My favorite part of dining at this restaurant was the enclosed patio, and the brussel sprouts. I went during dinner hours and I felt that the menu was limited compare to lunch options. I got the shrimp skewer with Mac and cheese. I had to send the shrimp back they were chewy and just didn’t seem fresh. My sister got the lamb chops and they were tasty but the portion was so small for the price. I would come back just for an appetizer (sprouts),wine, and scenery.
This was our first experience at Chateau Elan. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. We had an amazing time at Marc Restaurant from the time we walked through the door. The staff were friendly, personable and attentive. The food was amazingly delicious, not to mention plentiful. No salt or pepper needed. Every bite was flavored. Definitely worth it.
Dinner was delicious... our server was excellent. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We sat out by the windows.
Beautiful restaurant and amazing delicious food
The good was excellent. I had the lamb chops, and they were very tender and moist. I would highly recommend that entree.
Food was not good! Service was Ok So not worth the price
We celebrated our anniversary and had a great meal, the wine was wonderful as well. The setup is very nice with the winery tasting room in the same building so we were able to bring our tasting leftovers to dinner.
Food was not bad but it wasn’t close to great. I don’t think it is worth the price
Was such a limited menu AND extremely pricey for what it was. If I am to pay $29.00 for a chicken meal, I expect it to be unique and mouthwatering.
My scallops were way too salty that I couldn’t even eat them. It’s supposed to be a top end restaurant do that was disappointing. Tables are too close together. Service was pretty good. I would not return.
Staff was very accommodating, service was very attentive, food was excellent. It’s not cheap, but definitely worth the experience for a special occasion.
We booked our reservation for the day after Valentine's day so we could order off the regular menu. Valentine's day was a 5-course set menu. To our dismay, we were informed at check-in that we would be served the set menu. All four of us were terribly disappointed. The restaurant is known for its steaks but none were offered on the set menu. The service was amazing.
Nice place and idea but poorly executed. This place at such a nice setting and hotel should be the main attraction but it’s simply not worth your time and money.
My husband and I ate here a few months ago and it was great (that’s why we went back again) but the food was terrible is time around, not sure if they have a new chef but we probably won’t be coming back.
The service and the drinks were phenomenal, but I was disappointed with the food. I've had much better for less money.
The food was amazing, and the restaurant was lovely. The only negative was that we were seated out in an enclosed patio, which had heaters but It was still very cold, which made it hard to 100% enjoy the dinner. Overall it was a good experience, we will go back again.
Nice place but a little disappointing. It's a high end restaurant....$100/person if you do drinks/meal/dessert. I just did not think the value was there. Steaks were good, but no better than a Longhorns, but 3 times the cost. We live local. I would go back and sit at bar if they had a happy hour and try it again. Far better places to eat for this amount of money.
This restaurant exceeded our expectations!! The Duck and Scallops were excellent and would’ve loved to have seconds!! Brad our server was also very professional and on point!! Will be back for next year anniversary!
Food was wonderful and wait staff was very attentive. We had a table over looking the grounds at chateau elan. Beautiful
The reason for just average on the ambience is because they sat us out in enclosed patio and it felt a little industrial and not at all warm, like inside. This was for 3 January birthdays for a party of 5, with one being my husband's 65th, which I mentioned on my reservation. I expected a little better ambiance.
Everything was delicious except for the shrimp and grits. It was runny and the grits did not look like grits. It almost looked like a scoop of mashed potatoes. Other than that, the filet mignon was cooked perfect and the chicken was delicious. Also had the Cesar Salad which was good as well except for be aware they put tons of black pepper.
Horrible experience. Entire meal ended up being comped due to waiting for 45 min for our meal.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a weekend at chateau, it did not disappoint. Marc reservations was a nice addition as well. We were greeted with complimentary champagne in celebration of our anniversary which was a nice gesture. Fast seating, nice atmosphere. The food was overall ok. The experience was definitely worth it!
My wife and I had a get a away weekend and Chateau Elan and had an awesome dinner here.
Food was delicious and service terrific.
The staff do a great job and provide good service. The food was fresh, flavorful and fabulous tasty. The sound from the wine tasting area was a little loud.
The food was delicious and service was flawless. We enjoyed our dinner and will be repeat patrons.
Xmas holiday visit. Food was very good and service was excellent!
I was disappointed in the space, not much ambiance. The shrimp were undercooked, I should have sent back. The prices were high for what you got. I asked for a to go box for the raisin bread, which was the best part and after waiting and asking 2 times to different people, just left.
Enjoyed a lunch with my mom. This restaurant was not busy, great service Thank you Rachel. Food was tasty.
Made reservations a month in advance because we were celebrating a friend's milestone birthday. I made a notation on the reservation form online to indicate that, as well. Before we were seated, I mentioned that we had a birthday to the hostess, and she said they could put a candle in a dessert for us, and I assumed that the information would be relayed to our server. We were seated on the outside "heated" patio, and it was noticeably colder at our table than inside, but it looked like there were plenty of tables available inside. (The evening temp was in the 30's). Again, this reservation was made a month ago. There was also an odd "sewer type" odor in the air, especially on the patio.
The server took our drink orders, and we asked a few questions about the menu. She didn't know what a couple of the items were that we asked about, and wasn't sure exactly how the chicken was prepared or served (bone in or boneless, but thought she had seen a bone in the chicken).
Our food took an hour to arrive at the table, and was fine, but not the level that we thought it should be for a "fine dining" establishment. In the meantime, we were never asked if we'd like additional drinks or glasses of wine after our first round, and were never offered bread, even though other tables were served it. We finally asked about bread, and our server said that she kept trying to get some to bring to us, but other servers kept taking it. When she finally did bring it, it was cold.
Our friend, who was celebrating the birthday, was never offered or brought dessert, let alone a candle in it. Overall, a very disappointing experience for what we expected for a celebratory dinner and night out at a "world renowned" resort and winery.
This was a business dinner with 6 people and we waited over an hour for food. The printer broke down and our order was not placed. There was no offer of a complimentary appetizer or something to make this experience better. Food was good but service overall was disappointing. Love Chateau Elan overall but expensive.
Upon arrival there was a terrible smell permeating the entire building. We were told it was a "burp" from the wine cellar below. It smelled just like raw sewage. We were seated at our table pretty quickly then left alone for a while. There were other tables that came after us that were given menus, drinks and bread all while we watched. It continued this way throughout our entire dinner. We had to ask for water and drinks multiple times. The food was adequate but the service was terrible. We asked for sauce for our steaks that we never received. This will be our last visit.
Special team event dinner
First impression upon entering was we stood around for 10 minutes at least looking for someone to seat us or greet us and I had a reservation
After seating the service was decent but the waitress informed us that 2 of the main entrees were not available after ordering instead of before
We ordered a bottle of wine and I ordered it and she opened on the other side of table and asked who should taste it ... just not properly trained for a nice restaurant ... then she proceeded to pour into my glass which again ... she should have served my guests first
Other than that ... food was phenomenal and we enjoyed our evening
We would have liked valet since parking is quite far and it was cold
Nice place to have a great lunch and enjoy your party's company. The service staff were fabulous.
Great service delicious food
Empty restaurant and they sat us in empty cold concrete patio near exit door
The remodeled Marc seating is great. Still needs some work on after dark views of the grapevines. Food and service have improved 100% since opening. They have some top shelf wines by the bottle though still only Chateau Elan selection by the glass. While structured to accommodate the captive hotel guests, it is worth the drive for Atlanta locals
The restaurant was clean and beautiful, and the servers was very friendly. The food wasn’t anything spectacular and it was a bit overpriced. However, it was a pleasant evening to a great weekend!
Great food and ambiance. The service was outstanding and the food tasted great. Will definitely come again in the future.
