Food was okay, service was not. We were surprised with the service this time as it is usually fine

It was very disturbing to be required to be subjected to a Smart Infrared Temperature Thermometer Kiosk with Face Recognition in order to be a customer at Marcello’s Restaurant. The employee rejected our request to have a hand held thermometer used instead. She said the battery died as she showed us that thermometer. Other than that, the food was good and our waiter was fantastic.

Thank you for a beautiful meal and service. Both pizza and pasta dishes were delicious.

One of my favourite restaurants for pasta. Hadn't been there in awhile but it was exactly as I remember it. Lunch was excellent.

I went here for my birthday for dinner. The food was delicious and very generous with the portions. They were busy that night and it took a while to get our food. Service was a bit slow but good overall. The kitchen was understaffed for the amount of orders they had in the restaurant. I would definitely come here again as I love the fresh pasta and pizza. I do recommend people to try if they haven't been here. One of the best places for fresh homemade pasta.

When we were seated near the patio door that had a continuous cool draft, we politely asked the manager if we could be moved to another table (as there were several available at that time). We were told 'there is no draft' and 'the patio door does not open'... So, our request was sternly denied. Meanwhile, the door opened dozens of times throughout our dinner, and my elderly parents had to put scarves on while rushing through their meals. We brought it up again -- and sadly, no one seemed to care. I never write negative reviews, but felt it necessary since we were basically ignored. It was rude, unprofessional, and disappointing -- especially given it was Family Day and I wanted to treat my parents to a rare night out. The calamari was great, and our server was lovely -- but the manager failed.

Food is great if you are looking for Italian food. Personally tasted amazing but a bit heavy for me . If you are looking for great tasting pasta. It’s. A must for you 👍🏽

Food was fantastic and I felt very safe. Valentines Day meal was memorable, and Marcello’s is a spot I can always count on for good food.

Arguably the best pizza I’ve had in all pizza places I’ve visited so far in Canada. Highly recommend.

Service, food, ambience fantastic.
This is one of my favourite Italian restaurants.
I love the tomato gnocchi and margarita pizza. And if you have a big appetite go for the calzone!

The food is great but the service is so so and the ambiance is ruined by their loud phone ringing that can be heard all over the restaurant. The wine by the glass is very disappointing. Overall three stars because of good value but disappointing otherwise.

It is always our go to place. A place that is a perfect reminder of what we left in Italy.

When we arrived, we were seated at a table right by the washrooms. You could clearly hear the toilets flushing. Not very pleasant. Luckily they were able to move us to a better table once another party left. The food was ok, but the pizzas could have used another minute or two in the oven.

Great salad and pasta. Really enjoyed it.

Best pizza in Vancouver. Being on Commercial drive is a bonus.

Visit as often as I can. Always good food and excellent service. Recommend the pizzas, salads, and grilled squid.

The food was decent but nothing out of this world . The server was very nice and helpful but it took forever to get drinks and our bill . The restaurant was extremely busy though so we were understanding of that

I used to love the vegi pizza as it had so many toppings on it but unfortunately not only the price has gone up but also the toppings has gone down too, barely any toppings on the pizza, kinda of disappointing 😢 but the Spicey chicken pasta was super yummy just like before 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 also didn't like the service our server was very mad and angry when we asked for anything like warm water with lemon or he served us coffee that was half full and when we asked to fill it up he was really mad 😢 disappointing hope next time will be better 🙏🏼

Good no-frills restaurant for Italian fare. Have been here many times. Caesar Salad was bit dry this time but the Pizza is allways good and service is attentive. Waiters are using a kind of lower face shield instead of masks, which I thought was a bit odd, but I'm assuming this is allowed by healthy authorities.

Always a favorite for pizza or pasta. Calamari is a must try too!

If you want to go to Italy, this is where you should go. The ambience, the stellar
tasty food-I had grilled calamari and my daughter had a pizza and full safety precautions
are in place.

Food is always very good here; tasty pizza and pasta...service was just OK this visit; had better... Marcello's has done a great job with Covid protocols; felt extremely safe and comfortable.

The waiter couldn’t have been better. The restaurant was very cold. Salad was simple and great, linguine Carbonara was more like a very bad Alfredo. The restaurant was gracious and removed it from the bill. I reserved a pizza and was much happier.

Food tastes like the lid fell off the salt shaker when they seasoned it. Service was great. Ambience ok. Value no.
