Contemporary French
Legendary chef Daniel Boulud created his namesake Maison Boulud to reinterpret French classics. At his downtown Montreal restaurant, artisanal Quebecois products and local ingredients are used to craft modern dishes. The fine dining setting includes a cozy main dining room with a fireplace and a view of the open kitchen, a year-round greenhouse overlooking the Ritz-Carlton garden, an inviting bar, private dinings and two Summer terraces.

Service courtois, efficace et décontracté. Plats bien présentés, bons et copieux. Prix élevés et ambiance plutôt bruyante par moments si groupes ou rencontres d'affaires à proximité. Décor raffiné et sobre.

The lady who served us was perfect. She is intelligent, ready to please the client (without being obsequious), and patient. The only weak point of the evening was one of the main courses : the sauce of the spaghetti con vongole was too thick and heavy and it was impossible to taste the scallops (were there any ?). The plate is definetely not worth the price (CAD 44) charged. On the other hand the roasted artichokes, the fenouil salad, and the onglet were great.

Amazing experience - only downside: I was not informed that there was a big group event the day of my reservation, and as a result there was no available valet parking at the venue had to find parking elsewhere and walk and the tasting menu was not available which was the reason why we were going. Our waiter was kind enough and made suggestions so that it felt as if we had a tasting menu but off course it ended up being a little more expensive.

We went for lunch on a week day celebrating a big event. Everything was excellent: the service, the drinks, the food, the general atmosphere. We have been clients there for over 30 years and the new set-up is a beautiful improvement: not stuffy nor snob, just nice, relax and still with the class you expect from the Ritz.

Quite pricy but totally worth it. The brunch is delicious and very generous. As for the dinner, you shouldn't arrive starving since the portions are very small, but the food is outstanding!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Maison Boulud. The service was wonderful, and the food and drinks were excellent. We had the razor clams appetizer, the nimbus and grande madame cocktails, a few glasses of wine, the scallop entree and the steak entree with potatoes and vegetables as a side, and the lava cake for dessert, and all exceeded our expectations. The bread was delicious as well, and we appreciated the gift from the chef we were given after dessert. It may be worth noting that the menu wasn’t exactly as it appeared online (the lamb we saw online was replaced with another option on the menu at the restaurant). The atmosphere was lovely as well, and I’d certainly recommend this restaurant.

Un mélange de snobisme (les tarifs des 50 gr de caviar pour un BRUNCH ) et de médiocrité culinaire...
Des plats qui présentent les noires tentacules de la seiche que tout gastronome a déjà savouré dans sa partie charnue. Ce n’est pas l’art d’accommoder les restes mais l’art de recycler les déchets...
Une gaufre au dessert pour une dizaine de dollars sans aucun apprêt sauf deux trois baies. Je vais écrire chez Daniel’s restaurant magnifique pour les aviser que leur antenne montréalaise est en train de détruire la réputation de son chef.
Facture stratosphérique pour un brunch ordinaire ( non, les œufs meurette desséchés ).
On ne nous y reprendra plus.

J’ai testé un brunch 3 services pour l’anniversaire d’un ami et j’ai été un peu déçu par rapport aux attentes que j’avais. L’entrée était très bonne mais le plat manquait de saveur et d’originalité en toute honnêteté. Le dessert était correct.
Les serveurs étaient très corrects.

This is the third year we have come for a girls’ Valentine’s Day lunch.We all have a wonderful time.The service was terrific,the wine suggestion great and our server even brought us an extra basket of your famous madeleines.
Every seemed to enjoy their meals except that this year I felt as though there weren’t as many choices for me and my shellfish allergy.I ended up with a good club sandwich but I wish that something else had grabbed my attention from the menu.
But... we will be back next year!!!

Soirée pendant voyage pro, diner à 2. Conseils très avisés de la charmante sommelière pour un menu dégustation 4 plats d'une réalisation de haut niveau. Nous avons été ravis de la soirée passée dans cet établissement remarquable. Les mets étaient délicieux et équilibrés, le service était impeccable avec la considération équilibrée attendue.

Absolutely beautiful facilities and decor. Very low noise level. Our waitress was lively. The coffee is delicious. However, I ordered a salmon and cream cheese bagel and received a room temperature bagel that was not toasted and sort of on the flaky side (not very fresh). Needless to say that for the price point and quality featured at this restaurant, you would expect a bagel breakfast to be spot on. It took valet parking services about 20 to 25 minutes to bring my car back. My schedule is usually very busy. Losing half an hour to regain control of your car is not reasonable.

J'espérais plus de ma soirée pour le prix payé. Repas d'agneau en trop petite portion. Table ronde trop grande pour 4 personnes pas propice pour parler et c'était bruyant.

Excellent repas, cuisine classique très bien exécutée, savoureux. Avons pris le menu dégustation 8 services.
Ambiance chaleureuse , agréable, très beau décor, niveau sonore de musique juste assez pour l’ambiance, permet les conversations sans problème.
Service à l’avenant, bon rythme.
Aucune hésitation à recommander !
