   Things were not in sync at the bar area last night. First drink and app was great and then downhill from there. There seemed to be a bit of a rift going on between bartender and wait staff. They forgot to order our entree and it was a while before they even realized. When they DID order it, we had to eventually ask where our food was because another 30 minutes has gone by. People around us has come/eaten/and paid. The bartender gave us our bill and we had to tell him that we had not even received our entree. The food arrived with incorrect sides and had obviously been sitting in the back-lukewarm to cold. They were kind enough to remove it from our bill. We will go back because we have previously had good experience. So hopefully this was an isolated incident.

    The encrusted mushrooms weren’t cooked as previously served on a previous visit. Previously they had been cooked till brown and crusty with a butter and garlic sauce. This time they were boiled in a very watery liquid. Just not as delicious. They took them away and redid them and they were cooked in the same manner. We didn’t consume them and they kindly took them off the bill. The shrimp scampi still had part of the shell and tails still attached. Never had that before in a scampi dish anywhere else. Very hard to remove when covered in slippery cheese sauce. The hostess said that’s how they usually serve them.

    We have enjoyed many meals at Malibu. Last night I experienced a less than their usual standard of filet. Service as usual was superb but will wait for further reviews.

    The menu is concise but has offerings for all tastes. Our food was very good. I had broccoli which tasted excellent, but was slightly overcooked. That is my only complaint, and is really not a big deal. I had the Cod Piccata with black beans and rice which was excellent. The fish was moist and flakey and the beans and rice were tasty. My husband had the Filet mignon which he thought was excellent. Tender and cooked just right.

    Great Easter experience. Glad to see we could order our favorites rather than a minimal, higher priced holiday menu as some restaurants do. Super service. Food arrived perfectly prepared with normal wait time. We brought a friend who had never eaten there and he loved it.

    The place is very nice! Michael was our sever and he was amazing!! Went on a Tuesday at 4pm and sat on the outside tables, met some friends on my visit from Atlanta and we were the only ones outside, we enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious!

    I was really looking forward to eating here after having driven from Georgia for vacation. The service was slow as the waiter fell into the typical modern inability to multi-task trap. He was friendly enough and in the end championed for my uncooked steak after the kitchen simply through it back on the hottest part of the grill. It was inedible. To their credit, they took it off the bill. I am unlikely to give them a second chance should I ever visit Daytona again.

    After reading reviews in several sites, we were excited to try Malibu Beach Grill. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. The food was not great! Everything was bland. I thought it was just my steak until everyone at the table made similar complaints. My ribeye was very tough, leaving close to a third of it inedible. Another person at the table had the filet and questioned if they had even salted it. The two best items on the table were the baked potato and the free rolls.

    Place was not busy, but the kitchen was really backed up. Took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food and it was not good. The staff was very friendly and tried to make up for it by bringing us random things like spare chicken tenders and cold fries and a plate of cheese covered mushrooms, but disappointed with the experience. It was a reminder of just how hard it is to be good at the restaurant business.

    Very sad to see the quality of the food here slipping - it used to be my fav place in PO but the last 2 times we've gone it's been so disappointing. As I always order the same meal - Cod Piccata with Caesar Salad - I feel I can make a fair assessment. Yesterday I had to send the salad back as the romaine was brown & yellow - absolutely NO green to the leaves. Both times the cod has been undercooked inside & overcooked outside to the point of being burnt. The piccata sauce has no flavor just the saltiness of the capers. Hubby had the ribs which he used to love there. He said they were "meh" now - Longhorn & Texas Roadhouse have better flavor with less fat. I've heard other diners complaining to management the last time we were there so I don't think this is just my experience. Maybe the owners have re-directed their efforts to the new restaurant they just opened but I think we'll try some of the other dining options in PO in the future.

    Specifically reserved at this restaurant because of 'water view.' There was no water view to be seen or had. Nonetheless, the service by Hillary was impeccable and friendly, and the food (ribeye steak and wedge salad with steak) were superb. Indulged in the fried cheesecake dessert option and finished with this divine taste of heaven.

    We had a very delicious meal. Steaks were fabulous. Great ambiance and wonderful service. Five stars plus in my opinion. Great value too. Two whiskeys and two entrees for under $100. Wow!!! If you haven’t been there you’re missing out. We were visiting from out of town but next time we’re in town, we’ll be back.
