I was there twice and same conclusion: the food is not that excellent for a gastronomic restaurant. Very good but not outstanding like other restaurants I did in Paris, NY, London... The WOW effect is missing in the plate and in the decor. Overall too expensive for what it is. Almost 70$ for "spaghetti aux truffes" with al dente spaghettis covering max half the plate and 7-8 truffle chips on the top was even some kind of a joke. The service was very good and the atmosphere cosy though.

The most underwhelming experience unfortunately. Nice endive salad, really poorly prepared porchetta. Great service but genuinely the most disappointing experience as Daniel Boulud restaurants are generally incredible and consistent.

The only real problem we perceived was that the table and chairs height is off! The chairs are too low for the height of the table but it’s all easily fixable - the table legs can be shortened- nothing drastic.

We keep on returning to this restaurant for having a casual and leisurely lunch with friends and or for business lunch occasions. The setting is like an oasis in the heart of the busy city of Montreal - in the summer the beautiful garden and the pond with ducks give it a magical touch and in the deep of the winter the sun filtering through the atrium setting lifts one's spirit in the middle of the snow and freezing rain episodes.

The food is always excellent innovative yet reminding one of familiar homely tastes and the presentation is always superb. There is a good choice at noon and the two item or three item set menu is very reasonable. The daily wine choice suggestions are usually in the $50 range for the bottle and always an excellent match with the menue offered.

The service can sometimes be a little unnecessarily condescending but at this visit we had an older and experienced server with excellent but discrete humour and who was very attentive to our wishes.

At the coat check I stood in line but when my turn came the attendants turned their attention to a new arriving group rather than serving me on my turn. But while checking out I got good service - so I hope that first glitch was just that, a glitch. Also when I called around 11 am to see whether we could change the reservation to 12:15 I was given a lecture and decided to keep our initial 12:30 reservation. When we arrived there did not seem to be any problems.

I discovered Chef Boulud on a Talk Show and decided to go for a business lunch with my colleagues, what a delightful surprise. From the moment you enter the restaurant you are greeted like royalty, coat check, coziest chairs with back cushion for more comfort, employees at your service in a blink of an eye, courteous, friendly and genuine and f course the food is just amazing, I am definitely going back, a real gem! Thank you for a most wonderful lunch!

Service was outstanding. Food was special and delicious. Ambiance was chic and comfortable. Wine steward was knowledgeable, accommodating and most pleasant . The only let down was the tea which was lukewarm, including a second pot and insufficient mint leaves. All in all a definite gourmet treat!

This was an amazing experience. Firstly, the interior is very nice; the decorations and environment are accented but not gaudy, and the dining space (chairs, tables) is very spacious. For the food, I initially had doubts as to whether or not the portion sizes and menu options for Saturday brunch would be filling or diverse enough. However, the amount of food served (including dessert) was definitely enough. There was also a variety of appealing dishes to choose from, The hospitality was excellent. The servers were very in synch with both us and each other, working like a well-oiled machine. Everyone was very courteous, and cared for us well. Overall, good food, good atmosphere, and good staff. Memorable.

Excellent, attentive servers. Food was equal to any of the many Michelin starred restaurants I have eaten at in past. When my wife didn’t care for the Chablis by the glass we ordered they opened a bottle of wine that was only available by the bottle and poured her a glass. Friendly and courteous. A great dining experience.

Make a plan B because we were done our appetizers, main course and dessert in 1.5 hours.
