   Malone’s was recommended by good friends who live in Louisville, Kentucky and the recommendation did not disappoint!! The waiter was top notch and took good care of us!!    We have been going to Malone’s for years. And the last few times have been just ok. But tonight the food was exceptionally good. I don’t think our steaks have tasted any better than they did tonight. Cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Our server was very attentive and did an amazing job. Great dinner.

   We travel to Lexington at least once a month from Huntington WV. Our favorite restaurant to visit is always Malone’s. We take our experience back home and share with our friends each time. We now have friends who make Lexington and Malone’s their dinner getaway. You can’t say enough about the food. It is always prepared perfectly. Ordering from the bar offers great cold adult beverages. And the wait staff is top notch. During these times, it’s not always easy to find customer service personnel who are outgoing and understanding of their customer. Malone’s has found the perfect mix of ladies and gentlemen to fit their clientele. Thank you Malone’s for making our anniversary dinner the best.

    If you want a steak this is the place. My partner and I love getting the steak and shrimp! The steak just melts in your mouth. Malones is the place that we always go for birthdays and anniversaries.

    Our waitress Emily was a delight and the food was incredible! We were told Malone’s had the best steak in Kentucky. They were right! We mentioned it was our anniversary and they gifted us with dessert. The whole evening was wonderful and we’ll be back I’d we’re in the area again.

    The food was very good. Steak was cooked to order and was reasonably priced for how good it was. Sides were also very good. Service was a different story. The waitress was very nice but not very attentive. Issues getting our drinks and refills in a timely manner which is a big pet peeve of mine when I go out to eat!

    The waitress was absent, but she had a lot of of other people helping her out. I hope they get part of her tip, because she didn't deserve it. Her back up help were very effecient without being intrusive. The food however, was mediocre and extremely overpriced for the lack of quality.

    The food was fine... fine for a low-to-mid tier steak house, but by no means is this a high-end steakhouse like Tony's or Jeff Ruby's. My Old Fashioned had small chips of ice you'd find in a kid's ice tea and had a maraschino cherry (not bing black cherry) and was weak. My wife's margarita was no better, served in a tall glass full of mixer. Then they brought the steaks at the same time they delivered the salad. We didn't have room on the table for it all, not to mention this type of pacing of a meal is totally unacceptable... we had to send the meals back and tell them we needed 10 minutes to eat the salad before they should deliver the steaks. Should we really have to tell them how to pace the delivery of a steak dinner? The server was good enough to have new meals prepared, which was very nice. They did not comp anything, which is a common form of restaurant apology, but whatever. The ambiance was like a Chilis with tables of high school girls out with friends, and other tables with people who looked like they just finished cleaning the garage. All in all a decent meal but not a place to go if you want a special occasion or a bit of sophistication.

    We had a Filet and the pork chop. Both were fantastic. Filet was perfectly prepared medium rare. Had sushi before. It was average. Started with an Old Fashioned, i would think a steakhouse would have better cocktails. That was really the only part of the meal that didnt live up to expectations.

    Food is always great as is service. We were celebrating Mother’s Day’ and our wedding anniversary ( which happened to be on the same day ). Good portions, and food is very high quality. I feel it is such a nice place with decor and atmosphere. We treat it as a special place for special occasions. I wish there was a way they could strongly encourage people to dress up some. I hate to see people walk-in there like they are going to a fast food place, an amusement park or a outdoor sporting event. Show some class people. Tank tops, Daisy Dukes, dirty t-shirts and flip flops are so uncivilized looking. Dress like you care when eating at an expensive dining facility. This isn’t McDonald’s. Act like you have some class.

    Service was very good. Salmon Piccata was great with fresh pasta. The filet mignon was ordered as medium but came as med rear. They were quick to fix the order and bring back with fresh baked potato. A bit noisy due to Mother’s Day crowd. We enjoyed our dinner and recommend the place.

    We visit Malone’s 10 plus times a year and always have a great experience. We choose Malone’s because we always receive great service and the quality of food is second to none. However, last night was a downer experience. My son ordered the Kobe Medium Well (It came Medium Rare). I told the waiter but my son insisted not to worry about it and was told by the waiter (who was a great waiter by the way) that he could have a free dessert of he choosing. That made him happier, but I was still disappointed that I had to pay almost $30 for a half ate burger. The other down side was that I ventured out and away from my comfort zone of the twin filet meal and ordered the prime rib special. It arrived at my table cold and was very hard to eat. I was so hungry though (it was beyond 7:30) that I ate it anyway without complaint. It was just a blah experience for us there last night which rarely happens and I’m sure it’ll probably will be the last. I just wanted to bring it to your attention. That prime rib should never come to the table cold and that is an easy problem to prevent. And don’t worry, we will definitely be back.

    It was one of the best meals I ever had in a long time! Service was outstanding. I ordered the 4 oz. Filet with blackened Shrimp. It was to die for. Steak was cooked to perfection and I used a butter knife to cut it. The sauce from the shrimp was sooo good. Everything was great: the bread, the Lexingtonian bottomless salad, the side of sweet potatoes, my wine! I highly recommend the sweet potato side dish. It had cornflakes on top and sweet pecans underneath. It was the best sweet potatoes I ever had. I love this restaurant! I can not wait to come back.

    Ordered steak (sirloin center cut) medium well and steak arrived rare and sitting in a red pool on the plate. Then waited over 25 min for replacement. Manager was apologetic but overall experience was very disappointing considering how excellent food and service has been in the past.

    It’s worth the money even tho it’s expensive because of how good the food is. It’s outstanding. Can’t afford to go every weekend but it’s good to go for birthdays and anniversary and celebrations of all sorts.
