Welcome to Market Place Kitchen & Bar! We are a new Modern American Restaurant in the heart of Woodbury, CT, we are run by Executive Chef Matt DeLongis. We celebrate and encourage local, organic and sustainably harvested food and spirits. The interior of our space is compiled of sustainable and local materials, utilizing beautiful 300 year old barn wood from the Gurski Farm in Brookfield, CT. For three years in a row we were named Best Farm To Table Restaurant by the readers of the Waterbury Observer! We look forward to you trying our inventive, seasonally inspired cuisine and cocktails. I ordered the Korean Short Ribs. It was not spicy hot even though kimchi was part of the entree. Delicious! Would order again!

Went for Mother's Day and we were so happy we did. Everything from the cocktails to the apps and food was delicious. Service was on point, and they even had an extra touch of giving the mom's who were there a rose. Excellent job all around

We sat outside and it was a beautiful night. Our server Julia was excellent. She was polite and attentive. The bread was warm right out of the oven and the garlic spread was tasty. Our dinners were delicious. My husband had the fried cod fish with mashed potatoes instead of French fries (although their fries are very good). I had the veggie haystack which is gluten free and has sticky rice, roasted beets, charred cauliflower and broccoli, spiced chick peas, red cabbage and radish. The salsa verde is fantastic ( I get a little extra). I happily bought home leftovers as well.

Poor service. We have been here so many times and something has recently changed. We ordered an appetizer and then salads for our meal. Appetizer came out very quickly, but then it went south fast. After appetizer, we waited 45 minutes for our salads which we never received. We called waitress over 3 times to ask where the salads were, Not sure it was her fault, but salads never came… we asked for check and left without them.

Server was very nice… Food was good… Poutine was just taken off the menu and they added a bunch of new things but the server said no problem which is a plus because it is a very good appetizer to share with 3 or 4. We had food off of the Cinco menu and it was tasty and plentiful.

Would have been better if the food was served hot and had not sat under the warming lights for 5 minutes. Had to be sent back and redone. Server was not very attentive. We were there when it opened on Sunday morning and you would think that early diners would get great service. Perhaps another time. The owner was very apologetic and gave us a dessert to take home which was a nice gesture. Perhaps the staff need a bit more training?

Seated 20+ minutes after reservation. Service was slow and lackluster. Food was good but not all of us received our dinner at the same time causing our food to get cold as we politely waited. Manager was doing her best to support the staff as we observed other tables complain about the poor service.

Market place is always been one of our favorite restaurants. However, a New Year’s Eve food was cold The service was very slow, even though the restaurant was not busy. We Saturday table adjacent to the bar and it was very noisy not with patrons, but with staff doing the cleanup duty to get out of work as soon as possible.

Fried brussel sprouts were like eating candy. Best I've ever had there. Rice bowls were good, however the chicken was dark meat instead of chicken breast. Should be listed on the menu. Service was phenomenal. Overall one of the best experience there.

Food was fabulous. Mike was fantastic. Very attentive. Service with a smile. Always making sure we had a positive experience. Highly recommend. It is a little pricey, but the portions are hugh.
