Mama Lisa Restaurant was founded in 1999 by Gaetano and Mose Costigliola. Their father, Carlo Costigliola, was the owner of Umberto’s, a successful Italian restaurant in Patchogue for over fifteen years. with family style recipes that were originated in Italy and passed down through the family, Mama Lisa has developed a tremendous and loyal customer base from early on.

At Mama Lisa, we believe in supporting our local community, economy, and fellow merchants. As such, we purchase all of our bread, seafood, and fresh vegetables from fellow businesses in Mastic. The added benefit, of course, is that you as our customer always get the freshest ingredients prepared in every meal.

Mama Lisa has been a proud sponsor to many local sports teams and charitable events and supports our local schools, and emergency personnel.

The food and the service were 5 star. I had the chicken rolatini which was served in a Marsala sauce. The portion was huge and it was the best Marsala sauce I’ve had to this point. The slices of mushrooms were huge and plentiful. Dessert was the homemade tiramisu, heavenly.

My friend and I really enjoyed our dinner here. We started with a couple of glasses of wine and then we shared the calamari which were great. I had the chicken piccata and my friend had the penne a la vodka. Both were terrific and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. Sam was our server and she was very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Saturday night. Noisy. Their food was the main attraction. The food was excellent (except the calamari- a bit tough!) The waitress was overwhelmed with work and we we had to wait a long time to get dinner served.

This truly was an amazing experience. We drive about 1/2 hour away because we knew the restaurant had gluten free options. I’m gluten free and b my husband is not. From the manager checking on us all through the meal to the Ajax Omg waitress and customer service this is hands down the best restaurant we have been to in years. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere and staff beyond awesome. We stopped eating out weekly after the pandemic because we felt good and customer service declined. This reinstated our desire to eat out again. I can’t say enough how amazing this restaurant is and we will definitely be regulars. .

We were there with a party of six were seated right away due to our reservation our waiter was very efficient and attentive to all our needs. The owner came by several times to make sure everything was satisfactory. I would highly recommend this restaurant and the food was excellent very large portions.

The service and food was outstanding!! Every time we dine each and every server is fantastic! Nothing is ever a problem. The food is always fast and delicious!! We are still impressed with the quality of the food and absolutely appreciate the great service!!

I’ve never had a bad meal here. The Veal Franchise is one of my favorite dishes and their rolls are so good! Staff is also extremely friendly and attentive. One of my favorite Italian restaurants.

Mama Lisa’s While I was waiting for my food to arrive I was thinking I don’t wanna just say the same thing again regarding my visit to a new restaurant. But after my experience, it would be impossible to say it wasn’t an excellent experience!!! SO MANY gluten free choices, I was in Heaven! It seems every Sunday there is like restaurant week too, With a three course meal, under $25! They even had warm gluten-free bread brought to the table! Usually when everyone’s having bread, I just sit there lol but this was different. The salad was really nice with marinated veggies in it. The chicken franchaise and pasta franchaise was out of this world. Amazing! I topped it off with good coffee and excellent chocolate ice cream. I was only able to eat half of everything so I actually got two meals for that price! My husband loves his personal pizza also. (Not GF) It looked amazing! He chose fresh garlic and mushrooms for toppings. Service was excellent too!

Have been here many Times the food is consistently good and always have a good time. Service was a little slow but did not affect the presentation of the meal nor the flavor. Dishes arrived hot and fresh. Always a good place to take family and friends.

Yum! The food and service were excellent! They are also great with Gluten Free. We had chicken picatta and scallop/ shrimp special. GF almond horn for dessert. They also serve GF roll that’s made on-site. Everything was fresh, tasty. Definitely going back, highly recommend it for lunch or dinner or takeout.

The food and the service is always above and beyond. The portions are very generous as well. Our server was present and attentive and so pleasant! Our table was visited by management to check on us and as usual we can’t wait to go back!
