Leighton is a multi-instrumentalist, educator and music producer. His sounds ebb and flow between the genres of Jazz, Gospel, Blues and Reggae. He is also the leader and musical director for the Ottawa jazz trio SoundProof, a mainstay in the Jazz community; locally and abroad. Leighton is also an active music clinician in the Gospel & Jazz scene, providing insight on his unique approach to both genres of music to individuals and groups alike. Leighton has played at the Ottawa Bluesfest, Ottawa Jazz Festival, Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival, among many others.

    First time at this restaurant and food was delicious.The ambience was great and our waiter Adam was very friendly and recommended a great bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal.It was a wonderful experience and will recommend to friends.

    Two story surrounding with over hanging view. Excellent ambiance and service. Owner on site and very accommodating. Food is flavorful and generous.

    Marzitelli is a great experience. We happened to have dinner accompanied by the sound of the piano played by Miguel de Armas who made our visit really pleasant.

    It is so wonderful to finally have a restaurant with ambience back in Ottawa. We had the Table de hote accompanied by live jazz. The family owned restaurant/club was personal. The wife was bartender and the husband was the chef. You can't go wrong with that. Thank you for such a delicious and lovely evening. Will definitely be back :)

    Amazing, traditional Italian food. Chris the owner and his wife were entertaining and friendly! Highly recommend the burrata but everything was delicious (mushroom pizza, alfredo)! Big portions, so come hungry. They have live events as well, making it for both a deliciously filling and fun night!

    DON'T GO!! Was very disappointed. When we walked in I was exited as the atmosphere was great and a band was getting ready on the stage. We were sat at a table quickly, but didn't receive a drink for almost 40 min. We sat at the table for at least 15 min before our waiter even spoke to us. I noticed a table of around 10 people downstairs had just got up and left with their plates still mostly full. At that time I was ready to go. I asked the table behind us how their experience was and they said the service was bad and the food was mediocre. We paid for our drinks after an hour just sitting there and left to cross the street at Al's Steakhouse. By the way Al's was very busy, but still found us a place at the bar and served us immediately. Oh I also asked the waiter why that table had left and after explaining he was the head waiter and everything went through him, he told me he was unsure! LOL Bad service and food apparently was not great.

    One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. We specifically picked this place as the pasta was advertised as made in house and had a jazz bar theme. We were not disappointed! My ravioli was excellent and my husband said his steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The owner came out to chat with us after dinner, which was a great personal touch.

    We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes walk away from home. Food is excellent and the service is great! Love this place and will continue to visit.
