Daniel Boulud's menu is driven by the seasons and bounty of Québec's local purveyors. The result: refined yet soulful contemporary French food, prepared here by Executive Chef Riccardo Bertolino.
While situated in the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, the restaurant, its bar & lounge and two private dining rooms have a vibrant identity all their own. Maison Boulud enjoys a view over the historic hotel garden and year round glass enclosed winter garden. Daniel Boulud's welcoming spirit, the casually elegant tone and glimpses of a partly open kitchen keep the focus on the cuisine, making this a daily gathering place for wonderful food.

A beautiful night with fantastic food and top quality service.
I had asked if it was possible to be seated at the chef's table and they made it happen... it was absolutely outstanding... Wine pairing and tasting menu were all fabulous... Service was impeccable... very knowledgeable in both food and wine... we will definately return for another celebration!
Très beau cadre, très belle ambiance, très bonne bouffe! What else ? :)
Beautiful outdoor garden. Tables are placed a nice distance apart. Food was good but not amazing. Service was above average but not outatanding.
I should have taken the table d’hote which was artic char. I had grilled chicken Caesar not good . My companion had the hamburger she took half home. Fries were good!
Everything was great. I was a little concerned that the food would be too eclectic, but every course was delicious and the service was excellent.
Very good overall, the only problem being the wheelchair accessible door is not that accessible after all because the door is not automatic and the ramp is a little too steep.
Our anniversary supper was great as always in our favorite restaurant. Julien our waiter was exceptional, his attention to detail and courteous manners made evening special.
Wow! Impeccable service. Delicious food with perfect presentation.
Service was attentive without being overbearing.
Highly recommend for an unrushed, memorable dining experience.
The entire staff integrated seamlessly and no detail was ignored (including everyone referring to by your formal name. The sommelier made perfect pairing recommendations, including a Sauterne with the pate and a spicy red with the sirloin. Described as a truly blissful evening.
We had to wait 1h40 min for the second plate to arrive.
And the president drinks we even had before this.
The food was really good , but too long is too long.
The maitre D was very absent!
( also it was cold due to heavy airco, staff saw it, but we needed to suggest to move to another table.
Last time for us.
2 starters and 2 fish main course, 1 bottle of Quebec white wine: 430 dollar. Seems enough to me.
We were glad to select the outstanding tasting menu. Each course was exquisitely prepared and presented beautifully. The wait staff described each course to perfection. We preferred the milky stout beer to accompany our meal. Just magnificent !
We were seated at the bar right where all the action takes place-the plating! Food was great! Ordered foie gras poutine, and duck carpaccio. Both very good!!
We were late for an hour but they managed to squeeze us in. Much appreciated!!!
Celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at Maison Boulud. Took the $90.00 four course meal. The Pappardelle duck ragout pasta appetizer was awesome as well as the Cornish hen. The dessert was sensational. Rhubarb cooked in Sugar Crust, Yogurt Mousse, Chamomile Sorbet|, while husband took Chocolate Coulant, Fleur de Sel Liquid Caramel. Thank you Miho for your wonderful service!
We had a wonderful time celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday. Thanks to the staff for making it special
Wonderful meal and excellent service as always.
The food was great. Atmosphere was ambient - they have a lovely outdoor space. The service was somewhat unusual for a Boulud place. Our waiter spilled water over a placemat while trying to get attention of another waiter to attend the next table, just said "sorry madam" to my 9 years old daughter and left. This was a bit odd.
I've been to Maison Boulud many times. It is my go-to restaurant when in Montreal. Every dish is superb, melt in your mouth, delicious. I always get the 2 or 3 course fixed price meal and it never disappoints. Best Cornish hen ever and their chocolate lava cake is to die for. They will accommodate allergies as well. Great spot - you can dine outside in the private courtyard or inside in their modern restaurant which is attached to the Ritz Hotel. Highly recommend.
Beautiful location, however, not very well used and designed. The food is ok, I was expecting more. It is a mixture of old France cooking and nouvelle cuisine however, I don't think it was well executed. The service is good but they were still learning.
This is one of Montreal’s finest dining. With classic French know-how, 5 star service and and tasteful wine list. Can’t go wrong.
On the occasion of my granddaughters birthday we ate at Madison Boulud. The food was delicious and the waitstaff were extremely thoughtful. We plan to do this again next Birthday
Absolutely a gem in Montreal! Excellent service and the food is exquisite!
Always lovely for lunch. Perfect outdoor terrace to enjoy lunch. One of our favorite spots for lunch in Montreal.
The tasting menu was the best to date in Montreal.
Fresh ingredients carefully cooked and composed. Tasty all the way through.
The service is professional and the decor warm and chic.
Over years I have been to this restaurant quite a few times and never been so disappointed, the food and the service were both awful, to me the Tuna carpaccio was unenjoyable, the sauce was overpowering the Tuna, and the artichoke (I'm not sure though if it was an artichoke or something else because I couldn't eat) was tasteless and hard to chew. The Ceviche was good but not great, the Piglet was just ok, not that dish that one goes to Boulud to eat. The Dover sole, not a $62 dish for sure. The coquelet was probably the best between all. The service was very very slow. The servers were kind and understanding. We were so disappointed that we left without having any desserts, on top of this Chef Boulud himself was also in the kitchen, I wouldn't go again.
We arrived at Maison Boulud on the Saturday evening of Grand Prix weekend and left with only positives to say about the excellent service, quality of the menu and the meal itself!
This my wife and I favorite restaurant in Montreal. The food and service is always excellent and the ambiance great.
Keep you the great job. See you next month.
We wanted to try this restaurant to celebrate our son's graduation from McGill.
Friends had recommended this restaurant as one of the top restaurants in Montreal and it did not disappoint. We had a top notch experience here and our server was so warm and accommodating.
10/10, many thanks
First class. Délicious food and excellent service. The best in Montreal.
The service & food was great. However the seating was average. We had a table in the verriere and the chairs are low and the wood table high this was a bit uncomfortable. Also the wood table looked more like pick-nic outdoors tables and in the spaces there was crumbs which was not very appetizing ... Overall very good experience will recommend to family & friends for special occasion.
Was there for their Sunday brunch as well as to celebrate our anniversary . They have fixed menus with a 2-service or 3-service option; we knew what to expect before we arrived as their menu is posted in their web site. My lamb was cooked to perfection and my partner’s orecchiette was perfectly al dente.
The wine selection is varied as is their prices, and the service staff were very helpful when came time to recommend.
The overall service was non-obtrusive, friendly and not overbearing. Not a big deal, but when I pointed out our coffee was, at best, lukewarm, they immediately apologized, removed and replaced our cup right away.
The noise level is next to nil and your neighbours’ tables are set far enough apart that you not forced to cup your hands over your ears in order to hear what is being said at your own table.
We definitely plan to return for an evening meal to help celebrate another occasion.
Impeccable service. Great food. This is best dining experience in Montreal.
