notre commande. Une fois la nourriture arrivée, c’était froid. On nous à également apporté les factures avant même de les avoirs demandés et pourtant nous avions pas encore dépassé le 2h accordé tel qu’indiqué, sans nous demander si l’on voulait autre chose.

    Certainly a great location in the middle of Old Montreal. While the food was good, service was very good, there are, however, better steak restaurants that are more refined, with a better ambiance that exist in Montreal; especially for the price.

    We were greeted warmly by the staff, and quickly seated at our table - a booth - in between the bar area and the main restaurant. The decor is beautiful and well thought out. Beautiful brass fixtures blended with wood, greenery and comfortable seating. Our server was attentive and professional (and handsome) bringing us each dish perfectly. We ordered the Cheese tray which was delicious - although could come with more sliced crispy bread. We found we had more cheese than bread. We shared the caesar salad which was amazing - it was beautiful to look at and delicious - again it could have had a bit more dressing, but overall was delicious. I had the new york steak and my dining partner had the flank. Both were cooked to perfection and accompanied with vegetables which were also perfectly cooked. We'd highly reccomend this place to anyone looking for a really deicious experience that is comparable to in price to The Keg but just scores above it in service, quality and ambiance.

    The contre filet was cooked more then what my boyfriend asked for. It was too charred and dry. There wasn't any juice left in the meat even though we asked for the meat to be medium. The truffle mashed potatoe was a very nice discovery on my end.

    Staff kept trying to clear our plates when we were not done with our food. Steak was not cooked correctly and server forgot about our drinks until we had to pay.

    The service was awful. The waitress didn’t even offer us coffee while we we’re deciding on what to eat. Then she finally came back after 15 mins to take our orders so we asked for mimosas and two people asked for coffees (coffees never came) mimosas came after another 15 minutes. Food was horrible. We asked for chocolate sauce on the waffles for my niece, came back plain with nothing on it. Everything was just bad. The waitress realized we were not happy and she did nothing to try to make our experience better. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

    Everything was really good and staff were kind! The only thing is if it's possible to have maybe 1-2 more gluten free items in the appetizers and 1 gluten free options for steak sauces, that'd be super nice to have but else 🤌 !

    Nous avons célébré l'anniversaire de ma copine au restaurant Maggie Oakes. Les cocktails maison sont délicieux et ils offrent un grand choix de Bourbon pour personnaliser votre Old Fashioned. Les entrées, notamment le nougat de chèvre, sont exquises. Les plats principaux sont de qualité, bien que le contre-filet manquait d'assaisonnement. En revanche, le filet mignon avec sa sauce périgourdine était époustouflant. Petite surprise agréable : le dessert de ma copine était offert gratuitement pour sa fête. Je recommande ce restaurant pour un moment inoubliable en bonne compagnie.

    We had a fantastic dinner at Maggie Oaks last night. We were able to sit outside and the PEI oysters were some of the best I've ever had. Drinks were top notch and so was the service. I wish the kids menu was a bit stronger but at least they had a few options. My 7 year old ended up eating 1/3 of my Center Cut Fillet :)

    The steaks were phenomenal! Made exactly as requested and seasoned perfectly. I'm not sure if it's a Montreal thing, or just the restaurants we went to, but service was just OK. Water refills were spot on but otherwise all was very slow. Time between seating and acknowledgement, checking to see if anything was needed, time between drink order and food order, were all slow.
