Maison Parisienne - French Café
We liked this place we went twice during our stay. Friendly and authentic, what more could you ask for?
Great food, great service! I am French so I am very picky when it comes to Crench food and it was simply perfect!
I will go back, and I highly recommend it!
We had a lovely lunch at M-P. The quiche was beautiful. The baguette would be worth the trip.
Birthday breakfast with my family.
An authentic and intimate French experience in Lakeview! My visit was a Wednesday morning for a business brunch. The food, coffee, and service was très magnifique.
Great food. Great experience. Will be back often! Thank you!
Excellent quiche and salads, reasonably priced. One disappointment was that the Croque Monsieur is pre-made so they are unable to omit the ham. Overall it is a pleasant place with good French food and good service, a short walk from the Belmont L stop.
Food was excellent, obviously very fresh high quality ingredients were used. Highly recommend!
Lovely, lovely, lovely! Delicious food and Wonderful service !
Loved the relaxing French feel and delicious food.
Quiche is amazing! Pastries impeccable!
MP is so cute. All of the staff are from Paris. They have the best quiche in the city and great croque and sandwiches too. Great couches for lounging and relaxing.
Food was phenomenal, coffee was great, and dessert was amazing
The restaurant is really cute and comfy, and the food is good, but the outstanding thing is their chocolate and almond croissant: absolutely my favorite in the city.
Maison Parisienne is a fantastic little gem that I found in Lakeview. Delicious quiche, salad, French onion soup, croque monseur, eclairs, and tarts. Also, the place has fabulous staff and ambience. My boyfriend and I could not get enough. We will be back again and again. I can’t wait to go again and try more of their delicious food.
This is our 4th time here for Brunch. Usually we go when they first open so it is super quiet. This time we went closer to noon and the place was packed so thanks for being on opentable! Seating is limited as the location isn't huge so if you have more than a couple people plan ahead.
The food is great. Until these guys showed up we had to truck down to La Fournette to get an outstanding Pan Au Chocolat. Their french roots show in the ease of the pace of the meal which is refreshing in the mob chicago brunch scene.
The quiche and tarts are made ahead and warmed up on demand. My only critique would be to heat them a bit more so they come out hot hot and not just warm-ish. I'm sure there is a trick in getting that just right w/o having the slice loose cohesion -- but its still tasty and keep coming back.
We sometimes grab a fresh baguette for later.
Don't come here if you are a person looking for quantity over quality for the price. This isn't cheap eats.
The staff was so great with my Mom for her birthday. It meant so much to me. They were very accommodating and did a great job explaining the french cuisine to us.
This is a delightful, friendly French cafe and bakery serving authentic French food - breads and croissants are made from flour and butter imported from France - My friend and I had the quiche and raspberry tart - the quiches were delicious and texture was almost like a custard - tart was also delicious - very fresh raspberries - this will be a go to brunch place for us
made with butter, flour and chocolate imported from France with great skill, these French pastry chefs are making the best croissants, breads, and quiches in Chicago!
A delightful little French Cafe. A small, but perfect menu for breakfast and lunch.
Really wonderful pastry, croissants, baguettes quiche, sandwiches and salads.
They have a nice outdoor patio. A lovely place to eat authentic French pastry
and enjoy a quiet conversation.
We had two gluten free guests in our group of five, and the restaurant went out of their way to accommodate these needs. we were most appreciative.
The quiche lorraine was fantastic. Great coffee and the cakes were awesome.
Having returned from a trip to Paris, we were missing the food. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great, absolutely everyone working at the restaurant was kind, funny and interactive with us. We went for brunch. The food was really good! It was like being back in one of the bistros in France.
So nice to have an authentic French bistrot in the hood!
Breakfast was delicious !!
This place was so cute! I felt like I was sitting in a café in the middle of Paris. The pastries were amazing, the quiche was amazing, the coffee was outstanding. It's this quiet little coffee place that you would not expect to find in this neighborhood - i recommend it for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I will be going back again and again.
Authentic French patisserie with great food and great service.
Very overpriced - host was friendly but rest of staff bordered on rude - food was bland and tasteless
The closest it can get to french cuisine! Love it and highly recommend it!
This is a very charming cafe serving authentic French food. Their croissants and quiches (which they call tarts I believe) are to die for. They import all of their butter and flour from France. They serve Intelligentsia coffee and also have a lovely selection of teas. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Amazing service at an amazing price! Loved the food and the atmosphere. Definitely coming back to sample again soon! Delightful service. Great Brunch
Wonderful food, cozy and quiet atmosphere, and the service was fantastic! The raspberry rose macarons has made it into my top 5 desserts of all time.
Service was informative & friendly, the croissants were just like in France. Quiche Lorraine was perfect, while beef bourguignon was savory. Raspberry tart & pear tart were delicious. Highly recommend
Did the full brunch which at first seemed pricey, but considering the amount of food and all the ingredients being flown in, it makes sense.
Super nice people and easy paced meal. Good coffee too (Intelligencia).
Will definitely be back.
Couldn't have been more pleased with our brunch!
Excellent & authentic French food!!! Chocolate croissants are flaky and the quiche was the best I've ever eaten. The staff is very nice and I really love the French atmosphere (decoration, music, accent...). My new spot! :)
Service with French people is so cute :) Food was so good and especially the Boeuf Bourguignon and French crispy croissant!!! I will come back!
This cafe is so charming! I'm biased because I live in the Lakeview neighborhood so convenience takes precedent. The owners are from France so it doesn't gets more authentic. I've popped in for their macaroons, eclairs, flourless chocolate cake (they call it something else), etc. I've sampled it all and this cafe has always exceeded my expectations. I met a friend there for brunch on a Saturday, too, and they serve you copious food so pace yourself.
If you'e there on a weekend and they've sold out of their chocolate macaroons, you can blame me. Oh, they recently opened their outdoor patio. Lovely!
