   Lovely setting for a quiet dinner. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. The service was slow as they looked to be short staffed. The menu was misleading in that key ingredients were left off. Th crab cake was actually crab salad on toast. The 'hamburger with lettuce and tomato' had blue cheese, etc.... The roasted potatoes that accompanied the steak were not cooked through. Overall would not recommend at this time.

   I am not usually one to write a review but I felt compelled to recognize Maldon & Mignonette for my amazing experience! I was there on a busy Saturday night and the service was so attentive! They have a seasonal menu and SO MANY GLUTEN FREE options I couldn't decide what to try. I decided on the oxtail croquettes which were crunchy bites of deliciousness with a fig jam on the bottom and the Paccheri pie OMG gluten free pasta with meat and cheese just like a slice of lasagna! Heaven! If you haven't been before you should give this GEM a try!

   Valentines Day price fixe…..soooo bad. 1 1/2 hrs in….I only got my drink, my wife never got hers. And we only received the appetizer. Oh wait, correction. We got a thin slice of half cold half warm piece of bread that came out on a dish from hell. Hell because it was 200 degrees. Two tables walked out after an hour, they never got any food, drinks, a clean table, etc. To the chef owner, it’s not enough to have decent if not pretentious food. Paintings with quotes of 3 chefs on the wall was a clue to the pretentiousness coming. Service was by an elderly lady that did nothing all night, a waiter/bar tender/busses/greeter/runner (same person) that was not even qualified as the runner. He actually dropped the check for a table and was told they didn’t even get their entrees yet, he didn’t even cop to the mistake, he said he knew and it was just so they didn’t mess up later. The actual runner was a nice kid but was noticeably not trained. This is a reservation only, price fixe menu. You know how many dishes, customers etc. you were absolutely not prepared. 360$ dinner, I only tipped out of empathy. Oh my scallop entrees was appetizer size and ice cold. The sauce already congealed. Dessert plate was again so hot, the quenelle of ice cream (some pretentiousness again) melted before the dessert got to my table. I think it was a Duncan Hines cake mix. Decor…I was upset I made a reservation at a crap restaurant the second I saw the decor. Sooo bad. The whole ordeal was 3 hrs long for an appetizer, entree and dessert. I’ve eaten a 15 course meal in less time…sorry now I’m being pretentious.

    I was a little put off by the confirmation call I received which stated "if you don't call back by 4 your reservation will be cancelled." That was a first, very rude, and not sure what the purpose is of making and confirming a reservation on open table. All was good when we arrived, and we wanted to order some appetizers to start, but we were told we could not unless we placed our entire order at the same time. We ultimately ordered the M&M sampler, which was ok. The pretzels were awesome - hot and fresh with just the right amount of salt. Main courses were Pork Chop, Scallops, Halibut and Duck Ravioli. Everyone was very happy with their respective entrees as the food was delicious. Service was a bit spotty. I think they were still in training. We could not get someone to come to the table to pick up the check for payment, but ultimately did. Other than kinks in the service, it was a good night and we would return.

    Very dark lighting, had to use a flashlight to see the food. 1 main waiter for the entire restaurant for a Saturday night, with 1 assistant server and 1 busboy. Food was middling. Appetizer of bacon and peanuts was tasty but fatty. Octopus was not flavorful. Side fish of brussels was good. Main dish of beef stew was tender but flavor was very mild. Chicken pot pie was topped with a big piece of corn bread, not pie crust or pastry; flavor was okay. Halibut was cooked correctly, tender, but flavor was very bland. Not worth a return trip. None of the deserts were gluten-free friendly except chocolate ice cream.

    Wonderful experience with great service and chef visits to the table providing tastes of food from the menu. Love the change of menus and the quiet intimate atmosphere. The flavors were so unique and impressive very European flare. Loved it!

    This chef /owner makes every visit special because his food is excellent. He has his staples and even they are unique such as the pork belly and peanut butter (addicting), and a great Caesar salad which is getting harder to find. I love the duck, classical and crispy.

    We have enjoyed Maldon & Migonettd in the past and it has gotten even better. The menu has interesting choices to suit every palate; the food is beautifully prepared and delicious. The staff is warm and friendly and Rob, the chef owner, makes it a point to come to your table to make sure everything is to your liking.. We can’t wait to return.

    The food was outstanding! It was our first time there and I loved it so much, I booked our office holiday party there as well. Everything about Maldon & Mignonette was enjoyable- the food, the drinks, the staff and the atmosphere were all great. It’s perfect for any occasion or no occasion at all.     We went for brunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Between 6 people we ordered the Seasonal Eggs Benedict, Egg Avocado Toast, The Hash Bowl and the Breakfast of Champions. Accompanied by a tasty Bloody Mary, it was a wonderful brunch. I would go back.

    We tried three different pastas and each one was excellent - lasagna, gnocchi, cacio e pepe. The pretzels with mustard sauce were an excellent starter along with a salad and roast carrots. The chef came around to ask about our meal which is a lovely personal touch.

    Food was ok. Our waiter not great w knowledge of menu. I ordered Harvest salad (that was good) as app and asked about Branzino vs pasta for dinner. He neglected to tell me the fish came w salad too. I went with fish as per his suggestion. The filed Fish had lots of bones. And couldn’t eat another salad that it came with. The ceasar salad had too much dressing. The place had nice decorations and great music tho:). Parking difficult too. Went for the gluten free aspect .

    Chef Robert is a top-of the-line chef. Both the summer and fall menus were available this week. The charred octopus appetizer was really a warm salad large enough to be shared or eaten as an entree. The octopus was tender and delicious. We had the scallop entree and the duck entree, both were great. The espresso creme brulee with dark chocolates ("crambulay" on the check!) was a perfect finish.

    My family and I went to Maldon and Mignonette for the first time July 1st. It will not be my last. It is a small restaurant with tables spaced nicely apart. I particularly liked the fact that it wasn't loud and you can talk to everyone at the table without screaming over background noise. Our waiter was terrific and explained the seasonal menu to us. Service was attentive- never had to ask twice for anything. Now the food- one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Salad portions are large enough to share. Caesar salad was great as well as the summer salad. I ordered the lobster roll, which was filled with chunks of lobster over frise. There was no filler and a bargain at 30.00. My husband had the swordfish- two large pieces which included a grain and vegetables. My daughter ordered the cacio e peppe. All pastas are made fresh to order. It was also a hit. For dessert we shared the peanut butter pie which was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. This place is a must go to.

    The food taste was very poor. The pasta was undercooked and hard. The Caesar salad dressing was loaded with cream. The lamb was raw. They also didn’t have 2 of the mains we originally requested. They definitely need a new chef. Could be a cute neighborhood place but not with the food cooking quality currently in place.

    We never had a mediocre meal at this restaurant, since they opened. So glad they are making it in these difficult times. The chef really knows what he is doing as far as balance of flavors is concerned. Worth every penny to give it a visit!
