Maize is a New American BYOB located in Perkasie’s business district in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Currently we are offering a 3-course tasting menu that changes daily based on what is seasonally available. We have two seatings: 5:30 and 7:30.

Everything is made in-house from scratch, using the best local produce, Pennsylvania raised meats and wild fish and shellfish from the North Atlantic.

We welcome you to Maize with a bowl of freshly popped popcorn with extra virgin olive oil, fresh parsley and chives, salt and pepper. Shortly after you will receive our biscuits with local honey and butter. We will then move onto a tasting menu that comprises some of your favorites of the past decade, as well as some soon to be favorites. And as always, we will finish dinner with our warm chocolate chip cookies.

Bring a couple of your favorite bottles of wine, relax with your guest(s), and allow us to take care of you.

One of the best restaurants in Bucks County. Farm to Table is an over used term but this is a true farm to table. All food is made from scratch and sourced locally. All meals are seasonal. Two seating per night and this is a BYOB. Excellent service!

This experience was perfect from start to finish. The staff was beyond lovely, the quaint ambiance was warm and inviting, and the food was stunning and delicious. Most of the group was celebrating a birthday and the staff made everyone feel special with a little extra sweet treat and community 'Happy Birthday'. The staff even left a handwritten birthday in the check which was the icing on the cake! I can't wait to come back again!!

An absolute gem of a restaurant. Family run, the chef and his team are informal yet the height of professionalism — from the flavors to the service. Our three course dinner was creative and diverse. Following a (family recipe) tender buttermilk biscuit served with butter and jam, we were given awesome bison short ribs with much flavor going on, then after the perfect pause, on to the swordfish dish which matched it’s predecessor in rich tastes and originality. Desert was a spectacularly moist cake with crème fresh and ice cream. We will be back!

Great place with the most delicious five course meals I have ever had at a restaurant. I've been here three times now and food has always been top notch. It may be small inside but everything they do is big. We got engaged here and they were over the top with gifts, photos, and blessings. The owner and staff truly care about your experience.

We were a group of four “foodies“ Two of us have been here before and two new people. Not always knowing what is on the menu is kind of fun and we’ve never been disappointed at Maize. Our first course was roasted pork shoulder cubes and a medley of different local fresh vegetables over handmade pasta. Each vegetable was done to perfection, and while it was a medley, each individual vegetable and flavor stood on its own. It was as bright and flavorful as it could be , the pork melted in your mouth with a mild smoky flavor. That was perfect. Our second course was pan seared monkfish over another creative medley of fresh local vegetables again perfectly done, and each individual flavor stood out and was in harmony with everything else. The presentation and garnishing is creative and spot on. The third course was dessert. Little dollops of crème fraîche and lighter than air chocolate mousse, and a devils food cake all perfectly surrounded by raspberries and blackberries with artfully placed “schmears” of raspberry purée and white chocolate sauce. The service is attentive but not intrusive. The waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Maize is a real gem in Perkasie. We’ll be back near the holidays.

This has become our place for special occasions, but we've also come with other couples just for a nice night out. Not only do they make special efforts to accommodate allergies and food preferences, but they keep this on record for future visits! Let them know in advance! Love the little extras, such as the seasoned popcorn, fresh baked biscuit, and chocolate chip cookie at the end. The meal is paced perfectly. Years ago, it was too slow. Somewhat similar textures in first and second courses, but very fresh, tasty, and ample portion size. At this time, there is no menu… The chef selects the menu and make substitutions for individual diets. For example, I had a gluten-free biscuit with honey and nondairy butter, a special green tomato gazpacho in place of the standard sauce on my entrée, and a pistachio chocolate treat rather than the chocolate chip cookie. The oat milk cappuccino was excellent.

We like this restaurant because you know where your food is coming from, and it's not too far away. The tasting menu was one meat, one fish and dessert, completely determined by the chef but taking into account food allergies. Everyone in the restaurant got the same meal. This was very freeing, and we enjoyed finding out what each course was when it was brought to the table. The food was delicious and rich, so I personally could have done with a smaller dessert portion, but no one else was troubled by this. Because we could bring our own wine, the total cost was reasonable for fine dining. We will go here again.

I was surprised with this restaurant. I was expecting small portions and uppity patrons. Everyone from the staff to the surrounding people were great! The food portions were well balanced and each course was better than the next. The style of dining is unique comparative to the area and I personally found it very nice. I will be back again! The theme was basic and unoriginal but this doesn’t retract from all the good! It is pricey despite this it’s not for nothing. The ingredients are locally sourced and delicious. The chef’s cooking is worth every penny.
