I asked for a rare steak and got a well done steak. Waiter didn’t came back to ask if we were okay or give us more water or wine. It was my first and last time. I expected a lot since I heard a lot of good things about this place. Overall I was disappointed.
Arrived with reservation for high top table inside. When we requested to be seated outside - no problem - we were seated on beautiful outdoor patio.

Had brunch at Maggie Oakes I arrived before my brother and niece and requested a coffee and the viennoiserie tray. I got the coffee right away, with cream, even though I mentioned that I didn't need any and had to ask for the viennoiseries again 15 minutes after my arrival as I was still waiting. The waiter's response was short "it's coming". When it finally did get to our table, it was very good (and worth the wait). I had the Florentine/Salmon Eggs Benedict, my brother had the Ham Eggs Benedict and our niece had the stack of pancakes. All the dishes were very good, but the service was not the best, we felt left alone except for my coffee being filled every 30 minutes or so, we had to ask for salt which was met with the busboy simply pointing at the waiter. At the end of our meal, after the plates were cleared, we waited almost 30 minutes before we could find the waiter for our bill. The service was lacking, I do realize that when we arrived we were on the terrace and it was busy, however, by the time the dishes were cleared the terrace was almost empty so we shouldn't have had to ask the hostess to find our waiter for the bill. But, let me reiterate, the food was really good and worth the wait.
Very good food, lovely employees but waiting time very long (one hour and 15 minutes for the first course, a sea food platter). Too much noise inside.

Unfortunately, it took over 1h20 minutes to receive our order. We had made a reservation at 8:15 in order to finish before the 10pm fireworks but had not even received our main dishes in time.
We left at 9:55 without having received our meals yet.
The lack of service is mind boggling. Would not recommend to anyone.
Worst service I’ve ever had a restaurant! Took over an hour to get our meal and all we heard was “the kitchen is busy” despite the fact that many tables around us who were seated well after us finished well before us. So frustrated by the delay, we had to eat too quickly to be able to stay on schedule for another event. Won’t go back.
They have a great location and a very nice dining area but unfortunately they were supremely overwhelmed tonight we were there . The service was extremely slow drinks were constantly empty and it was just over an hour from the time we ordered to the time we received our food . The quality of the food was OK had good flavors but most of the food was not served very hot . It was an underwhelming experience that was quite pricey .

The ambiance was good, and it’s in The Old Port. I had high expectations because i heard good things, but overall it didn’t meet my expectations. For the price, the food is not worth it. The cocktails were really good, but they took a long time to make them. Maybe hire more people for the summer weekends when there’s a lot happening in the city (comicon, fireworks...).
The bathroom was a bit hard to find since it was at the hotel lobby to which the resto is attached. The bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper, hand soap, and the dryer wasn’t working.
The resto should either lower the price to match the food quality or cook better meals with better ingredients and portions to justify their price. It felt like the price is set high so the resto can pay for the expenses related to the prime location.
The music wasn’t too loud, and the music selection was perfect!

I've read the reviews and see the ranking before choosing this restaurant. Big mistake, big mistake. They are busy, that I don't mind and prefer to eat in a busy place that means it's a good restaurant. However, I realized that they cannot manage the capacity. Like they give out a small menu instead of the regular one that they usually has since they said it's easier for the kitchen. And it tooks 40 mins for the first service for asking what do you want to drink. After we see that, we try to order drink, appetizers and entrees all at once instead of waiting 40 mins each. We still wait for 30 mins for the appetizers, we only order some simple plates like cold cuts and cheese. I've order steak, medium rare. However, it comes out well done. Very disqualified for a 4.3 stars They come over ask is everything good. I mentioned that my steak is well done, they just said OH! may be the kitchen is busy!!! But they didn't do anything or say anything other than that. I'm very very disappointed with this restaurant. Never go back! For the amount of money I pay, there is a lot of choice. The place is loud and not comfortable. If you cannot handle the capacity, do not seat the customers and just let them wait.
The food and ambience were good, the service was very slow (over 1 hour to get our meals), the portions were small ...we each ordered a Halibut dish with a side of cauliflower and a cheese platter and it was just enough to be full. Came out to $140 for two people (with 2 drinks). When they lower the prices (or make sizeable portions) and improve their service, I will return.
We went to this restaurant for breakfast.The food is just ok nothing special. I wouldn’t go back for breakfast.
The atmosphere was great. The decor stunning. The waiter awesome. The food and drink left alot to be desired especially for the price. We expected to eat well. Steak could not be chewed. The sangria was the worst we have ever had. It was watered down and tasted like flavored water with-a few a blueberries. Luckily they took it back after second attempt and we got a bottle of prosecco and a few drinks. The beet salad tasted great first time even though they forgot pecans so we ordered a second. The second came with pecans but this time the feta tasted like cottage cheese. I really don't get it. Salmon tartar was good. All in all it is good for show but not for food.

Salmon was excellent. Cheese plate was varied and plentiful. Salad was average - not the freshest. Outdoor seating was cramped with plastic chairs and worn tables. Service was attentive and prompt.
The dining room was not even half full and it took almost an hour and a half to get our food.To be honest for the price charged the food was not very good.I don’t plan on returning to this restaurant.
Food was very good, but kitchen was very very slow. We waited 2 hours to get our food. Others around us complained also. Some people who arrived after us got their food before us. Manager did the right thing and comped our meal, but would not risk going again even though food and ambiance were good.

It was a very poor experience all round , the food took a long time to arrive that’s ok I understand it’s a little busy , not overly busy . When the food arrived everyone except one persons arrived until about 10 min later . the food was very inconsistent three of us ordered the same meal but each one was different, one came with no mash , one with no sauce and to be honest the sides were very minimal. We were not even given steak knives we needed to ask for them . The music was very loud inside and hard to have a good conversation. We all received or bills and the price for each main dish was more than was indicated on the menu by at least $5 more .. what the ?? . We brought this to the waiters attention they tried to give an excuse that we were given the old menu and they were the new prices , ??
Unbelievable !! There is no new menu ! this was a really bad experience probably the worst restaurant I have been to in Montreal..

Music was way to loud - food was at best average- service was alright but could of been better
I hate to say this because I had dinner there a year ago and loved it but brunch on father’s day was the worst dining experience I have ever had anywhere. The food took over an hour to come out and the restaurant was not overly busy. 3 of the orders came out wrong and 5 of them came out cold. One wasn’t even fully cooked. I hope it was just a random bad day but I unfortunately won’t be going back.
The food was okay, but unacceptable service.
Would not go again.

This looked like it had great potential. But we were disappointed. The menu looked good, but most of our food was cold. Our waiter seemed annoyed that we asked for cream for our coffee. He was inattentive after that. We had to flag down others for coffee and water refills. The yogurt and granola was very good. The eggs Benedict Florentine was cold and one of the poached eggs was hard boiled. The vegetarian omelette was also cold.
Grand Prix weekend, understaffed & overwhelmed. Would go back on a regular weekend without the limited menu.
Un grand restaurant (seulement en pieds carrés). Si c'est le seul souper que vous prenez à Montréal, svp, allez ailleurs. Il y a tant de bon resto en ville, mais pas lui. Plus d'une heure pour un steak, beaucoup trop salé. Une bonne viande n'a pas besoin de sel de cette façon. Foie gras poêlé (du lard salé ferait la même chose, encore trop salé ). Après 50 minutes d'attente, nous avons demandé quelques chose à grignoter, fiou, 3 petits pains sont finalement arrivés en même temps que la viande. Patates pillées, 2 choux fleurs, 2 brocolis mous, 4/5 asperges tiédasses. Le gin tonic est bon quand même. Bon filet mignon, mais tout ça à 30% trop cher. Quand tu as hâte de quitter après un souper, ça veut tout dire.
I have been here several times and am usually very impressed. We went during F1, which we know is busy, but the service was horrible. It took forever to get our drinks and food, our server was very scarce, and they forgot items several times. They know F1 and summer are busy, they need to be better prepared for weekends like this; I expected a lot more from them.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing decorations. Went on Grand Prix weekend and the staff were great on being very helpful and hospitable with reserving. Seemed very busy but not all tables were taken. Service was still quite slow, especially for tomahawk steaks. They told us that it would take 40 minutes to prepare a tomahawk steak but it took over 1 hour 45 minutes to receive our steaks. When we received the steaks they were lukewarm. A bit disappointed considering we are paying top dollar for this experience. Overall good but a little cautious coming here next time.

I had read all the reviews and was expecting much more. The service was wonderful but the food not so much.
Sat outside, tables too close together, people squeezing past all night including waiter who knocked over a glass of red wine, some of which went over my white shirt. I was left to clean it up myself and the napkin I used wasn't replaced. Replacement glass of wine took 10 minutes to be delivered. Too many tables, not enough room or staff to cover it, service suffered. Food was mediocre.
Overall average. Food was good. My steak tartare was delicious. Husbands medium rare steak was more like medium. A few details you'd expect from a restaurant of this calibur were missed.
