   We had Mother’s Day brunch and enjoyed it. The food was tasty. We had French Toast with a crunchy corn flake coating, Eggs Benedict, and Shrimp and Grits. All very good. The service was friendly, but a bit slow on a busy holiday. When the place is full, the noise level gets to a point where it is difficult to hear the conversation at your own table.

   The food is amazing and for a casual neighborhood restaurant, it’s very much appreciated. Friendly staff and always willing to give good recommendations. Great for date night or a night out with family.

   We took my 84 year old mother here for Mother's Day. The hostess was very accommodating when she saw my mother's mobility issues and gave us a very nice table. Our waitress was also very attentive without hovering. The food was decent for the price.

   I was disappointed that the advertised "buffet" was NOT. I wanted to try a couple of items on their "buffet list" but I could only order 1 entree and receive 1 glass of Mimosa without incurring extra charges. The quiche was indeed; delicious and the service exceptional with a very friendly waiter! I was also disappointed in the noise level in the Bloomington Mallards. I wonder if it is the same at other locations.

    Had the fish tacos which were very good. Had to ask server which kind of fish used ( walleye) since its not indicated on the menu. Only thing I didnt like was it is served on a well used wooden platter which made me wonder how it can be food grade clean. Friend had lobster bisque and 1/2 turkey club which she loved. Minor issue- She requested a dill pickle ( which turned out to be a sweet pickle) with her sandwich. And it was ordered correctly by our very attentive and friendly server Abby.

    My daughter and I met for Sunday brunch at Mallards in Bloomington. I had the shrimo and grits and she had breakfast burrito. We were seat3d promotly and our server was attentive. I love yheir shrimp and grits, especially the onion jam on top. I was slightly disappointed that the shrimp was not as blackened as I had hoped, but overall very good, and a good value for the price. My daughter's breakfast burrito was fresh and flavorful. Too much going the rest of the day, otherwise we would have loved tto add on a Bloody Mary!

    My friend and I both had the fish and chips, and key lime pie. All were excellent. The service was excellent as well. The ambience was somewhat lacking, only because we were the only customers there at 5:00, probably due to the weather. We particularly liked the dinner menu, with all its choices.

    The flavors were good. The shrimp and grits were Minnesota spicy. The server warned my wife the bowl for her food was hot. It was but the food wasn’t. We will go back.

    We brought some friends that had never been there before and they really liked the food as well. One had shrimp and grits and the other had steak alfredo. The service was great, waiter was very nice. It can be a little noisy, but not unbearable. Our waiter said we were part of the clean plate club 🤣

    Had the smoked salmon/egg breakfast platter (Dill cream, egg, capers, onions, crackers served on weekends). It's served in the manner of a charcuterie board. The eggs are hard boiled and the capers are green. The salmon looked seared but the fish was very good. The crackers are round and large and served well as a platform for a mixture of fish, capers, diced onion and dill cream. I savored every bite. I also savored the service. The kid's meals came out first (a big advantage and the others soon followed. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Another big deal for me -they had decaf coffee at the ready. they serve both breakfast and the regular lunch menu on weekends.

    Beautiful windows and open atmosphere. Fish and chips were delicious and nice filets! Lobster roll delicious! The only one star issue was key lime pie was not to my liking. All in all I'm going back for more!

    We had a nice time at Mallard’s and the food was great. The walleye was very good as was the friend shrimp. Light and crispy batter friend perfectly. Our server was awesome—-she quickly saw that I didn’t get what I ordered and fixed it without any request from me. That’s a good server!!

    Came with 3 friends for lunch; none of us had been there before. We all enjoyed our meals. Three of us had the chicken salad sadwich on the wild rice/cranberry bread - one with salad, one with lobster bisque. We all enjoyed it very much; one is generally a pretty fussy eater! Fourth guest had lobster bisque and salad.Server was attentive and very pleasant. Will go back.

    Had the cannelloni. New on the menu. It was extremely spicy which wasn’t indicated. The plate was hot but the inside of the cannelloni was Luke warm. Hard to decipher the seafood at all was just a soupy sauce nothing substantial.

    Service was slow for the number of people in the restaurant. I ordered the Caesar Salmon salad, which was very good, nice portion of salmon. 3 people ordered the chicken tenders, one person rec'd about 1/2 of what the others rec'd for their fries order. Our server was good, but couldn't understand why our order took so long.

    First time at Mallards and we really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, very reasonable and good portions. We had the Korean meatball and corn fritter appetizers-both yummy and the shrimp boil for 2. Huge amount of food, some good spice. All in all a lovely night out!

    Our server was very personable. She seemed to have too much to do. My steak was delicious. My shrimp order was incorrect and we were brought our check without being offered dessert or after dinner drinks. Also the restroom was very much in need of cleaning.

    First time eating here. We were seated promptly and service was attentive, despite being busier than normal. Food was exceptional, especially the pecan crusted walleye. Deserts were good though clearly mass produced. Plan to go again.
