The most unfortunate part is that they didn’t receive our reservation through open table. We showed up at 6:20 for a 6:30 reservation (we have a baby at home so had to be home earlier) and they didn’t have our reservation! It was for a special anniversary and they said we couldn’t get seated until 8:30 pm without a reservation. She ignored the fact that I showed her my open table reservation confirmation. She offered us bar seating and we took it bc we didn’t want to have to reschedule the babysitter but my husband was NOT happy… especially bc there were available tables everywhere. The food was pretty good, but not as good as the first couple years we went. Overall we were a little bummed with the whole experience.

Quality of food prepared/cooked was not in line with prices. This Mancy's needs a good chef. I ate here a few years ago and quality was so much better. Very disappointed with the food and value. I took my sisters out for a birthday celebration and had no issue with the prices proposed--but the food delivered was not in line with the prices. Salad upcharge for a caesar salad was ridiculous as the salad was small and overdressed! The soup my sister ordered instead of salad was not even the size of a regular cup of soup. I had never seen such a small vessel for soup. My other sister said her ranch dressing was mayonnaise and lacked any taste. Our steaks were all ordered medium rare and all came medium. Filets were grass fed steaks and had a strange taste. Hand cut fries were way over salted and I like salt! And they were not cooked to a crispy exterior. We were all hungry and did eat our meals, didn't give the attendant a hard time about quality, but agreed we wouldn't be compelled to come back for an ok meal for higher prices. Management needs to evaluate quality of preparation and get a qualified chef!

Beautiful and quiet atmosphere. Our waitress was wonderful, and the steaks were great! It is a higher class restaurant, so we dressed nice-business casual is their policy, though we saw people in jeans. Not an every weekend eatery-unless you are wealthy-but a wonderful place for special occasions.

Took some out of town clients and they were impressed. Excellent steak , sides, and a great cocktail and wine list. They look forward to visiting Findlay and Mancy's often on return business.

Major miss from what it used to be. Service and quality has continued to go downwards. Update since visiting sent private message below to Manager and no response. 10/21/2023 Been dinning here for awhile but keeps slowly going downhill. They are only seating less than half the restaurant, looks more like twenty five percent, but when they seat you the always want to put you right next to another group. The tables are so close you can hear everything they say and eat off their plates. This has happened the last three visits and last night tried the same so we opted for a table in the bar instead. Sat down ordered a drink and dinner and no water was brought to the table. When I asked the waitress brought one glass back apparently for my wife and I to share so had to ask for another. Salad is no longer included with an entree nor was bread brought to the table. We assumed they did away with this as well but shortly noticed others were getting it so we asked for that. I had the pork chop which is normally excellent but last night it was very dry and the maple glaze was cooked dry and it flaked off. I ordered my baked potato with butter only it came out with sour cream so I scrapped it off and asked for butter but she did instead bring a whole new one. We ordered a second drink and again the waitress only brought my wife’s and when she delivered it asked if I wanted another drink? I replied I already ordered one…. Overall very poor experience from what it used to be.

Mancy's is N.W. Ohio's best steak house. Having the restaurant in the Hancock is a positive for both the hotel and the restaurant. Great way to enhance your stay in Findlay.

Both meals were great except for the wilted greens. Way too salty. We were seated on one of the two tables that basically face the kitchen, not great. If you turned the tables 45 degrees you wouldn't have to look directly into the kitchen & prep area.

I have had meals at Mancy's many times and had great experiences. This time I was taking my husband for his first visit to celebrate his birthday. We were a bit early for our reserved time and was asked to wait until the exact time (though the table we sat at was available for that time we waited). It wasn't very welcoming. We sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited, and even that service was very slow, despite their being only three of us at the bar (and the other guy already had his drink). After being seated, we waited 20 minutes before a waitress even came to our table and then another 10 minutes just to get a drink. Finally, the manager took over our table and at least comped us for our appetizer. The original waitress never came back to our table or made eye contact. The food was disappointing compared to what I've experienced before, but the service was just terrible. There was one point when I suggested to my husband that we leave and go to a local restaurant, The Bistro, that we both love. He wanted to stay and give them a chance. After watching other tables, we saw that most tables were not receiving very good service. Even the table beside us that had a big-money-big-name couple from town. The tip I left reflected the poor service. It was so disappointing and I don't see that we will be back to Mancy's anytime soon! Very disappointing!!!

My husband and I chose to dine at Mancy's Steaks for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was wonderful, the service outstanding, and the food was delicious. Our wonderful server knew it was our anniversary and brought out a beautiful cake for us, on the house. We love dining here and will be back again.

I ordered a Filet Mignon “medium-well”, as I have done at steakhouses for decades. My steak came out ultra-well done, very tough and dry. The chef killed the steak. Mancy’s was also out of baked potatoes, which should be a staple for a steakhouse. Finally, the prices were high, commensurate with a high end steakhouse, but the food quality was definitely not high end.

For a fine dining restaurant the servers should know how to clear dishes from the tables that have left. We enjoyed our anniversary surrounded by dirty tables the entire meal.

I made my anniversary dinner reservation on open table. When we arrived, the hostess did not show we had a reservation. She simple walked away. We stood there and then a manager came out. Asked us to go get a drink so they could work things out. Once we got our table, our server was fantastic. The food tasted ok, but an hour after we left, my husband became Ill.

This is are 2nd visit since January… my steak was over done and potato’s were cold. They redid the steak, potato’s were on the cold side and the steak was a slight under done. I are both the steak and potato’s on the 2nd try

My family liked the addition of soup and salad with entrees. The food was superb. Service was on point. The cocktails were good but pricey but we honestly are not a family that usually partakes while enjoying a meal out at a restaurant.

We had reservations & were immediately seated by a courteous server. Our waiter was professional and helped us as we ordered. Our filet mignons were prepared as ordered and our Bordeaux selection complemented the dinner perfectly. Crème Brûlée dessert ended a wonderful fine dinner. Great dinner & wine selections. Enjoy!

Went to the Mother’s Day brunch here on 5/14. Very disappointing experience, which I’ll try to sum up: 1) brunch was served not in the steak house but in a random room at the hotel. Maybe this is normal, but this really ruined the experience for us from the start. Wanted to take my mother somewhere nice, but it felt like a hotel brunch and not like we were at Mancys — you don’t even walk through Mancys; 2) the menu was underwhelming — not enough options. Most of the food was fine, but the desserts were bad, although the salad bar and pork were good. All in all, just not a great experience and certainly not fine dining; 3) the cost was not worth sitting in a huge open room when you add in the subpar menu. I’m still giving three stars because the service was good — our server was kind and the carving station staff were helpful! Again the biggest issue is that this didn’t feel like an event associated with Mancy’s but rather a large scale hotel brunch.
