   My medium rare top sirloin was cooked perfectly with a great char on the outside and my loaded baked potato was almost a meal in itself. My wife's filet was also cooked perfectly and we both love the house salad. A solid 5 out of 5.

   My wife and I traveled from the Bardstown KY as this is our favorite location. The staff are always welcoming and the food is prepared perfectly. This evening we celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful evening. We both had the Michael Anthony which was properly prepared. I had the large baked potato as a side and she enjoyed a side of spinach su gratin. For a appetizer we enjoyed the Lex Roll Sushi which honestly rivaled any Japanese Restaurant. We honestly overindulged on the Lexingtonian salad and the delicious bread which means leftovers and sadly no room for dessert. Highly recommend Malone’s Palomar.

   Steak was a little drier than we normally get at Malones. It was a smaller size of filet, so that may have contributed to it. The flavor was still good and all the other items we ordered were delicious as well. We had the filet / shrimp combo and the filet/ crab Rangoon combo. Our server was a sweet as can be and took great care of us.

    Austin Yates provided a heck of service and made sure we was content with all of our questions and concerns! He was really down to earth and provided recommendations for lunch! He was one of a kind I’ll be coming back for sure!

    When our food was brought to the table, our son's food was omitted, and they brought our daughter the wrong food. By the time our children's food arrived, my husband and I had finished our meals. My husband had ordered the prime rib special, and it was dry and overcooked. We were offered free desserts for the trouble we had experienced. We waited for our desserts for quite a while, only to be told that the dessert that my son and I ordered was sold out. Not Malone's finest hour.

    Service was much slower than normal. It was Derby, graduation and prom for some so I will chalk it up to that although I do think our waiter could have been more attentive. Also, for the first time EVER I had to send my steak back as I asked for it to be cooked Medium and it was more like rare or medium rare. Overall I wasn’t pleased with this dining but everyone has bad days every now and then.

    We had reservations for 6 after my granddaughter’s graduation at UK. We called because we were going to be an hour late . The exceptional staff accommodated us and had our table ready. Malones was ready for the crowd! Amazing service, cocktails and food. Our waiter made us feel valued and special, he brought our a creme brûlée with a candle for my GD ! Totally unexpected! Thank you for a wonderful celebration! Ohhh and the crab cakes are to die for!

    It had been a while since eating at Malone’s and our group was very excited to have dinner there to celebrate our daughter’s receiving her doctorate. We had reservations for 6:30 and we got there five minutes early and they ushered us right to our table. Our waitress was outstanding and the food was over the top ! One of the best ribeyes I have ever eaten. Spinach and artichoke dip and the calamari were great appetizers. Can’t wait to go back when we visit Lexington again.

    I can’t figure out why Malones at Tates Creek can fix the perfect steak every time and Malones @ Palamar cannot. The last two times I have been to the Palomar location I have asked for a grass fed filet, medium rare, and both times it was well done. I think the server last night was well aware of it because he set it down and ran from the table without even having eye contact. Last night, I even asked for the rare side of medium rare based on my previous experience, and it was just as overcooked. Oddly enough, nobody came by and asked how our meal was, which is also another indication that they probably knew. It was very busy, very loud, and the service was not nearly as good as it usually is. I know in this day and age it’s tough to have enough staff for any business, but this is not a good reflection on Malones.

    I’d give Maloney a negative star if available. We were in town from out of state & told to visit this restaurant at this location. Beyond disappointed. The serving size was minimal which turned out to be just fine because the food was terrible. The service was unpolished & unprofessional. 2 glasses were chipped on the rim (absolutely no compensation). Huge disappointment all around. When the bill came, the terrible experience was topped off- overpriced.

    Our waiter was very good but the service was bad. It took a long time to get drinks and food, likely due to shortage of help. Our waiter was very apologetic but there wasn’t anything he could do about it.

    Very busy and loud. Service was slow, cocktail not great and very weak. Prime rib was a bit disappointing, heavily herbed, consistency of meat not up to standard and all food pricy. Salads are really good. Not sure I would go back again.

    We were given the house salad that should have been tossed out yesterday! Sides had to be returned to kitchen due to rancid smell. We ordered prime rib,..then were told they ran out an hour ago! Finally the noise level was loud as hell! Expect to scream across the table for conversation. Stick with Golden Corral; it will be a much better experience!!

    We had not been to the Palomar location for a while. Immediately noticed the renovation. The increased seating capacity and the acoustics made it the loudest dining experience we have ever had. It was miserable. I ordered the center cut sirloin medium rare. It was so chewy I had to spit it out. The server immediately noticed the struggle and replaced it with a filet and the offer to pay for my dinner. The medium rare filet was brought out rare and it too was very tough and had no flavor at all. The broccoli side was sitting in water. The salad was good. We gave 2 stars only to recognize the service. Our server, Diane, was so good. She is 5-star. We won’t be back and definitely won’t recommend.
