    The service was outstanding, but they were experiencing unexpected kitchen delays. Drinks were very good. Burrata was delicious. But our steak and salmon were both overcooked and disappointing. Since all the waiting and $$ goes into the meats, we could not risk advising our waiters and having to wait even longer for food. So we just left most of the meat on our plates. I liked the vibe, but some might not. It was very loud, and mostly 90s(?) hip-hop, which seemed perfect for the location smack outside of a lively Old Montreal hotspot.

    Our meal was exceptional. Valerie was knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant. The filet was quality beef cooked to perfection. The wine suggestions were a perfect match to The meal. Our crème brûlée and cheesecake were delicious.

    Too loud. Asked to be moved n was told it was full couldn’t be done. Empty tables in a quieter back corner when we left. Wait stuff was slow to respond to ex:getting the check. Way over rated per several websites.

    Great food and service! Thé maître d’hôtel was really nice and offered a very good suggestion for dessert. A plateau of all the Most popular desserts! We really enjoyed our meal! Although we were in line with the front door and could feel a draft but otherwise it was great!

    Really enjoyed the experience of eating here. "E" was extraordinary as the somelier and everything else. He was very helpful with wine selection and with everything else. All the wait staff were also great, and the food was all superlative.

    We were really looking forward to our dinner at Maggie Oakes. We were seated promptly. Very concerned about the noise level, it was raucous! I guess I was thinking based on the reviews that it was going to be a bit more like a steak house and less like a big open bar. There were tons of millennials and Gen Z's. Having a great time. OK for them not what we expected. My flank steak came out almost raw. Not medium rare as requested. It could not be cut with the knife provided. I brought it up with the wait staff and it was immediately handled. After the steak came back from the kitchen we were well attended to by the Maitre'd. They made a real effort to attend to us after that. My wife enjoyed her salmon very much and we had a enjoyable dinner but for the price I was surprised by the noise and the issue with the food. I have never had to return food to the kitchen. Only tried them once but would not go back.

    We were a group of 6, we arrived at 1:05 pm, placed our order at 1:15 and did not get our main course for more than 45 min. There is ni explanation for that, it is terrible service. My hamburger was almost raw, was never advised that this is how burgers are made there. Terrible experience. Fries were louk warn, no crackers or bread with the average soul. Terrible experience Never going back Alfred Rooney

    Excellent food for a high traffic tourist area. Steakhouse with good fish and other options. Menu has something for everyone. Service was outstanding all around. Good cocktails, small but excellent wine list. Got a table for 8 on a Saturday evening with little wait time.

    We enjoyed a very good meal with a group of friends after having watched tennis (Omnium Banque Nationale). Nice way to end a fun day this way… the food was excellent and the service as well. Greatly appreciated!

    We try the brunch experience and were particularly disappointed. Food was not hot, and the quantity is ridiculous. It was decent but you have much better options in Montreal They didn't give spoon with our coffee. Too expensive for what you get.

    The food was very good. It took about 20 minute for anyone to come see us. Service was on the slower side. But my quinoa salad was delicious and everyone at our table seemed to enjoy the food. The creme brulee was wonderful!

    Meals are overpriced and tasteless. I took my girlfriend to dinner to celebrate her birthday. I had ordered the 8 oz. steak de Babette and my friend ordered the grilled sesame-crusted salmon. I ordered the steak medium. It had no flavour except for the taste of the brown sauce. The sauce was store bought. The steak was dry and not juicy. I make a great steak at home - peppercorn rub served with a peppercorn sauce. My girlfriend has food allergies so she requested no onions and no garlic on her salmon. She was happy that the chef was able to comply with her request. When the dishes came, the servers didn’t know who they belong to. It goes with all the dishes that arrived. They had to ask who ordered what dishes. Obviously, the servers have no training with service skills with high end restaurants. I am disappointed and I will not be coming again.
