   The food is just too expensive! I’m had better local breakfast in the mile end, and in at Henri. Definitely do not go there if you don’t want to leave broke and hungry.

   UNFORTUNATELY we were not able to physically eat at the restaurant as our toddler was not behaving. The restaurant allowed us to order their menu up to our room at FS. The food was absolutely wonderful. Seafood was really fresh. Loved every item that we ordered

   We arrived early for our table and went to the bar for a cocktail. The hostess was to come retrieve us when our table was ready. She never came for us so we ventured back to the front to be seated. We were surprised when led to our table the place was empty. There was no reason to not seat us when we arrived as we had asked. The service was fine and the food was fine. It was definitely not anything out of the ordinary especially for the prices being charged. We had the lobster and crab cold appetizer. The mayo/ketchup sauce provided was less than desirable for the seafood and definitely lacked any thought going into its creation. We asked for some drawn butter instead .We were charged $5 for the butter. At least it was tasty. The steak was cooked properly as was the black cod. I would not return as the food does not match the price point.

    Very disappointing experience. My black coffee arrived lukewarm, had to send it back and ask for hot coffee. Took over an hour to receive a sad looking plate of lobster eggs Benedict that was also cold - which most likely sat on the counter despite the restaurant not being very busy. Had to also send that back and ask for warm poached eggs. For a 30$ plate, it was very mediocre. The English muffins weren’t even warmed up or toasted. No salad on the side. Just a sad looking plate. No effort put into the food. Our waiter was nice, but barely came to check on our table - service was slow. Honestly, just overall very disappointing.

    Everything was good except that the waffle in the chicken and waffle was cold, not cooked all the way through. The server offered us a free drink as compensation which was nice of him. I’ve had the chicken and waffles before and it was excellent. This might have just been a one off. The service and dining room are both great. I’ll certainly return for brunch another time.

    Too much sugar in desserts, is it possible to do some semi-sugar options for future desserts?A waitress brought birthday candles and a happy birthday song along with the dessert, which touched us. Thanks a lot.

    Casual dress code: men in hoodies, t-shirts and baseball caps. Salmon tartare was good but smaller than the pictures posted on open table. Piccadilly pasta was good but lobster was over cooked. The black cod is small and comes with no side vegetables. Good overall ambience with live dj.

    It was our first time having dinner at Marcus and we loved every moment. The service, the drinks, the food, the ambiance were one of the best we have experienced in Montreal. We had the pleasure of staying at the Four Seasons Hotel and also tried the breakfast. It was also very good. We will definitely be back!

    For a restaurant that is looks and sounds nice, I have never eaten such food in a “quality” restaurant with no taste, no flavour no nothing for such a high price. Would recommend the lounge for drinks but the food is not it at all, and I’m being nice The gesture saw that I had barely touched my plate and that I wasn’t happy and decided to overlook it

    I was disappointed to find the fillet mignon replaced with a 'baseball steak' on the lunch menu. If it had to be replaced it would have been best to choose a comparable choice from another red meat (lamb, veal). Although it was properly cooked, I found it chewy and unpleasant. I spent approx $150 for 1 person (no alcohol) on lunch and at this level it is reasonable to expect every course to be excellent.

    They forgot to take our food order to 20 minutes, then brought the wrong dish. I asked for the dish I had originally ordered and didn't mind waiting but they then forgot the replacement on the pass so it was cold when it finally arrived. Servers were apologetic but not a great experience
