   Wow. From walking in until we walked out, everything was flawless. We had several attentive servers and we have a night to remember. The porterhouse was the best cut of meat I’ve tasted and the pommes aligot were decadent. Excellent martinis, thoughtful wine list, and a chocolate layer cake straight from heaven. This place is worth every penny.

   Thought we would really like Marcel but we were disappointed. Martinis were watery so when we ordered second round we asked the server to not shake too long. We waited 15 minutes for drinks and they were no different. Still watery. Steak tartare was extremely bland but the sourdough bread served with it was good. Lobster tasted like iodine and was dry and tough. But french fries were good. Steak was okay but not what I was expecting as I had heard this restaurant was outstanding and I was expecting a really good steak.

   2nd meal here after having the Beef Wellington and the Baked Alaska on the first trip. Happened to get Kevin as our waiter this time too, fortunately, as he was great, as was all the other service.

   My wife and I were celebrating our 34th anniversary. We had an awesome meal consisting of dry-aged bone-in 22 ounce ribeyes, mushrooms, and scalloped potatoes. Our wait staff, Anthony and Laura, was absolutely amazing.

    My boyfriend and I went here for our 10 year anniversary. I would definitely consider us foodies and are very particular about where we eat. I’ve lived in ATL for 20 years and I will say this was the best restaurant I have been to in ATL if you love a steak house vibe. Will absolutely go back.

    We celebrate occasions regularly at Marcel. During our most recent visit, our party ordered appetizers, salads, entrees, sides, and desserts. Although the taste of (most of) our food was on point, the temperature of much of it was not. Appetizers: Gnudi - arrived cold in a warm dish, replaced piping hot and absolutely delicious (highly recommended); Oysters - delicious. Salads: Caesar and Salad Marcel - both delicious. Entrees: Steak Frites - steak was barely warm but flavor was good (sauce verte), tons of fries; Halibut - good flavor; Bone-in Filet - cook was good, more seasoning would have been a plus, serving temp was almost cool; Burger - cook (medium) was perfect, very rich and flavorful, hands-down a favorite. Sides: Pommes Dauphinoise - piping hot but sadly under seasoned; Mushrooms - tasted like they’d been mingled with a log from a campfire, very disappointing. Desserts: Bananas Foster Baked Alaska - non-remarkable, the presentation was nice, smaller cut on the bananas would have improved the brûlée, cake not very moist; Berry Galette - okay. Ratings given were based on consideration of price/expectations of an upscale restaurant. We were comped for the Gnudi and didn’t mention the other temperature issues. At an establishment of this caliber, attention to detail is expected and should not have to be brought to anyone’s attention. All in all, I am certain this was not our last visit.

    The food was very good, but the experience was lacking. The restaurant badly needs valet service as the hike from the garage to the restaurant takes an unexpectedly long time, the staff needs to be better trained, and I'd highly recommend a dress code. I'm not sure why t-shirts and basketball jerseys would be considered appropriate for what is supposed to be a high-end restaurant.

    One of the best restaurant atmospheres in the ATL. The steaks, seafood, sides, drink selection all fantastic. The service is top notch. It is expensive but without a doubt it's a unique experience. The backstory of who Marcel is named after is interesting as well.

    No exaggeration, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Everything single thing was top tier. Food was immaculate, ambiance was beautiful and classy, servers never missed a beat and accommodated to my every need. I sampled everyone's plate in my party and everything was delicious. What a wonderful place to celebrate my birthday. THIS is what I call fine dining!! I will certainly be back soon. My only complaint was the burger was sold out so I couldn't try that too!

    Went here for fiancé's birthday. The service was the best I have ever received from a restaurant. We loved the bread service, the salad marcel, the lobster risotto, tea service and desserts. My fiancé's ordered the cote de Boeuf medium rare. Unfortunately, the steak he received had a char on the outside that was blackened to a crisp, making the steak tough and taking away the flavor. Either too much butter was added to the pan for the char, too of a high temp, or it was simply left too long on the pan giving it that sear. Truthfully disappointing given how much it was and how highly marcels is rated.

    We’ve eaten at Marcel multiple times and it continues to outperform. From the mixologist at the bar to the wait staff (Nick one of the best waiters we’ve ever had) there attention to detail is second to none. Even there GM took time to come by our table and make sure all was good. Thank Ray. The food I’d give a 10 out of 10. I ve had there dry aged ribeye several times and it melts in your mouth. My wife loves the bone in filet and can’t wait to go back again. I’ve eaten at most of the great steak restaurants in Atlanta and this one is by far the best.

    Was disappointed with our most recent visit to Marcel. The filet was extremely overcooked and over seasoned (too salty). The cream corn was burnt on top but then nearly raw underneath. At least the salad was good. For the price paid, one would suspect a better experience. Hopeful this is just a one-off experience.
