   A poor experience. We arrived were ignored, they forgot our starter completely bringing the main after 40 mins.. a meal that had clearly been microwaved and then they had the audacity to charge a service charge..

   The service and premises were very poor, the staff were scruffy and appeared to have no idea what they were doing. The downstairs of the restaurant was filthy and desperately in need of renovation. The toilets were dirty. The icing on the cake was finding out after they had a food hygiene rating of two....can't imagine why they don't want to display this in the window! And unbelievably they added a service charge onto our bill.

    During a very busy time in Bath because of the Christmas market, this place was a little bit of calm, The customer service at MANTRA was exceptional talking through the dishes and even given exceptional recommendations, do not eat here if you are in a rush because they are extremely busy which I feel speaks volumes about the food however the ambience of the restaurant was maintained, the food was served hot and delicious. A great atmosphere and a very lovely chilled evening, I will definitely be returning

    The restaurant kept us waiting for 15 minutes before seating us at our pre booked table. They then kept us waiting 25 mins before taking our order & this was only after we threatened to leave. The kitchen appeared to be more interested in their deliveroo orders than the clients in the restaurant . We won’t be returning!!!!

    Nice Indian restaurant, with lovely terrace when the weather is nice. Lots to choose from and the food is satisfying delicious. Friendly staff, who gives advice what to choose from. Vegetarian and gluten free options. Highly recommended.

    Service was good as was good. We sat outside which was lovely until a large group came in and we’re so loud we could not speak to each other, which was upsetting as it we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

    Very pleasant dining area with indoor, enclosed sunroom and outdoor seating. Creative Indian cuisine with excellent seasoning, great baked goods and basmati rice and a wide range of dishes. Good timing for multiple courses.

    The service was virtually non existent. Several tables were served before us even though they arrived much later! The food was just not the same. The lamb Rohan Josh was dry. It was mutton they had been stewed for hours. There was no sign of peppers, onions, tomatoes etc… just mush. We had to keep asking for everything - even drinks. It was really bad. We are guessing that the place has changed hands and has new parents as it was all unrecognisable from before. We won’t be going back.

    Won’t be going back any time soon. Menu has really paired back and no longer ‘progressive’. Service was poor- the restaurant was very quiet at 6pm and yet 5 waiting staff didn’t come to see if we wanted more drinks, preferring to chat at the bar. Cocktails are cheap but out of a machine. We were served the wrong starters, but staff insisted that the salmon in front of me was lamb chops, until I cut into it to prove that it was salmon! Meanwhile my pescatarian partner was served chicken. Grumpy staff reluctantly removed the service automatically added to the bill, when I said I was unhappy with service we’d received and then ignored us as we left. Poor.

    Initial impression was restaurant was closed as no one in front area and no one to greet. However food was good but the cost was £80 and we only had two beers so we both were surprised at the cost.

    Location was in the cellar of an old Georgian house. The food was outstanding and there was a varied menu. The Valentines menu was well put together. Service from the younger team members was excellent. We had a wonderful meal in a lovely setting.

    Service was below average: very slow; no knowledge of ingredients; wines not opened but just put on table; we were asked to move upstairs at 10.30 and then told to leave at 11.30 (quite rude). Food was average: poppadoms were stale; main courses tasty but average.

    The food is amazing at Mantra and ambiance usually perfect! This time we were disappointed - it was waaaay too busy and cold! The service was as good as the staff could manage! Would not stop me returning though!
