Due to the incredibly slow service, we were put off. We were three women celebrating a 60th birthday, so it was disappointing. Our server was not in the least attentive: we waited to an inordinate length of time for our bottle of wine for two of us and a glass of wine for the 3rd person. The wine came after our appetizers. Previously I would have recommended Maison Selby, but not now.

It was a lovely Sunday evening dinner. The service and food were excellent. The only issue I had was that there was a party of six in the sunroom who were very loud. The patrons in the rose room reacted on more than one occasion as to how loud they were although politely decided to not say anything to the staff. I understand that people want to have fun on their evening out, but I also believe there is a fine line. The maître d’ might have suggested to the boisterous group that they were being very loud and to be mindful of the other diners in the next room.

The food and the service was great. However, we were seated next to a service entrance and very close to a rather noisy party. It all felt rather jammed in, like an extra table had been forced in where there really wasn’t room. On our next visit, we will request a table in the front room.

A charming setting. The brunch menu was very breakfast oriented - should have checked before we went, as we were really looking for lunch. Had a very young and inexperienced server. Service was slow and inattentive. Still it's a lovely setting and great location.

Beautiful setting. Responsive and attentive staff. Food very good. Soup arrived not hot enough. Server kindly heated it more for us. Coq au vin was plentiful. My son had the burger, which he said was excellent. Lemon tart for dessert was outstanding.

An 8:30 rez was all that was available for meals of steak frites and moules frites, both well prepared, flavourful and fairly fast to table. Service was pleasant if a touch confused on digestifs ordered after dinner. But hey, getting late for them by that time. Always enjoy the warm ambience, generally good service and food quality at this neighbourhood spot.

Great ambience and good food! Service was meh and not really attentive. Had to ask for coffee refills, sugar for coffee and salt and pepper not on the table. Server didn't check in once while we were eating our meal. Not sure if I'd go there again.

Ordered the coq au vin and steak frites as our main. The chicken breast was definitely over cooked. The steak however was perfection. Sadly our server was very absent. Nice person though. Just hard to pin down.

We were a party of 4 dining. Two dinner entrees arrived & it was at least 5 min til the other 2 arrived. No explanation. No checking to see if everything ok. Table for 4 is small.

I have dined many times at the Selby. The luncheon on November 14th was poor service, it was apparent the staff was new and poorly trained. My friends came from Europe, and I was anxious to take them to your restaurant and show off your excellent food & service. However, that did not happen on this day and it wasn't enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant when the service and staff are trained
