Born in the City of Delights, or more commonly known as Palermo, Italy, Marcello fell in love with cooking from a very young age. Influenced by the crystal clear water, the flavours of the culturally rich air and a little encouragement from his mother, he went on to receive professional training from Milan and owned a restaurant on the Adriatic Sea. Now for over 20 years he's brought his joy of Southern Italian cooking to Vancouver. Marcello's is a neighbourhood gem on Commercial Drive in the heart of little Italy set for any occasion.

The food and service is always great. Love the Prosciutto Pizza and Salads. My go to to entertain clients. Great spot for a business lunch.

Delicious food as usual! Wish the calamari came in a more reasonable portion. We sadly don’t get it anymore as it’s always far too much and doesn’t keep well to take home. The happy hour portion is perfect. That said, the chef’s salad and pizza are amazing.

Great food and great service. Very impressed. Overall great experience. It’s been years since we’ve been to Marcello’s and extremely happy we went there again. We’ll be back soon.

We had a great experience here and were very happy with the food and the service. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. My bolognese was just ok but the Caesar salad and pesto bacon pasta were fabulous!

Our meals were all very good (pizza, bolognese, vongole, cannelloni), except the cannelloni was bland and had to ask for sauce to improve it…which it did. The noise (music) level is very high which makes having a conversation very difficult.

Usually one of our favourites but service was slow and forgetful this time. For the price they need to do better. Waiting for a drink for 15 minutes is a bit much. Had to ask a different server to help us. Food luckily was fine.
