   J'y étais pour mon anniversaire. Il y a eu beaucoup d'erreurs dans le service... Mon verre de cocktail qu'on ramasse avant de me demander si j'ai terminé... Les entrées qui devaient être servies en 2e sont servies en 1er, sachant que la mienne devait être chaude... Les huîtres qu'on a oubliées... Je demande 1 couteau à viande et le serveur 10 secondes plus tard le donne à mon conjoint parce qu'il a oublié que c'était moi qui en avais besoin... Le dessert qu'on nous a servi était celui d'une autre table... Un dessert d'anniversaire qui est déposé en 2 secondes sans aucun mot, comme si on s'en débarrassait, on a juste le temps de dire Joyeux anniversaire que la bougie ne brillle plus... Il a fallu qu'on demande au manager une nouvelle bougie pour s'offrir un vrai moment de célébration.. Heureusement que le manager était là d'ailleurs dès qu'on avait besoin de faire rattraper une bourde du serveur (en job etudiant peut-être, qui sait?)... Bref, heureusement que le cadre était top, l'ambiance juste comme il fallait, les plats très bien dressés et succulents, les vins suggérés et cocktails exquis... En restant objectif ça vaut bien 4 étoiles dans l'ensemble.

   Been here dozens of times but tonight was most likely my last. Came in to celebrate with my partner. Ordered my steak (medium rare, Chicago style) shows up well done. They take it back and when the new one arrives it was rare, not Chicago style. How difficult is it to cook a steak especially when you have the audacity to charge what you do and display all that aged beef? Absolutely joke that our server didn't even have the courage to speak to us after knowing what had happened. Zero stars if possible.

   We arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation and got seated right away. Our server was kind but didn’t speak much English so could not communicate the way we needed him to, especially when it came to ordering wine. The service was very relaxed and we didn’t feel like we were in a rush at all. However our server was not overly attentive and slow to get things to us (ie. my husband’s coffee, the bill). Overall the atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. We would probably return to this restaurant.

   My husband and I booked a night at the William Gray hotel for my birthday this past Friday. We had dinner at Maggie Oakes and had the absolute best time. Our night started off with a fantastic suggestion by the sommelier Hy. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, he’s very funny and made us feel very welcome. Our waitress Sabrina was exceptional! Our starters of pear and goat cheese salad and the salmon tartare were equally delicious. After speaking to us for several minutes and getting to know what we like Sabrina made a recommendation for us to share the 20oz rib steak with mashed potatoes, vegetable and wild mushrooms. I’m generally not a steak person and I have to say this was probably the best steak meal I’ve ever had. It was spiced and cooked to perfection. To top everything off we were served a huge mixed dessert platter that was delicious. It was of the most memorable birthdays, beautiful hotel, relaxing spa and unforgettable dinner. We’re looking forward to going back again. Thanks a million to all the staff!!!

    Nice place, good food but we waited at least 25 min for our first round of drinks that were mediocre. Martini wasn't great, the tonic in the gin and tonic was flat, he forgot the extra lime. The wine the server suggested with our dinner was top!

    The menu for the brunch was diversified. We were a party of 6 and we all ordered different meals. Everything was great: the food, drinks, service! Thanks to Audrey! We were celebrating a graduation and the restaurant offered the mimosa and the cake for the person we were celebrating. We will sure return to this great restaurant!

    Used to love this restaurant, the service used to be phenomenal. Was unpleasantly surprised during this visit. - Food was still delicious but was cold - Service was horrible (45 minutes to bring us the bill, did not bring the food all at once as we asked, waited a very long time for food to come, brought one of our guests the wrong meal and she was allergic to it, had to ask for utensils, mixed up coffee orders) - Planned to be there for 1.5h, was forced to be there for 3.5h - Waiters joined in on our private conversations, which was very strange - Ambiance used to be great, now so dark inside and too loud, not the elegant vibe it used to have

    Had such a wonderful time at Maggie Oakes. Amazing food and wine. Very accommodating for celiac/gluten free. Staff were so nice. We were celebrating a birthday and they made it such a perfect night. Will be going back every time we are in Montreal. Highly recommend.

    Nous avons beaucoup apprécié brunch du happening gourmand. Les repas à la carte étaient aussi offerts. L’endroit au bord de la fenêtre était éclairé et calme. Vraiment SUPER. Le stationnement est toutefois coûteux aux alentours!

    Simplement sublime. Des mets exquis et inventifs, tres bon service et une belle ambiance. Service hors pair avec une mention spéciale au maître du restaurant pour ces conseils et son savoir-faire. Soirée magique.

    Good food and good service. For a steak house, I have to say that I was disappointed that the pieces of meat only came in extremely big portions (ex. To get the Tomahawk, you had to order a minimum of 55oz, at 5$ per onze). So if you wanted to get a piece of meat, pretty much everyone at the table had to get it too. Also, the side dishes that came with the meat were incredibly small portions, considering how many people it’s suppose to feed. Tried other dishes that were tasty, but not up to the taste I was expecting. Presentations are beautiful! All in all, would recommend.
