Since 1999, Mandile’s Italian Restaurant Banquets & Catering has created sights, sounds, smells and the tastes of Italy by offering our guests true authentic Italian cuisine. The Love Mandile’s has for food began in a small town of Calabria’s Italy. Family and friends would sit at communal tables and were given a carafe of wine and a plate of whatever mom and grandma were cooking that day. At Mandile’s Italian Restaurant ~ Algonquin we bring you the same wonderful experiences we grew with. In our restaurant’s gracious setting, a bounty of the freshest ingredients is transformed into an Italian feast. Dishes enjoyed for generations in villages throughout Italy inspire our menu, giving us authentic flare. Our dinner menu includes traditional, yet new and innovative appetizers, soups, salads, pizzas, house made pastas, entrees and made from scratch desserts.

Very nice ambiance, cozy & romantic. Service was a little slow at the end. Salmon dish with risotto & calamari was good but had too much going on. The homemade cheese ravioli was outstanding. The tiramisu was the BEST I have ever had!

I am sorry just not really impressed this time. I have gone there a few times and the service and food were excellent. This time the bread was hard and the food just was not as good. I think maybe because we came later on a Sunday evening and there was only a few people there.

3 of us had different specials of the day & they were all fantastic! We've been here several times and the food does not disappoint! We even had them cater a graduation party and they were phenomenal!

Had dinner here on a Saturday night. Sat outside, it was a beautiful night to sit on the covered veranda. Food was good overall. The bread and oil serving was very good, the mixture of olive oil, balsamic, garlic and red pepper flakes was just right. Chicken Parmigiana was exactly as expected. The special, chicken cacciatore, was just ok, a little dry according to the wife. Calamari appetizer was good, slightly overcooked, but enjoyable. The tiramisu was also very good. Service was acceptable. The overall experience was helped greatly by "Mom". She was wonderful and made us feel like old friends. As we were leaving, live music was setting up. I believe this is only on Saturday night, so if you go then be aware if may be loud inside the restaurant. Would recommend overall, we had a very good time.

The food was incredible and we hit it right to get to experience some great entertainment! If only our server was more state Tati etc it would have been a perfect night. No worries... we'll be back.

First time at restaurant, Food was excellent, Italian waiter was very attentive and nice but lost points for the extremely slow turnaround in bringing items to table. Our reservation was for 6:45 and we didn't leave until 9:15 and that was after not ordering dessert because he didn't come back for 20 minutes after bringing menu. It was a Saturday but there were some open tables and no line waiting for a table.

We went for the Mother's Day brunch buffet and had an okay meal. The food was good, but the service and atmosphere left much to be desired. It seemed like they didn't have enough trained staff for the day and were underprepared for the rush of staggered brunch seatings. It was very warm in the dining area so we sat outside- which was great since it was such a nice day. If the service was better, I'd say we'd be back. I hope their dinner service has more experienced employees.

The restaurant was noisy. There seemed to be some sort of party in a private room, which unfortunately was not sufficiently private. The music was loud enough to interfere with conversation at our table. The food was mediocre. The price to value relationship was not such that I would ever go there again. I generally avoid Macaroni Grill, but must say the last time I ate at a Macaroni Grill (in airport) the food was better, the prices lower, and the noise level more acceptable than my recent visit to Mandille.

We have been here before, and this time everything was wonderful, as usual. The fettucini alfredo was excellent. The risotto special with asparagus and zucchini and pesto was marvelous. Bread pudding and cheesecake were generously-sized portions and also delicious. The service was impeccable, from the time we walked in the door until we left.

The noise level was so high at this place that you actually have to shout at the person sitting across from you. I understand background ambiance music but this was ridiculous. Food was terrible for the price. Totally avoid this place.

Food was pretty good. A little pricey for what you get. Server was very sweet but really inexperienced. We had to ask for everything, refills, napkins, she forgot our soup etc.. The atmosphere was pretty authentic and a really good wine selection. I willprobably go once more and see if it gets better.

After excellent service and food, the wheels fell off when we ordered after dinner drinks and dessert. Twenty minutes passed to get the drinks, then another 15 before my half filled cannoli showed up. We persevered, finished our meal and put our credit card down to pay the check. Took over 30 minutes to run the check. So our excellent meal cost us another 60-70 minutes with nothing happening. While our waitress was very apologetic, no contact from management. What was a very enjoyable evening ended stressful and disappointing.

The restaurant was decorated very good, really made me feel like I was in little Italy! The food is nothing less that perfect it was cooked just right and very delicious, one thing is that it is kind of dark when we went but I'm sure that can be fixed letting the waiter know, they need to have a little more of a drink menus but non the less the cocktails were delicious! Will come back

First time and LAST we will be going here. Had a reservation on Valentine's Day, arrived on time and was seated promptly, and that was about the last time we saw a waiter. We were brought water by the hostess, and then a very manic older waiter, who acted like he was VERY busy when there were still empty tables, came to get our drink order. I ordered an iced tea...45 min. went by, and not only did I never receive it, but our food order was never taken. We left and went to a better restaurant. What a horrible start to Valentine's Day.

Got seated right away but no server came to our table for 10 min. The calamari was.overcooked. My husbands pasta was undercooked. Not good at refilling drinks. Very disappointed. Tables too close together.

We went for Valentine's Day and I was surprised to see tables open. Word must not be out yet that this is a good place. Romantic singer in the bar was a nice added touch. Food was fantastic, although a slight bit slow on the service.

All 3 of us (adults) absolutely loved our choices, and we tasted eachother's. It was our second time there in a few months, and we are looking forward to our next dining experience there. We spoke with the wonderful owners. We recommend Mandile's to you and yours.

While the food was excellent the service was equally poor. It took an hour just to get the salad and the main dish was 30 minutes after that. The waiter rarely stopped to check on us. A couple seated near us had it even worse, he was served before his wife and was through eating before her dinner arrived. When he complained to what appeared to be either the owner or manager it seemed to fall on deaf ears. It will be some time before we will think about returning.

We went there to celebrate our son's birthday. The staff was very accommodating for our party of nine. The food was outstanding. We had a great time. Felt like home.
