We loved it here. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars throughout was that we found the music a bit loud and inappropriately chosen. A soft jazz or classical would have suited the restaurant ambience better than the dominant beat.

The tagliatelle and coquilles St-Jacques were innovatively flavoured. The heirloom tomato salad was refreshing and beautifully balanced in its ingredients. The servers were informative, attentive yet not intrusive. Beautiful building and dining room, with interesting architectural features, harmoniously balancing antique items with modern wallpaper, for example.

The restaurant is housed in a lovely mansion. The restaurant’s interior is elegant and intimate creating a great backdrop for a wonderful dining experience. The cuisine is delicious and is served by professional and attentive staff. Whether you are there for Brunch, Lunch, Dinner or Drinks you will be delighted with the choices on the menu. They have creative cocktails and a great selection of wines. Ben, our server helped to make our dining experience a very memorable one; his attentive service and helpful suggestions were appreciated. From the food to the staff this is one restaurant that will have you wanting to come back. We look forward to our next dining experience at Madison Selby.

Selby's is such a lovely place to take a friend for her birthday lunch. The menu is smallish but varied, and authentically French. We went on a weekday and found it quiet, compared with their Sunday brunch or dinner services. Very attentive waiter with personality. My omelette was perfect, and my friend's quiche and salad just right. We sat and talked for long after their other lunch guests had left but we never got the feeling that we stayed too long. As a matter of fact, the "maitresse d'" brought over a small selection of exquisite cookies and berries with a single candle... totally not expected, and delightful. This is a place where you can treat yourself yet still have something left in your wallet. Recommended.

The music was way too loud, so people were speaking louder which made the restaurant extremely noisy. I would have preferred it if you had the option to choose from the lunch and brunch menus instead of just the brunch. Also, my friend and I ordered the same dish except that I ordered a side. My dish was served with the side several minutes before hers. In my opinion, both our dishes should have been served at the same time. The deserts were good but too pricey. I have tried several Oliver and Bonacini restaurants (Auberge, Biff’s, Canteen, Jump, Canoe, Bayview Village), it is the first time that everyone’s dishes are not served at the same time. Not sure if I would recommend Maison Shelby.

Great space, so beautiful and ambient. Came at a very nice quiet time, around 1:30 pm, for a business lunch with good colleagues of mine. Had the Just Peachy drink - was very refreshing and delicious! Couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat, so chose the omelette. Be prepared to have your tastebuds blown away by the flavour of wild mushroom! I typically love anything mushroom but I found the flavour of the wild mushroom to be quite overwhelming and I could not finish my meal. My colleague was of the exact same opinion. The beef tartare was delicious and fresh, nice seasonings, just needed a couple more flatbreads to accompany it. The one thing that stood out to my party was how there was a weird lack of communication between the mature female host/waitress and the younger male waiter, as they both served us, but as the guy would come and ask us if we wanted to order, wanted another drink etc., the woman would come and ask us the exact same questions as if the woman was making sure the male was doing his job correctly? Felt like they were doing the most, which wasn’t exactly a bad thing, just kind of awkward as it made myself and my colleagues feel like we were being second guessed or not understood properly? It was pretty awkward, but didn’t really matter since we still got excellent service and basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Would love to come back during dinner service to experience it then.

As we expected from an O&B restaurant, food was delicious and service was friendly and professional. The space is lively and charming, with one of the most gorgeous bars in town. Beautiful cook on the salmon, exceptional frites with the mussels. Definitely a neighbourhood gem, makes us wish we lived in the area.

Polished, friendly service. Nice to be on the patio on a nice evening - more if a chill vibe. The rooms inside are charming but get a little intense. Cocktails are pricey but we’ll crafted. Caesar salad a little bland but steak frites was excellent.
