Great food and good service. The tuna tartare and the sashimi were particularly good. The ambience was lacking -- very drab and basic decor. Given the price point I would prefer a better atmosphere. However, the food was good enough that I will probably go back.

It’s been at least 10 years from our last visit. The restaurant has been renovated with a new menu. We had the sushi and sashimi dinner for two which included the miso soup, both the sushi and the sashimi were fresh and well prepared. The service was excellent and attentive. We’ll be back for sure.

Best Japanese/Sushi restaurant in Niagara for sure. It is high end though, so keep in mind it's not the cheapest option, but 100% worth the price. Every dish is perfect, from presentation to taste, and the flavours are out of this world. Get the Epi Mayo if you love shrimp! The miso alone tells you the caliber of this restaurant, so simple so subtle yet so delicious. At most sushi the miso is an after thought, just salty water, but the care and dedication Misaki has for its food really shines with this simple dish. Highly recommend for a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday as it is quite expensive so it's a nice treat once in a while.

This restaurant is a gem! The food was exceptional and staff were warm and wonderful. Items available on this menu we’ve never seen anywhere else. We got to try the delectable A5 wagyu beef which we are all still talking about. The sushi and sashimi platter was prepared to perfection and included rare tastes directly from Japan. The sake flights were well balanced and high quality. Couldn’t recommend more!

Highly recommend , excellent sushi that is the highest of quantity. Haniah was an outstanding server and she spent the time to make sure we order exactly what we wanted. My wife is gluten free and they had a special menu just for gluten free people. We sample five different sake before we found the one we wanted and they had no problem with us sampling that many. The restaurant goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. If you like sushi you owe it to yourself to try this wonderful Restaurant. We can’t wait to go back again. We also found the prices to be very reasonable.

I had an incredible experience at Masaki. Amazing location in the beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake. Oustanding food and perfect ambiance (music kept low enough that we could converse and hear each other easily). I need to take a moment to acknowledge the UNBELIEVABLE service at Masaki. I am gluten-free celiac, and the staff's consideration and attention to detail when it came to advising me on menu options and avoiding cross-contamination blew me away! I can't wait to go back for more!

I don’t expect to have a 12pc sushi course with only 4kind of fish…this is quite disappointing…my friend is having sushi lunch with 6pc of sushi and 6pc California roll. The 6pc of sushi is with 3kind of fish. I don’t think this is a normal performance for a famous Japanese restaurant.

Wonderful restaurants. Service was outstanding - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. The food was consistently excellent, from appetizers (tuna tartar and agedashi tofu), to the black cod, and rolls (spicy tuna and salmon avocado). We also had the sake flight (platinum) - not only was it good, but the explanations of each (both in writing and orally) very helpful. A stop at Masaki if in NOTL is well worth it. We look forward to our next visit.

This was at a basement unit . Regular table at a basement corner background painted each table between has no privacy Prime shasimi was 95 for 21 piece . Nothing special neither fresh especially the 3 piece regular Salom the all you can eat sushi is more fresh The arugi sushi 49 bucks was horrible one of them I think sushi meat over cooked and has a bad flavor Server has a judgement eye but was ok Everything is way too oily . I came once two year ago thought was winter shouldn’t be picky but won’t try anymore

The nice thing about this restaurant is that the menu is about Japanese cooking, not just slicing some fish and stirring up some miso which has become commonplace. The creativity in the menu is amazing. Everything looked so interesting and delicious, it took us awhile to decide. And they mark the menu with their suggestions for the most popular and recommended dishes. We had two. My wife had the pork belly served on rice with vegetable garnishes, this was not just a thick piece of greasy bacon (although that is delicious, too) but sliced and meaty, mild and tender. Very Good! The other recommended dishe was the oysters in the half shell, garnished with tobiko, green onion, etc. It was absolutely divine. In addition the agedashi tofu was just delicious, the broth was somehow both sweet and savory and had deep complex flavor. Will return to Masaki Sushi on our next trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Gluten free Sushi! The Maki is amazing, hard for me to compare to other sushi since I can't eat most of it but the food here was delicious. Even my more experienced friends were very impressed and I've been told that it's "ruined other sushi restaurants" for them. Can't wait to go back

Don’t waste your time. We had reservations for dinner and were seated and no joke waited 20 plus minutes for someone to get us water and take a drink order. It never actually happened because we got up and walked out. It also had a college dining hall restaurant vibe. Many other options out there.
