Daniel Boulud's menu is driven by the seasons and bounty of Québec's local purveyors. The result: refined yet soulful contemporary French food, prepared here by Executive Chef Riccardo Bertolino.
While situated in the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, the restaurant, its bar & lounge and two private dining rooms have a vibrant identity all their own. Maison Boulud enjoys a view over the historic hotel garden and year round glass enclosed winter garden. Daniel Boulud's welcoming spirit, the casually elegant tone and glimpses of a partly open kitchen keep the focus on the cuisine, making this a daily gathering place for wonderful food.

Incredible setting/decor, the ducks are gorgeous!
Lors de la réservation, nous aurions aimé être informer qu’il y avait un mariage donc que nous n’aurions pas la tranquillité attendue de la terrasse.
Superbe première expérience. Des mets délicats et délicieux.
Not for the faint of wallet, but the food was fantastic and the service unparalleled. The courtyard seating area was especially nice.
Always fabulous experience at any Boulud establishment!
Great staff and delicious food....cozy atmosphere ...❤️👍
Booked the restaurant for an evening on vacation in Montreal, the service was excellent, overall a good dinner.
I made a reservation to Maison Boulud for a friend's 65th birthday. A milestone.
I specified at the time of booking that I wanted a private a quiet table for two. They made certain we had an exclusive spot in the Veranda, but not only that, they purposely did not book the table next to ours for the whole night to ensure we would have some privacy. What more to say......
Outstanding service and attention. Our waiter and the sommelier were "sur la coche". The entire staff in fact were outstanding.
The food was incredible. The portions, small but exploding with flavor. We sampled an assortment of appetizers and dishes, all very well presented and prepared. As a finishing touch to a perfect dinner, our waiter brought us some "right out of the oven" madeleines. Just perfect.
Yes, it will cost you to eat at Maison Boulud, but with any great restaurant, it is not only about the food but about the whole dinning experience. If you have a very special thing to celebrate, then I strongly recommend Maison Boulud in Montreal. You will remember your visit there for ever.
Terrible service. Super bland veal tartar. Clam spaghetti with no clams.
Overall a memorable experience!
What more does one want?
Excellent foo and service. Ver creative and tasty but expected from a michelin star chef
This is a restaurant that is relying on a celebrity chef name to get reservations but do not deliver. The chef is never there and the staff is lost with out him. Our meal was eventually given to us free because it was so bad. I do not recommend this place. We were hotel guest at the ritz.
Food and service were excellent. The garden was not yet as beautiful as it can be, probably due to the recent weather. And where were the ducks? Otherwise excellent and who needs ducks at dinner except on the plate?
Excellent food, great atmosphere, and perfect service.
Went alone, got seated at the bar which was fine. Lovely from start to finish, took the recommended Singapore menu, and received excellent advice from sommelier. Service was attentive but not too intrusive. Will be back!
Food and service was some of the best I've ever had. Our Sommelier was 100% on point with the wine selection. It was an honor to get to meet Chef Boulud himself, thanks to our wonderful server!
Our meal was spoiled by the restaurant seating obnoxious guests next to us (an f-bomb dropping tattooed trio of idiots). So we were forced to move tables. A good restaurant would have seated them in the bar area, or away from polite diners, as they were underdressed and clearly unsophisticated. A good restaurant also wouldn’t tolerate their behavior. If you’re looking for fine dining, Boulud might disappoint.
Good food. Had high hopes of experiencing the chefs tasting menu however bring the Grand Prix weekend, It was not offered. Quite disappointed As the Grand Prix Fix Did not move measure up.
Good food but busy night. The tasting menu was a nice experience
When we first came in, we were greeted and told to wait about 5 minutes as they were just setting up the tables. They open for brunch at 12 noon. As other guests arrived, they immediately started taking them to their tables. After about the 3 table being seated, we reminded them that we had a reservation at 12. The hostess acknowledged us but did not do anything. After about the 7th guest being seated, my friend was getting frustrated, and asked when we would be seated, as all of these guest were coming after us and being seated before us. Finally they seated us. We were seated in the terrace, which was beautiful. Great atmosphere for a nice saturday brunch. The food was okay, I had an octopus starter, and a egg croissant sandwich. There was nothing special about the octopus, it was meh. I asked for no ham on the croissant, and they put no cheese, no egg, it was literally the stems of a green veggie and a croissant. When he served it, I told him I only asked for no ham, and there was nothing in the sandwich. He said okay and instead of taking the plate and fixing the sandwich, he brought me a poached egg about 10 mins later. 65 after tax and gratuity, not worth it, tons of nicer places in Montreal you can go to.
Faultless. Absolutely faultless. From the arrival to the end nothing. Thank you! We can’t wait to come back
Food was good but service didn’t meet the expectations I had from a Boulud/Ritz Carlton restaurant. Server was nice but forgot details (eg: table was wobbly. She was supposed to take care of it, but we had to flag a colleague of her when we got our main meal cuz it still hadn’t been fixed) and drinks rarely always came at least 5min after we got the food. Will go back to the Ritz for tea, but not for a meal
I just love this place!!!! I always make sure to save up , so I can come dine here.
We had a shockingly bad brunch last weekend. It was so bad that we returned to mention it to the restaurant, just to let them know that it was not up to the standard expected. Our name was taken so the manager could contact us. We received no phone call. We were embarrassed to have chosen Maison Boulud as a special spot to bring a guest from out of town. How can a Bolud restaurant serve 2 cold poached eggs rolling around on a dirty plate with a few greasy potatoes thrown beside them and slices of unripe tomatoes? Only 2 of 6 plates should have left the kitchen. Service was negligent at best. In case you are wondering, brunch was over $200 for 6 guests.
Service was impeccable, social and hospitable from the moment we walked in. Our glasses were never empty and pacing was perfect. The recommendations on food and wine were spot on and everything was deliciously complex yet well balanced.
Beautiful space, amazing food and great service. Prices are steep but a great experience overall
The fact that the place is in the Ritz Carlton says it all. It’s expensive, overpriced even, but you should know that going in. We did the 8 course tasting menu and it was phenomenal. Wine selection is vast, but significantly more expensive than other restaurants of a similar caliber. I probably won’t go a second time, but everything about the experience was incredible.
The food and service were incredible. We were sat on a patio next to a hotel bar happy hour that wa incredibly loud, but we just tuned it out. The sommelier seemed disappointed that we had preselected a wine, but got over it when we asked him about sherries...though he admitted he didn’t care for them.
I ordered the 3 course meal for the lunch. The salad was just so-so considering it's a 5-star hotel. The main course (chicken) was nice and the dessert was great. But I found other better restaurants in Montreal. I went to Europe quite often and eating good food growing up, so I always find food in Canada is just fine. Please forgive me.
Amazing service !!
From the appetizer to the desert, and everything in between, we had a perfect evening. The service was wonderful. The crab appetizer and the scallops main course were amazing. The warm Madeline’s were a special treat.
Perfect in every way from the Krug bubbly and Kristal caviar all the way through to the box of warm madeleines to take to our room; great wine list by the bottle or glass, friendly but polished and exceptional service in a garden setting.
was too windy to be sitting outside with the tent flapping beside us
Fine cuisine it is at Maison Boulud. Everything is just perfect. The food is amazing, the selection of wines is fabulous and the service is highly professionnel without being not too much. Of course the prices are at the level of the experience, but it worth it.
We thought we had saved the best for last but were disappointed in the food. The soup was more like a consommé with a few mushrooms thrown in, the duck was drowning in sauce, and the lamb was 1/3 of a rack. The only good part were the madelines for dessert that were light and fluffy.
Service implacable, ambiance so airy in the outside lounge.
Food was well prepared. I do not recommend Baignets
Breakfast was great!!!!!
We loved everything about it!
really a good place to set up for a romantic dinner. the environment is very descent and quiet, the stuff there was super nice and friendly, mine, Michelle, explained the main very clear and his recommendation was really helpful. service is super! nothing to complain about.
