Marguerites Seafood by the Sea
Awesome evening having dinner at our favourite place in Mobay.
I thought there was no way this vacation could get any better . . . And then, this view. This food. This wine. Lobster and black truffle risotto appetizer. Caesar salad mixed tableside with raw eggs, garlic, and anchovies. Filet mignon grilled to medium-rare perfection and a poached lobster tail. Dark chocolate cake with ice cream. Cotes du Rhone red French wine. Simply marvelous. Impeccable service. Might be the best fine dining meal I've had in 2019. #holidaysinjamaica 🥂 🍾 ✈️ ⛱ 🏝 🍹 😎
Lovely experience! Delicious food, beautiful spot and amazing service. Highly recommended when in Montego Bay!
This restaurant was amaising. Everything is right and the cuisine is excellent. If you are in Jamaica, you have to go there.
Very disappointing... so expensive for what you get! And my rizzoto looks like a puree...
This is the place to go in Montego Bay. Very personal dining experience by the sea.
Food was outstanding however location right next to margarita ville which is quite noisy. Semi romantic experience.
Marguerites was amazing! We were recommended to go by a family friend who went years back - and years later it seems to be as great as it was then! The food was amazing, service was great and you are right on the water. If you make your reservation at 6 when you open you can catch the end of a great sunset.
Servers were grumpy. Restaurant was empty and they still were out of items on the menu.
Over the years we have always dined at Marguerites, this visit like so many others was flawless. The ambience is always quite and relaxing with the sound of waves against the rocks as you dine. We did notice that the menu had changed a bit and the wine list not as extensive, when we asked our server told us that they were updating both. Nonetheless dinner was YUMMY...
Everything was absolutely perfect. Food, server, view of the ocean 👌🏽. Only slightly bothered by the wait time on food.
Made arrangements for dinner for two and everything was perfect. My expectations were exceeded and my date was well pleased. Great place/space. We got a table over the water and caught the sunset too!!!
Incredible! Richardo was an amazing server and you can't go there without getting the tabkeside ceaear! Wine list was awesome!!!
A breath taking view with a lovely dinner. The food was delicious and the wait staff were attentive. Highly recommend.
Stunning views, excellent and tasty food and quiet, polite service. Excellent experience. And best photos we took all our trip thanks to the view
Excellent food, service and atmosphere!
Visited Marguerites during vacation in Jamaica. The food was spectacular and tasted fresh. It was a big group and everyone enjoyed their dish. It was pretty empty when we arrived, so the service was pretty exceptional.
Went here 19 years ago, the only place we wanted to return. Caesars salad best & server recommended summer steak & lobster. Excellent
Ate here for my birthday while in Mobay.
Made a 6PM reservation and did not know they dont open until 6. They were a bit behind in setting tables and serving us. The food was the best we had all week, and our waitress was great. She coursed out our meal and everything arrived perfectly.
We had the crab cakes for appetizer and the grouper and snapper for entrees.
We were concerned with being next to Margaritaville but being a Sunday evening it was very relaxed and noise level was well managed.
Awesome place for a couples dinner!
Lovely food and location.
One of the best meals we had on vacation in Jamaica! Seafood was fresh!! Ambiance was amazing
Appetizers were good, entrees just mediocre. What they called "bouillabaisse " contained cut up pieces of grilled fish in a tomato sauce. It might have been ok over pasta but it simply wasn't bouillabaisse. Staff was great, setting was fabulous.
View is so beautiful and the food taste soo good.
Good and we will be back tomorrow.
A gem hidden in the busy exterior of Montego Bay. A true dining experience from the moment one walks through the door.
Extremely overpriced. Food quality is poor, had to send back the salmon order. Was looking for a nice restaurant in Montego Bay and thought this may be the place, the photos of the setting make up for everything that it lacks...good food. Gratuity is included no matter the party size.
Was really hoping to enjoy this place based off the reviews and photos... BUT... they say they are for seafood, but if you eat seafood a lot such as my family.. you would be unfortunately disappointed. Scallops were very over done and rubbery, the grouper was over cooked and dry, the sea bass was undercooked, the crab cake was just ok. At the end of the meal we just wanted to leave and we asked for the check a few times. Overall, great view, but the seafood temps on everything was so off, that people were drinking water to push it down or just not eat it at all. I do not like to leave reviews unless necessary, but we left a private chef in a villa to try this place and I wish we had not. After spending that amount of money on wine, apps and entrees for 6 people, we had to have our chef make something when we got home.
We got there just as the sun was setting, creating a phenomenal view to go along with a tremendous meal. I would highly recommend that anyone that has the opportunity to dine here, do so.
Excellent menu and wine list. Try the beef tartare. The Caesar salad was great. The lobsters were done perfectly. Strange that it is attached to Margaritaville (same owners)
Great ambiance, delicious food and fantastic staff!
It was our first time back since our Honeymoon 28 years ago and it was outstanding!
This restaurant is one pf a kind...in the world..
Its a gem in Jamaica...
Not only does its food do justice to its hype, the chef n his staff go the extra mile, to accomodate yr food preferences’ that’s a winning attitude.. n Jamaican hospitality at its best!
Chef is talented n his creative take on seafood is evident in his well balanced menu...
We enjoyed our lobster main course—-drunken n grilled, and salmon... we also devored crab cakes n calamari.... great fusion jamaican with an anglo french twist! The wine list is carefully curated n many good ones r on the list.... the cocktsils r creative too’
Now on the overall experienve—this restaurant is blessed in its locale- it charms you with spectacular views of the Bay, if that wasnt enough, the soft, gentle laps of sea waves below yr feet... kind of calms you down...as you sip yr wine to savor it all!! Ambience included... hang on....
The icing on thr cake for this resto is a generous serving of a starry constellation in the nite sky!
So you can be wowed at all fronts- gustatory: olfactory from yr plate to auditory waves to visual sky!
This makes your dining experience as the one to remember!!
Setting: dining outside by the sea was lovely although it was so dark without sufficient lighting that we had to use our mobile phones to view the menu and what we were eating
Food: lobster linguine mediocre, although my guest enjoyed their salmon very much
Service: poor (rude and unwelcoming)
Value for money: no
Would recommend for a drink due to calm, pretty setting by the sea and then onto another local restaurant to eat. This is not fine dining!
We celebrated a birthday/vacation dinner. Food, wine and service was wonderful. Ambience was perfect. The doors were open to nighttime rain on the ocean and itwas the perfect backdrop to quiet family dinner, wine, and celebration, sharing appetizers and conversation before a delicious dinner.
Fantastic meal, excellent service
Not the greatest place. We went there for Thanksgiving dinner, and there was no one. We ate fish(that wasn’t fresh in our opinion), although the chef prepared it nicely. Overpriced for what you get. Wouldn’t go back.
Perfect meal in amazing ambiance
Just a lovely restaurant in Mo Bay. You will not be disappointed. Fantastic food, service and drinks. The patio was quiet, quaint and perfect for socializing. Portions are filling, which is always a plus at an upscale restaurant.
Just a breath of fresh air, awesome place
Overall the food was good and location on the bay great. However the restaurant was very dark. They provided us with torches to allow us to read the menu and eat. Perhaps all round lighting would be better.
