   Thank you for the excellent birthday dinner. Staff was spectacular and quick. I want to apologize to the General Manager/Expeditor when he alerted me our valet would be prompt in 5 minutes and we were waiting to pay as I gave him the impression I felt rushed but I did want to make sure someone else could get our table timely. Previously I've gone with my parents to this restaurant (this is my favorite restaurant in the North End) and he ordered the Wild Mushroom spaghetti and my Dad DID NOT SHARE IT because he said it was the best spaghetti he ever had. So this time I got it and I loved it. We also ordered the Zucchini blossoms as an appetizer which were delicious and reminded me of Italy, Shishito peppers and the Lobster Ravioli. Cannoli and Affogato desserts were delicious. Made my night out very special! If I could give 6 stars I would!

   We stopped by Mare for a drink and appetizer because of their lovely patio before we headed to another spot for dinner. Service was quick, bread was delicious and the crab cakes tasted very fresh. Love this spot and will continue to come back!

   This was our first time at Mare. We were celebrating a birthday which I indicated when making the reservation. It was a beautiful evening, the roof was open so it was nice. From the moment we sat down, the wait staff (who were abundant) was ready to serve. The overall staff were like robotics, no one smiled, no one had any recommendations, no overall chatter. It was annoying that as soon as a fork was put down, someone was there to clear, again without a word. It was just strange. I noticed that it was pretty much the same for most tables. We are locals and eat out very often. I question who is training this staff and how they lost their personalities.BTW, no one acknowledged the birthday! Would love to return for the food but hesitate.

   We've been to Mare about 10 times before our latest visit. Whenever we are traveling through Boston we make it a point to have a meal at Mare... it's one of our favourite restaurants in the world. The food is always fantastic and combined with the great service and wonderful atmosphere, my wife and I wish we could eat there every day. Last night's meal at Mare was no different... it was amazing!

   Incredible food. Complimentary bread for the table had delicious pesto and olive oil. Crudo trio is a must have, plus the Oysters. You can select a la carte. For dinner, we had the wild boar pappardelle and the salmon. Both delicious!

   This is the second time eating at Mare. It didn’t disappoint. Last year we went for my daughter n laws birthday and this year we did the same thing. The seafood at Mare is outstanding! Everyone had an appetizer. I got the octopus. It was a good size portion with a burata and eggplant stack. It was delicious! For my entree I got the tuna. I eat ahi tuna everywhere and this is my favorite. It was just the right amount. Everyone loved their meals. We had drinks too which were very good! There are many choices of cocktails. We got dessert too. They brought out the bread pudding for my daughter n laws birthday with candle and the plate said Happy Birthday - nice touch! I got the gelato trio. It was very good! Overall, we had a wonderful time! The music was a little too loud so it was hard to hear each other talking. We will be back!

    Was served a cocktail in a dirty glass, giving a sense that hygiene in general was poor. music was loud, and tables crowded. Didn’t stay, walked out.

    Hit and miss. Crudo apps were very good. My husband’s gnocchi and shellfish was excellent. My sword fish was over cooked and over priced, which made value plummet. Atmosphere was nice for a weekend dinner out.

    Our experience was great. Enjoyed nice views of state street. Loved the open concept. Food was amazing, Fresh oysters but a must try is the Buffalo Mozzarella OMG Creamy and Rich with the beautiful heirloom tomatoes !!!! Our entree was delicious , By the way the portion size were great. We shared the entree and it was prefect. I would say the one down fall is our candle was not charged and I mentioned it to the staff and they didn’t give us a new one. It would of really made of ambience that much for special for our date night also our table was great but a bit noisy due to the server station right next to us and the staff was placing the dishes in the bucket loudly. Besides that I would totally be back again hopefully at a table with a candle that works. Thank you for the great night !!

    Food quality was amazing…oysters (8 kinds available), mussels, hot lobster roll was fantastic! Fried clams were tasty just a smaller portion than I was hoping for. Lobster mashed were loaded with lobster chunks. Chocolate mousse was a great way to finish the meal! Our server was great (I can’t remember her name…Bianca maybe). Great service and dinner!     Lovely to be able to sit outside on a sunny cool day. Be aware that the lobster roll on the menu is not what we New Englanders are use to. The lobster pieces are very very small and you can not taste the lobster at all. Not worth the price.

    We are in our late 40s and we’re looking for a quiet romantic night out with good food. This is not the place to find that. The food was fine. Nothing outstanding. But the ambiance is more like a night club than a restaurant. Super loud. So dark we couldn’t read the menus. Very crowded. The cacio y Pepe is just an overpriced comic. Tasted like subpar Mac and cheese.

    The taste of the food was excellent and we had excellent service. Our only issue was that we were seated outside and the food got cold almost immediately. We ordered the Dover Sole and it got cold while it was being filleted. The restaurant has a great vibe and we enjoyed. I wish there was a way to help with keeping the food warm longer.

    The food wasn’t good plain and simple, their specialty which is the table side cacio e pepe tasted sour I don’t know if the cream they used was expired but I was extremely disappointing, both me and my girlfriend tasted it and just put it aside.

    Hidden gem in the North End. We had squid appetizer. Delicious. And both had Pasta dishes. Equally amazing. We're also both big Cabernet drinkers and they really had nothing to offer. Their top Cab was one I wouldn't buy in a supermarket. Otherwise, a really great and fun experience. BTW, I get why others have commented on the tables by the door...freezing every time the door opens. I'd have been bummed if I got one of those tables.

    The food was fantastic. The chef is unequivocally “a cut above“ the standard. Very creative cuisine with underlying Italian touches. Only complaint is the noise level. But then again, this is a common complaint I have about most eateries. Not sure why every restaurant insists on having patrons dine to a loud, thumping beat. I am a bit of a curmudgeon who likes to quietly enjoy a meal and talk with friends. And their defense, it took me three requests, but they did turn the music down. If you want really good food, I highly recommend

    Was my 23 years Anniversary and everything was going well but when the food come was cold and when the guy bring the desert we ask the him to write on the plate, even though I already put the reason for the dinner in the reservation. they forgot, and when it came, I couldn't understand what was written, I was disappointed.

    Great service, food, and ambiance. We got the scallops and they were out of this world. Then we split the Branzino filet and it was made to perfection. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
