   Food and service were great ! Lobster Ravioli was delicious and so was the steak, a little disappointed with the dessert. Overall great time, highly recommended this restaurant.

   Nous avons passé une très belle soirée. Le service était courtois et attentionné. Nous avons été servi dans un délais fort raisonnable et nos plats étaient selon nos attentes. La cuisson de la viande était parfaite. Seul ajout intéressant serait une plus grande offre de microbrasseries (ce commentaire est vrai pour presque tous les restaurants du vieux Montréal).

   I absolutely loved this brunch spot. Located in the square, Maggie Oakes has everything to offer including drinks, great breakfast options as well as gluten free options. The staff was friendly, answered our questions about the menu and the waitress properly waited our table. Very satisfied and I will be coming back here again. You can Valet your vehicle at the William Gray Hotel for 12$ which represents a massive accommodation in the Old Port. Thank you!

    They tell you it’s $4 dollars per ounce and insinuate you can select your size, to then be told there are sizes and only a 20 ounce was left. The orders were then confused, I ordered medium rare which came medium (at best) and my wife ordered medium, which came medium rare. They manager did try to make up for this with free desert but overall it was fairly poor experience.

    Not really happy with the waitress she seemed upset because we came to take desserts and coffees, she woulahave prefered to see us drinking alcohol or eating more than that. We asked her for our baby if they can make an « omelette », which is current in all the restaurant we go to accept with pleasure to make it, specially when it’s a hotel’s main restaurant. We gave her tip even if she didn’t deserve a penny. The manager came two time he was wonderful, helpful and really professional.

    Poor service! Reserved at 9:45pm was told to leave and that the kitchen was closed. There was someone right in front of us same time we walked and they were seated. Beware!!!

    Bel accueil à l’entrée. Notre table était prête pour nous (2 adultes 2 jeunes filles 10-11ans). Service plutôt lent de notre serveur. Sans nous expliquer le menu où nous demander si nous voulions quelque chose à boire, il s’est approché à notre table pour prendre notre commande. Pas la fin du monde, mais un manque a notre avis. Les entrées étaient très biens, soupe à l’oignon (délicieuse), tartare de thon et crevettes croustillantes. Le maître d’hôte est venu nous voir pour nous aviser que le plat commander par mon mari n’était plus disponible et lui a offert un autre plat qui lui plaisait. L’approche du maître d’hôte nous a fait apprécié le service, très différent du serveur. Les repas étaient aussi très biens, côté de veau et filet mignon que nous avons partagés à 4 pour ensuite se régaler des desserts. Nous y retournerons.

    Too few staff members for the night and they could not manage the chaos. It took far too long for someone to wait on our table, to get us drinks and then to bring food. Very disappointed.

    Went to Magie Oaks for New year's dinner. The quality of the food was not worth $ 150.00 per person. The meat was simply some sort of braised short rib and they left all the hard fatty tissue on the portion . On the menu they claim it was a loin and the waiter even went as far to say that it was a piece of filet mignon. I can say for sure because i am in the meat business that it was not a loin nor a filet mignon. The establishment vastly embellished the menu and the evening as a whole. Its a shame. I would hesitate to invite friends again to this restaurant.

    We reserved an early New Year‘s Eve dinner. Unfortunately there was only a four course dinner and no menu. We didn‘t know that up front. The food was good but a bit too pricey. Nice location though in old town Montreal, nice restaurant, good service

    We chose this restaurant after seeing it on several “top’ lists. It was awful. Blah ambience, we waited 15 min for anyone to greet us. Finally order and wait 15 min more for drinks. Oysters arrive before drinks…with no plates, we ask never received. Before we finish oysters steaks arrive—most uninspired presentation for $80 t-bone. Our sides take another 10 min. They get my son’s burger wrong. Waite never checked in. JUST AWFUL FOOD ANS EXPERIENCE.

    Wonderful meal and great service! Wish I had gotten the waiter’s name so I could publicly sing his praises. Seated in a front corner by the window on a snowy evening was icing on the cake.

    Very disappointed. Appetizers and drinks took an hour. After an hour and 45 minutes they said they’d made a mistake with the entrees and it would take an extra 5 minutes which became almost 15. After all of that the food was rather mediocre. They did send us a comp dessert plate but it in no way made up for the overall experience.
