Fantastic food in a fantastic spot !! Enjoyed sitting on the deck on a gorgeous fall day! The waiter was very friendly and was able to answer some questions I had about the close by hikes. Went back by after our hike and bought takeout for dinner!

We reserved a table for 16.15 which upon arrival we need not have done because we were the only people in that part of the dining room. The food was very nice, not overly smoky however the meats were not very warm which was a shame. The waitress was friendly.

Love love the food, ambiance, and location! Having this restaurant by the end of the trail is such a delight after hiking a very strenuous trail, The hostess gave us a table after only a few minutes of waiting (there is a comfy chair for my husband to sit while waiting). We ordered the platter. It was more than we can devour. It is a lot (even for us two very hungry hikers that completed the loop pass the 5th bridge of the Maligne canyon). Overall, we enjoyed the experience and this place is highly recommended. Totally a 5 star!

Have visited a number of times before, staff are always amazing, food is good, and you can’t beat the view if you are lucky enough to sit on the patio. Tried the salad this time, didn’t find the flavours to work great together.

WORST FOOD! We thought this was going to be a chef created and food inspired restaurant but we’re sorely wrong. While the location and ambiance of this restaurant is five star, everything else is one star at best. The server did not let us know any information about the menu or specials. We had to ask for daily features and prices and for anything else we needed. Nothing was ever offered. Drinks often went empty and suggestions were not made for the food which might have saved the experience. The food here is some of the worst I’ve had from a dining establishment in some time. I wish I had taken a picture of my salad. It was a browning head of romaine cut in half with four grapes and four pieces of apple with little to no dressing for $19. And I am not exaggerating the scarcity of toppings. We all had a good laugh about it. I would have sent it back but we didn’t see our server for 20 minutes after he dropped off food. Another guest got the sliders and they come as meat on a bun with no toppings. No sauce, no vegetables. It’s like ordering a burger off a kids menu. They didn’t even bring ketchup or sauce for fries. Everything was under flavoured and over priced. It was $200 for 4 people not drinking and we all left hungry. …Until we left this restaurant and went downtown Jasper to Evil Dave’s and got some real food!!!!What a difference! Highly recommend that place! Skip the wilderness kitchen, the only thing wild about it is the prices and terrible food.

I dined outside on the patio and was hoping for a table alongside the water. Tables for larger groups are along the water front. I was going to be seated at a small metal table next to the building. I ended up sitting in an Adirondack chair and ate with the plate on my lap but at least it was with a view. Food and drinks and especially the service made up for not having a table for one overlooking the water.

I ordered the "The Wilderness Platter" for $72. The brisket and pork ribs were undercooked and a bit tough. The chicken thighs were dry. The smoked baked beans were not smoky. The crispy mushroom appetizer was pretty good, though! Overall, I think they need to get better at smoking their meats to the right temperature and doneness.

A scenic setting right next to the canyon. Negative is the parking lot, it was a mess when we were there with people trying to find parking for the trailhead. Drove around for 15 minutes hoping to snag a spot then ended up on the road. I enjoyed the burger, my husband ordered the brisket sandwich but was disappointed- too much bread and not enough brisket he said.

Excellent food in a beautiful setting. Perfect after wandering through the canyon. The mushroom appetizer is one of the best things we have ever had. As was the brisket poutine. Free refills on ice tea was an unexpected treat! The servers are cheerful and take great care of guests.

Sat down at a table that had food ALL over the floor, and not just a little bit but a lot, and the table itself hadn't been cleaned. Looked at menu prices. And walked right out. No way I'm paying $20 for a glass of wine while dining in someone else's filth. Place is so dirty

Lunch after Johnston Canyon. Very crowded good thing we made a reservation as otherwise wait would be very long. Nice outdoor seating with a canyon view. Had a few bbq sandwiches. Meat was nicely done with good bark. Seemed like too much bread. Though very crowded server was friendly and efficient.

Tables seated after us got service before we did. They got their starters before we ordered and it kept going. Our food got sent to the wrong table and had to be re made. The food was barely warm when it finally got to us. They gave us a discount but we will not be back.

Very good food. However portion size was very small for price. 3 fatty brisket slices on sandwich. Hardly ANY meat. Salad had about 2oz salmon on it. Everyone left hungry.

We enjoyed dinner at the Wilderness Kitchen. The prices were fair, and the food was very good. We were seated outside with lovely views. Food came out in a timely manner and the staff was accommodating.

Ordered a salad and the BBQ platter to share amongst our family of 4 - 2 adjusts and 2 small kids. It was more than enough food. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed the river. Table was ready promptly at reservation time.

Great drinks, good service, the food was pretty and original but not super tasty or filling. We ate outside which was a very lovely setting by the canyon. We were rushed to finish at the end of our meal - perhaps they shouldn’t accept reservations so close to the kitchen closing.

We had the sandwiches, which had generous portion of meat, and were very good. The sides we ordered were all cold, so much that we just had to send it back. The beans were bland and the poutine had a bland gravy and 4 pea sized cheese balls.
