Masaki Ratings and Reviews
Consistently fine service with respectfully rendered cuisine.
Delicious food, high quality fish and fantastic service!
Avocado sushi and service were outstanding. Main course was poor, green tea was far to expensive.
Wow what a great meal I had with my family. Very kid friendly. Food was really great.
Just wonderful- we are so thrilled it has come to Niagara-on-the-Lake
This restaurant exceeded our expecations! In fact we went back twice because we liked it so much. The fish was fresh, servers were great, chef was personable and the dishes we had were amazing! Ask for the Aburi and the sake tasting . My boyfriend and I enjoyed this place a lot and we will be back again. Thank you for such a great experience .
One of the best experiences I have had. An amazing and unexpected find.
Food was good, but... the waiting time was extremely long , even though there were not many people . The staff was busy to prepare take out orders so we waited and waited . 'We " -means four of us. Still they did not deliver our dinner simultaneously. 2 of us got the food - an other 2 was still waiting. They did bring some chips while we were waiting though. This restaurant looks more like modest fast food place ( very very modest décor- or no décor at all? ) . But again : food was good...
Excellent and good food, specially the shasimi dinner plate. Good variety of fish offerings.
Outstanding, authentic chef-prepared Japanese cuisine... we WILL be back!
I went there with my wife on Saturday night, i have to say it is the best Sushi restaurant in Niagara region. The quality of food is very high. Very Fresh fish and nice service. The impressive one is our server recommended us to try the deep fried fish bone because we have a whole fish bone from Sashimi. He said it is very popular in Japan people eat it as a snack. We have tried and we both love it! I will definitely repeat this place. Yummy food!
Nice ambience at the restaurant. Server, Trevor, was friendly and helpful. Presentation of the food was lovely. Food itself was average and not commensurate of the price.
My husband and I dined twice at Masaki this week. The lobster miso soup was excellent . The sashimi was very fresh and the best We have had. Every thing is fresh! The best is the fresh wasabi that is grated at your table! Food and service excellent!
Will be back soon!!!
If you are in the mood for Sushi. You can't go wrong here.
By far the most authentic and very good Japanese restuarant in the Niagara region.
We lived in Japan so we know good Japanese food.
High quality fresh sushi served artfully
The service was excellent, with excuisite attention to detail in presentation.
My friend and I are long time locals in NOTL and had dinner at Masaki on a week night. This sushi restaurant is a breath of fresh air for this town. Our server was top notch and provided much needed guidance and recommendations on both the meal and the sake choices. The quality and freshness of the sushi was excellent. The menu is not large, but offers and very good variety of dishes, all well and expertly prepared. It is a tad expensive, but well worth every dollar. It was recommended to us by locals, and we will be sure to recommend it to others.
I've been there for lunch and twice for dinner. The food is fresh, fresh, fresh and beautifully presented.
Great food, great service, fair price!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spectacular food. Extremely fresh direct from Japan via Air.
Totally delicious experience!
This is a great find in Niagara on the Lake. The fish was impeccable. We had the Aburi sushi platter, and every piece of fish was perfectly fresh and lovingly prepared. The other items are find, but the fish was a real winner. We only went once, and did not taste the other sushi or sashimi choices, but all indications we saw were that everything was impeccable. This would be a perfectly great deal at a significantly higher price
A wonderful addition to area dining.
The food and presentation are superb and the service quick and efficient.
The sashimi is fresh and generous. All dishes were properly spiced and delectable. A good selection of quality sake to compliment. A bit pricey but worth it.
The only negative was the noise level. No sound baffling to aid conversation.
Small downstairs restaurant with sushi bar. had very nice Sake suggested by server. The sushi was very fresh and well presented. Also had tempura which was nice and soft shell crab which was ok. The dumplings were delicious. Overall a very pleasant experience- was a little noisy. Would return.
Very fresh ingredients directly from Japan, flavorful and nicely presented dishes, attentive service. Yoshi is very nice.
Great selection of fish, very fresh and delicious. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.
This was our second meal at Masaki. We were so impressed with our previous dining experience we thought why not make the drive from Mississauga to Niagara On The Lake to have some high quality Sushi? Whether it is a lunch or dinner, the sushi is fresh and delicious. We will definitely return anytime we are in Niagara On The Lake.
Was here with my mom to treat her to a birthday lunch. We liked the food. The selection is small and other people don't like that. To me, it's fine because you don't get too overwhelmed with the selection. They have the basics like tempura for a picky eater like me. Wish the sparkling sake is a little bit more affordable. ;) It would be nice to serve free hot tea as well. The staff are nice. The chef even comes to every table to ask customers if everything's good. It's a small restaurant but I like it's quiet ambiance. It's very close to the Prince of Wales Hotel and the Waterfront too so you can take a walk after eating. Overall, I liked my experience and will come back to this restaurant!
Absolutely fabulous food and service. Had the tasting menu and it was well worth every penny! Service was excellent at explaining each dish. A true gem!!
Empty at 5:30 when we arrived. Friendly, attentive staff, but I thought $15 was overpriced, even for a specialty roll.
Excellent place for sushi, so good we had to come back here. Excellent service and attention to detail. Will definitely be back soon. Only positive things to say!
We enjoyed the sashimi dinner and the sushi dinner - beautiful presentation and delicious. We had helpful and attentive service; the chef persuaded me to try sea urchin and I loved it! We will be back.
Great Sushi! The Sashimi is thick and fresh. The Sushi is beautifully prepared and presented and the tastes are wonderful. Literally, the best I have had.
Great value too! Table of 5 with two bottles of wine and enough Sushi, Sashimi and Nigiri to be fully satiated for $200 ...
Absolutely perfect. Best sashimi plated expertly.
Sit at the chef's bar and watch the knife skills at work.
Definitely worthy of repeat visits.
Food was delicious and fresh, and our waiter Yoshi was amazing!
What a sensational experience. My wife and I ventured here from Niagara Falls and thought that we would enjoy a little time away from the kids. We could not have been more impressed. The Chef’s table option is unbelievable. Not only were the portions perfect, but the Chef’s picks definitely pushed my wife and I to try new things. We will certainly return when we next visit Niagara Falls.
Great sushi. Have already recommended to family and friends.
We have ordered take out before , been quite happy with that, we live locally . Finally had an opportunity to dine in for daughters birthday and we were quite impressed with food service and price , well done!!
Best tempura I've ever had and the seafood bowl
Love the quality at Masaki, it is better than many places in Toronto. We happily make the drive for this experience.
