Enjoy a thick slice of our famous wagyu prime rib with au jus and horseradish cream for $19, sliced hot & to order by Chef Michael Fojtasek from Maie Day’s premier tableside prime rib cart. Add on creamed kale and mashed potatoes for a full plate or go all in with a special side of bone marrow, too.     We had a great time at Maie Day! We were able to snag a last minute reservation for a party of 6 and we all had a wonderful time. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Food and drinks were well timed and really delicious. The chocolate was a true hit at the end, too! Also the ambiance was really great, too. I'll definitely go again!

    I had the wings before and one wing made my entire mouth tingle. I dreamt about having them again but this time they weren't nearly as tingly. The umami wasn't the same.

    Awful experience. 6 of us ordered the the prime rib hash and not a single person enjoyed it. Zero flavor, and there was NO meat at all. They told us the use the throw away prime rib from the day before for this dish. It was not good. Drinks not worth the price either

    They over  salted the french fries so much it was insane. Of all the great steak houses in Austin I would go somewhere else. Nothing creative or unique. I did have a good cocktail.

    While the service was great, the food was disappointing. We ordered the creamed kale, Mac and cheese and shared the prime rib. While the serving size was ample and more than enough to share for two, the kale and Mac and cheese were so salty and the Au jus was bland. For nearly a $200 meal, I would rather go elsewhere for better quality food.

    I booked this because it had good google review and the food was pretty good. The reason for the lower score was for a simple "Ask" of the chef. We ordered 2 meats and 3 vegetables and decided to eat family style, trying different things. We ordered a $70 piece of Prime Rib, when it arrived, we asked for them to cut it for us so we could continue to share. THEY Refused to cut it for us. When we sent it back a second time and asked someone to cut it, they refused again. We had all used our knife/forks, so proper etiquette would be to use a clean knife. Needless to say, we sent it back and told them to take it off our bill. I found this to be extremely unaccommodating.

    Enjoyed the creative take on most items- from the grilled bacon and green beans, to the dry-rubbed chicken wings. All unique, well prepared, and accommodating to 3-4 people per serving. Only disappointment was the raw oysters- quality was ok (all NE sourced), though size was overall dissatisfying for that or any price point. Sourcing better yield per oyster separates the good from the great (especially at that price point).

    The cornbread is the best you'll ever eat. If you know Southern food, skip the chicken fried steak and mac (meh). Both were adequate. The steaks are better. The cheesecake was unique and 100% worth it.

    Get the chicken fried steak, you won’t regret it! We had that to share along with some oysters and the chicken wings and LOVED it all. I’m from Texas and love a CFS and it’s honestly one of the best chicken fried steaks I’ve ever had.

    I've been to Maie Day several times and love the food. My only bone to pick is that the dining room is so noisy, that you almost have to yell for your table to hear you due to the echo. Food suggestion: ribeye + mac & cheese + mashed potatoes.

    Prices have gone WAY up. $375 for 3 people to eat what is amazing food but not an elegant environment is ridiculous. They need a carpet and some noise dampening panels as the noise was intolerably loud inside. I love the food but you have LA’d Austin too damn much. Having said that the half chicken is the best brining I have ever tasted. Love the crab dip. The menu is really really well done. Never had a single bite that I didn’t love. Please drop the prices before I have to drop my love for your restaurant.

    Our server Vanessa was attentive and very helpful! The steak was definitely nit worth $70! Rubbery and wasn't 16 oz as advertised. Very disappointed with the highly priced menu. Atmosphere is very loud and hard to carry a conversation. Checked the box that we visited but will not return.

    The staff seemed busy and annoyed people were there; but it wasn’t busy. The dining room is loud and the restaurant was less than half full. The food is over priced but good. $70 for a 8 ounce (maybe) primed rib that is mostly fat; I would prefer to have it at Bartlett’s. The rolls were the best part👍🏻

    Food was very good. Shaved prime rib was delicious. Best cornbread ever. Chicken fried steak was very good. The space is extremely noisy. Disappointed they don't have regular coffee. Only espresso

    Maie Day once again places itself a league above. From the moment we arrived, we were attended to by friendly, knowledgeable staff at perfect intervals (the coursing out of dishes was done incredibly well). Each course was more delicious, well-thought-out and elevated than the last, and the cocktail menu and wine program were fantastic. 10/10

    Raw bar & apps are good. Salads and sides are criminally large. The salad could have used less greens and more dressing; easy solve by asking for the dressing on the side, but I’d expect better with a $22 salad. We had the chicken fried steak last time and it was enough for four people, but pretty tough. Maybe reduce the portion sizes (and thus the price) and concentrate on cooking the meats perfectly…then they’ll excel. It’s Texas. We have really good steakhouses here. They’ve gotta compete and not just bet on the location and design to win over customers. Dessert was okay. The whole place was pretty empty - only 2-3 other tables occupied. Overall, the restaurant could use some finessing.

    The ambience and location is pretty good. the Olamae name on biscuits - well deserved and is true at this restaurant as well. The biscuits were pretty amazing. Everything else was average or below average tasting - nothing special that warrants the price points. It's almost like they are not even trying. 1. lots of online posts have talked about over salting. This is absolutely true. a very heavy hand on seasoning. 2. Coffee - come on, try harder. They have an espresso machine but nothing to heat or froth milk with - what's the point? 3. Sunday brunch and they were out of waffle batter at 1230 PM/ so we were told we had to wait for 30-45 minutes for them to make a fresh batch. 4. $22 for a bowl of oversalted chicken wings with extra helping of salty blue cheese. The kitchen staff love salt !! All of this can be overlooked at a neighborhood diner - but at the very premium price point - absolutely not acceptable.

    Olivia, our service was outstanding. She was helpful in providing good suggestions and answering questions about several of our options. She was very attentive and right on time to fill our water glasses and schedule the next course for our brunch. The dining room was spacious, clean and chic. I'll be back bringing other friends!

    The AC was not working well, if at all, and we were literally sweating all throughout the meal - spice and red wine did not help. We were told the "system was old and the hotel just had not gotten around to upgrading it". For the price, food was good but not outstanding.
