   Meh. My first time here was very good. Went for brunch this time, while the food is good, the portions are quite small. Ordered the full Selby and it doesn't compare to a full breakfast at other breakfast/brunch places.

   Dinner at Maison Selby was an amazing dining experience. We sat at the bar and our friendly bartender Wes, crafted some delightful drinks for us. The meal was delicious, especially the lamb and the cavatelli! Service was impeccable and ambiance was unparalleled. Food was great!! Thank you so much. I would highly recommend!!

   From the receptionist asking us to vacate the table within 2 hrs as soon as we entered to the service to the food, nothing was good about this place except for its interiors. A very forgetful experience

   Absolutely phenomenal! Enjoyed a wonderful meal with my partner, her sister, and friends while visiting from Halifax. Our Sever Andreas was on the ball, attentive without being intrusive, and knowledgeable! All of our food was absolutely incredible! From the lamb to the scallops, everything hit the mark! Atmosphere was fun, inviting, and very clean. Would definitely recommend it!

    Everything I ate and drank here was AMAZING. I ordered a spring Sangria 10/10, French onion soup 10/10, flat iron steak frites cooked perfectly 10/10, a crème brûlée 10/10 and the lemon tart AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND definitely visiting this restaurant again !!

    This is refined service and fine well prepared food in a classic iconic space. The interior is comfortable and varied coupled with a nice outdoor patio. A great spot if you’re local and worth coming to from afar.

    Beautiful historic building and friendly service, but the music was very loud - we are in our 20s and appreciate background music, but not when it stifles conversation, as it seemed to be doing with people sitting on either side of us. When we asked our server if there was a quieter room, they said that the volume was the same in the whole restaurant but they could turn it down a little, which we thanked them for. Then two minutes later, the volume was cranked back up again. I couldn’t hear what my partner was saying from three feet away.

    Food was absolutely incredible. Duck Parfait and Steak tartare done perfectly. Followed by best coq au vin in the city. Service was fantastic. Will be back very soon and would recommend to everyone and anyone!

    It was our second visit and we really enjoyed it. It’s better than Le Select since the new owners took over. We’ll definitely be back. Our server was excellent, the food was very good and we love the decor. A new favourite spot for us.

    Myself and my boyfriend had a fantastic time at M.S on a Friday night. We were in the front room surrounded by tall candle sticks and heritage windows. Not only was the food delicious but the ambiance was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend going late night for dining/special occasion.

    Food was good and drinks were okay. Options were different and prices more expensive than what was listed in the online menu. Loud generic electronic music detracted from the ambiance. Something about the layout of tables was off also, tables clustered together at ends of rooms with large spaces at the corners. The drinks menu in Sous-sol is the same as the main restaurant. Our waiter was excellent. Altogether seems like Maison Selby doesn’t know what vibe it is trying to create. It seemed like a haven for locals and the after-work agency crowd. Did not feel unique or special.

    This was my first time at Maison Selby but it came recommended by friends and did not disappoint. There were four of us, a mix of social and business lunch as we all knew one another. I started with the onion soup, which was excellent. One of my friends opted for the heirloom tomato salad and said it was delicious. For the mains, three of us opted for the burger - which was also excellent (and cooked to order) - and one went with the Tuna Nicoise salad. No one had dessert but the espresso was very good. Drinks were a mix of wine and beer (two and two) and were both good value. Service was attentive without being heavy and the overall experience was very pleasant. I'd definitely come back again.

    Wes was our server very attentive to our needs and made sure we had a memorable night fantastic hospitality Martin came out to say hello with a surprise cake for our anniversary and as a fellow chef his food is incredible we exchanged business card and will definitely be back in the future for more Tornado Rossini which I had and my wife had the Pernod mussel and fries we had a fabulous night Thankyou once again and keep up the amazing work

    Positive: staff are very friendly. Pretty rooms. Negatives: table was wobbly. No one acknowledged that we were balancing the table ourselves. Staff tried to remove our appetizer plate to make room for our entrées without asking if we were finished. Staff tried to remove an entrée plate for 1 of our guests when there was still a bite on it. Wine arrived not properly chilled. Took a while for them to offer help to quick chill it. Empty pepper shaker was dropped off at the table. We got the manager's attention of the issue, no apology for the mix up just a shrug.

    I got a nose bleed right before our mains came out and our server Russell offered to keep our food warm while I was gone. When I returned he brought back 2 fresh new meals for my girlfriend and I. Extremely kind and thoughtful staff and chef. Fantastic experience overall.
