   This restaurant is a gem in Miami Beach. I love the food, tapas selection was wonderful as well as the predominantly Spanish wine selection. The service is outstanding, attentive, professional and friendly.

   We had an amazing experience! Alexandria was a phenomenal server and made some really great suggestions for us to try. She was super personable and made our dining experience so enjoyable. Every dish we had, from appetizers, to dinner and all the way to dessert was outstanding

   If you look through my reservations you’ll see I’ve eaten in some of the best restaurants in NYC and a Michelin star Spanish restaurant in D.C this is by far the best Spanish food I’ve had I can only compare some of the dishes to food I’ve had in Madrid and Barcelona. I’m beyond impressed and look forward to coming back. This chef is not only creative but beyond talented. The best food I’ve had in Miami my girlfriend left speechless now wanting to have anymore Spanish food until we return later this summer.

    I am a foodie that likes to try new things. But often one picks where you feel comfortable. This time I picked this Spanish restaurant because it had the best ratings in all platforms. I expected a great meal. I got much more than that, even when we ordered spanish staples like Padron peppers or papas bravas they had a twist that made it worth experimenting. The dessert was also incredible, we had the caramelizadlo brioche with guava…. Worth it. The have a tasting menu but I was worn that it’s quite a lot of food. With what we tried, 4 dishes, they are all worth it and next time I will go more hungry to tackle the tasting menu and try many more dishes.

    Amazing!!! Olga was a great waitress. Very informative and recommended the bone marrow which was very tasty! We absolutely loved the food. Having been to Barcelona before, the octopus made me feel like I was back in Spain. The artichoke and black paella were also amazing! We will definitely be back next time we come back to Miami.

    We came here for my partner’s birthday and was not disappointed. The food was sooooo good, it put me into a coma. The paella, the mussels, the braised short rib, the duck, the ribeye, the mezcal cocktail…everything was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful meal. Our service with Olga was excellent walking us through what we should order.

    We enjoy Spanish cuisine, and this restaurant did not disappoint! It was the two of us for dinner, and we were seated at a table on the edge of the pool. We enjoyed sitting beside the pool because it was dimly lit, yet still bright enough to read the menu, and much quieter than inside the restaurant or on the patio immediately outside the rear doors. The patio was overtly bright, so we were glad to be away from that area. We ordered two tapas and finished with the lobster and seafood rice dish. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend the grilled artichoke hearts with Iberico ham and the lobster seafood rice (sort of a loose risotto texture, but more divine). If you're looking for chic decor, this place is disappointing (which is why we did not stay at the National). It looks like Restoration Hardware from 2004 with rusty metal articles and Edison lightbulbs. Go for the food and ignore the decor as best you can.

    Wonderful anniversary dinner for my wife and me. We had four tapas, which were much bigger portions than in Spain. Octupus was phenomenal, as was the braised beef with noodles. Service was friendly and informative without being intrusive; the garden porch overlooking giant courtyard pool made for a memorable celebration.

    What an incredible experience. Everything was perfect. We had dinner on the terrace at 7pm, and our server Meme was amazing. Do not hesitate to make a reservation at Mareva 1939, you won’t regret it. Best restaurant I’ve visited in Miami Beach yet!

    Husband bday. We were 2 couples. Love the vibe, the music in the bar was fun and entertaining. We were able to sit close enough to enjoy the music and be able to have a conversation. The service was awesome. Food came fast and presentation was great. Our table was served by the best. She was amazing and very attentive to us. Our new place to go!

    Real Spanish food!! Excellent! At this point I have tried almost the whole menu and everything is delicious. If you like black rice, this one is the best I ever tried. They have a Spanish potato salad that you MUST try also. The place is so beautiful too. The patio with the view of the pool, wow! And, of course, an excellent service.

    The service was excellent! The servers were awesome and always checked in on us. The food was very good. The black paella was out of this world, I would highly recommend getting that along with a couple other dishes. The prices were very fair and reasonable.

    We chose Mareva 1939 because of its convenient location to have dinner with several friends. The service was fine but the noise level made it difficult to hear conversations. Nevertheless, we did enjoy our evening at Mareva 1939 tucked inside the National Hotel.

    Lovely restaurant in historic National hotel overlooking their gardens and pool which was gorgeous. We ordered a few tapas, all of which were very good and seafood paella was very good as well. Would go back again.
