   Being our first time at the restaurant, we didn't understand that for we 3 middle-aged women, we should have ordered family style so that we didn't end up eating our mains (prime rib, lobster and lamb) without the salad and vegetables which we had ordered separately, one by one. Thus, we ended up eating heavy protein, all by itself, late at night as our reservation was at 8:30 PM. I would never come that late again for dinner service. The appetizer, Tom's Tots, were a highlight and we liked the beet salad. Other than that, I thought the Lobster Thermidor was scant and underwhelming and the Prime Rib was apparently not that flavorful. Aside from the spectacular view and pretty good service, I would say we weren't as impressed as we expected to be.

   Reservation was for 8:15 on tuesday may 30, and we were not sat until 9:45. 20 other people who came in after us were sat before us. We were then sat in the bar area not the dinning area. They need to hire proper front staff to prevent this very bad service. If that is the first impression when you arrive it is not a good one. Then to seat us in the bar.......

   Beautiful views around the restaurant. Our server was very kind, and showed great patience in listening to our questions about certain menu options as there were 6 of us! Well-designed, the seating was spacious and comfortable, and nice decor!

   Nice atmosphere, and food tasted good, however, and this is why my review is so poor. My diet is based on carbs and protein but low fat. I ordered the steak frites but asked for baked potatoes instead of fried. The server went to see what they could do and they could not accommodate. They had mashed potatoes but it had butter in it which tells me it's all pre-made, they couldnt bake potatoes, they couldn't provide mashed potatoes without butter, they had no rice options, literally no low fat carb option. I would expect that from a chain like an Earls, but even Earls will sub out the higher fat options with rice for example. Also, I mentioned no fat, and my steak came out covered in fat. I was very disappointed and do not plan on going back here.

    Enjoyed the cheese toast, beef tartare, prime rib and lamb. The Baked Alaska was recommended to us but it was way too sweet. Service and vibe of the restaurant was great!

    Our first visit was a great experience. The location is surprisingly easy to get to for downtown. The view is spectacular. The staff are true professionals who obviously care about your experience & are proud of their product. The food was delicious with every bite. Probably the best gin martini I have ever had.

    Everything from the food to the ambiance to the music was perfect! We couldn’t have asked for the better night honestly. Our waiter was amazing and so was the wine sommelier - we had a perfect wine paring with our meal for sure. Thank you so much!

    Despite the menu descriptions being rather vague and uninviting, the dishes are super delicious. We started with the crab roll, endive Waldorf, and oysters which were pleasant. The bone in striploin was just okay... Not fantastic. Baked Alaska for dessert was pretty good. Great venue

    Over all loved it, was a bit disappointed that we had to ask a couple if times for a window table. I had made the reservation a month or more in advance and indicated it was a special occasion and wanted window table. There were window tables available however we first initially sat at an inside table, I had to ask again for a window. Reservations I would think would have priority?

    The ambience, food, and the service were amazing! Thank you so much for making us such a special 20th wedding anniversary at Major Tom! We tried so many dishes like... -MT old fashioned, Butterfly Elbows(10/10), potato donuts (10/10),Major Tots (10/10), half oyster, steak tartare (10/10), Golden Beet salad (10/10), Strip loin steak, Garlic shrimp (10/10), Bordelaise sauce, 1/2 cavatelli, BT Breton Chion red wine OLD FASHIONED "BAKED ALASKA" (10/10).     Great food, service and location. Only irritation was the flash photography of people at the next table who were desperate to Instagram but didn't know how to take a photo in a dark and crowded restaurant. Would appreciate that being stamped out, but I’m just old and grumpy.

    I ate a delicious meal at Major Tom on Tues, May 23rd while attending the 2023 QuickBooks Get Connected event in Calgary. I ordered the Cheese Toast, Major Tots, 1/2 Dozen Oysters, Benchmark Angus Dry-Aged Bone-In Striploin Steak, and Potato Puree. I enjoyed talking with the friendly bartender David Kelly who is passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience! The food, drinks, service, and decor were top-notch and I understand why Major Tom is the hottest table in Calgary right now!

    Great location on the 40th floor looking North, south, and of course west towards the mountains. Service was excellent and food was also excellent. Large space and very busy with lots of people and staff moving about. The food was on the pricier side for Calgary. The restaurant is definitely recommended.

    Had a great time for my bday with my girls! They gave me a bday card and the candle for my dessert :) Overall great service and ambience. What a night to remember! Chic design and outstanding downtown view it’s such a vibe📸✨👌🏻 it was spacious than I thought! Great place for a special occasion, date night or girls night out! Food and drinks are great too.     From the moment we walked in the building we were treated so nicely. The staff wished us a happy anniversary and were all smiles. Once we headed up the elevator we were greeted by another hostess that wished us happy anniversary. As we were being seated another staff wished us happy anniversary. We felt so special . They gave us an amazing seat by the window. The waited was very kind and friendly. The food was outstanding. My hubby is very picky and he loved his meal. This was such an amazing experience for us.     I made a reservation to be seated by the window on the South side but did not get the table. What bothered me my was the manager (or I think, he was one of the managers) who I talked to was arrogant in his explanation. In any case, the service and food were excellent and I provided a good tip based on our server
