Our server Stephanie was excellent and deserved more stars if they were available. We started with 2 cocktails which were made to perfection and then voila our tuna tartare showed up and with the coolest wafers which we slowly enjoyed bite for bite. We ordered a lobster pasta and a black cod, though the portions are on the small size the taste was large. To make up for the size we ordered a side of there cooked to perfection truffle fries which took care of our bellies. Stephanie then she wanted to give us a complimentary aperitif drink for our 1st anniversary celebration which was so very nice and tasted great with little colourful flowers floating on top. For desert which there were some beautiful choice we shared a fantastic chocolate cake which arrived with a sparkle. Thou we both dressed up for the occasion the majority of the clientele were casual, so it’s up to you on what you want to wear. I was in the restaurant business for a few years and it was nice to see a well oiled machine of a well trained staff especially with an open kitchen. All in all it was a great experience and the bill with tax was $250 and a well deserved $50 tip on top, so it’s not for every day but if you have a special occasion I highly recommend Marcus and don’t forget to ask for Stephanie.

Food was excellent, I love to have the coffee in the pot, 1st pot was cold & old coffee but thank god an adult lady change it for us and we enjoy it. We always like to come only to this restaurant for brunch & always continue to come. Thanks

We got there 15 minutes late and when we showed up to grab our table the hostess really made it unpleasant moreover gave me hard time in way as the table is S gone even if the restaurant was half empty ( the waitress confirmed ) … for a place of this level , you would think they would make the client feel amazing from start to end .. especially when I am spending over 1000$ for 2 people … and yet it was nothing like that was the hostess ? Our waitress was amazing !! If it wasn’t for this I would make Marcus my go too restaurant for my personal and my business / clients .. shame

Very expensive and just fair food - the shrimp cocktail had over cold and comprised 6 rubbery shrimp and at over 50 dollars -not good for an appetizer. The lamb was over priced (close to $60) at two chops and not a particularly good cuts nor cooked well. The Lobster pasta however was very nice as was the roasted cauliflower. Marcus needs to bring its prices down and focus more on execution. Service was good and attentive.

The octopus was not as the perfect octopus I had the last time I was there, more rubbery but still OK. The eggplant was also OK but not special. The fish was superb. The Japanese cheesecake was really boring and rather dry. Perhaps it was a bad night and will eat there again on Monday

Tres bon. Un peu dispendieux pour le plat. Pour le prix, j’aurais peut-être aimé avoir un peu plus de garniture/accompagnement. Sinon, les cocktail et le vin étaient top et le service très bien. Un bel endroit.

We enjoyed brunch time here: I ordered classic Benedict and my boyfriend lobster omelette. Portions are small so you likely will have to order more than a plate, nothing special about food but ambiance was nice

Was here for lunch with a client. We both ordered from the table d'hote - had the tomato salad which was excellent and the salmon. The salmon had this mexican marinade and was cooked to perfection - just a hint of spice - it was outstanding. I also appreciated the waitress greating me by my name (as she must of looked a the name on the reservation) thought that was a nice touch.

Marcus is a truly fine restaurant. The standards for cuisine are very high and uncompromising. Having eaten here several times over the last three years we can say we have always enjoyed the food. It is important to visit Marcus at a time when the restaurant can 'handle' the size of the crowd. This is a "destination" restaurant and many people in Montreal may try to be there - especially for brunch and on weekend nights. We strongly advise you to consider the less trafficked times - Monday, Tuesday, etc. The food is still excellent on other nights but you may wait much longer for it. Also, when many people are there the energy level is also amped up considerably. Again - we would gladly go at ANY time - but you'll have a quieter and smoother time of it if you select the evenings when there are less diners.

Food was great, the filet and lamb was moist and sapid; the tomato salad and shrimp was pleasant and light. However, service was very slow. Waitress took very long to attend - timed 33 minutes after our meal was complete. Between this our waiter was changed 3 times without letting us know. Largest issue was the fact that our waitress would speak to us in French after we told her we do not understand her and prefer English. When tips heavily rely on the attention of the servers, it’s unfortunate that their careless and averse service affects the potential earnings of cooks whom make very delectable plates.

Very nice restaurant, roof top feel, and has a nice view if you get a table outside. We go often. Great for occasions. Food is excellent although this last time, I felt the portions were tiny, but still high quality. Service is nice. Noise level a bit louder than usual and gets clubby in the late hours.

We went to celebrate a very special birthday and anniversary in Montreal for a number of days, and Marcus was the best meal we had the entire trip (and we went to a number of high-tier places). Service was great. The food was amazing. The wine selection ranks with the best in Canada. And the ambiance reminded us of a couple of our favourite places in Las Vegas and Miami. We will definitely be back. It was a very memorable evening thanks to our time at this restaurant.

In short, the restaurant is riding the laurels it once had... Food was mediocre at best , served warm ... The finishings on the dishes were laughable at best... Service was great , I want to thank Liz for her impeachable service last night. However my guest had a food allergy to mustard, 20 minutes into our appetizer we were made aware that there was indeed mustard in one of the sauces. Thank heavens for my guest had their epipen . .. I wonder how long it would have taken for paramedics to arrive had he not had his medication ... Restaurants need to protect people with food allergies... Leaving was a disaster ( 23:50 was my departure ) and the valet was nowhere to be seen! I had to go back to the front desk past midnight to be escorted by security to the valet this took 30 minutes. The Valet was worse as he spoke no English , hey is Montreal not a Canadian city? Is Canada not bilingual ? Shame ... After spending close to $6000.00 on a diner , I felt disgusted at the shameful service that the Four Seasons exemplified last night . Truly a disaster.
