   Truly exceptional. Michelle at the bar was an absolute delight. She was one of the best we have encountered anytime, anywhere. Food was phenomenal and service over the top. Music/entertainment also wonderful.

   As we stepped into the dining room of the Mastro Ocean Club, we were immediately greeted by a warm and welcoming hostess who set the tone for the rest of our dining experience. From the moment we were seated, it was clear that every detail had been carefully considered, from the lighting to the décor to the attentive service. Our waitress, Gabriela, was a true expert in her craft, guiding us through a culinary journey that included the restaurant's signature cocktails and customized appetizers. She deftly recommended dishes that suited our tastes and preferences, making us feel truly cared for. One of the highlights of the evening was the opportunity to celebrate our son's birthday, which was acknowledged with the utmost attention and care. From start to finish, the service was impeccable, with every need anticipated and met with a smile. But it was the food that truly stole the show. The perfectly cooked bone-in steaks, delivered to our table at precisely the requested temperature, were a true work of art. The side dishes, such as the wild mushroom truffle gnocchi, were equally impressive, with each bite bursting with flavor and texture. As we savored our meal, the live jazz music in the background added to the energetic atmosphere, creating a truly unforgettable dining experience. And with a stunning view of the Boston harbor, the Mastro Ocean Club proved to be a place we will surely return to time and time again.    A completely botched evening. Our waiter apparently forgot to put in most of our appetizers, so I got my soup and we waited almost an hour for the salads. Unfortunately, by that time, our entrees were also ready, so the food runners brought those to the table, then when they saw everyone just starting on their salads, turned around and put 5 steaks and sides under warming lights for half an hour, which resulted in dry and over cooked meat. Our waiter never apologized or came clean, and mostly ignored us for the night - no offers of another drink, etc. Oh, and we had to ask for silverware for the entrees - they literally had two hours to get the silverware on the table, but we had to wait with the food in front of us, making sure the meat was not only dry and over cooked, but also cold. When our waiter asked if we’d like dessert, we said that we would “take a look at the menu,” I heard him tell the food runner to give the dessert menus to another table, not to us - she had it right, so I interrupted and reminded him that we wanted to see the menu. He gave me a blank stare. This all transpired in a few minutes - just bizarre. There are so many other steakhouse options in the Seaport - I will never waste my money here again.

   We ordered a chicken Caesar salad for my eight-year-old daughter And her sister and they charge for two meals on each of them instead of just adding chicken to a Caesar like every other restaurant does for a small fee 84.00 chicken plus the salad crazy

   I took my gourmet guest from Tokyo to Mastro's because of a very pleasant birthday dinner there several years ago. We were seated along the wall at the smallest restaurant table I've ever encountered. It simply wasn't big enough for two plates, a breadbasket, one side dish, cutlery and glasses. The waitress, who was quite good, kept trying to take away the bread so that we would have some space but my guest liked bread. We both had the Alaskan King Crabs, 8 oz for $90, which turned out to be three little pieces--more like Alaskan mini-crab. It was delicious but basically should count as one of the more modest size appetizers rather than being listed as a main course. Fortunately Brussels sprouts with bacon, quite good, filled us up because it came with lots of big chunks of bacon. The chocolate mousse cake was a good ending, not special but good. The restaurant was very noisy, and plays music loud enough to be heard over the cacophony of voices. Having a business conversation was difficult.

   Love the food and the vibe keeps us coming back. My husband’s chair was really in the aisle near the kitchen and the main passage way and he felt his chair kept getting pushed. Probably too small an area for a table of 5.

    OMG! I absolutely loved Mastro’s. The ambiance, the FOOD and the DRINKS. We had a very attentive waiter and table service. Prices were a bit steep but it’s to be expected for this area. It was my husbands birthday and we decided not to get a sweet treat but the waitress brought us one anyway (cheesecake and strawberries). I will be back for my own birthday!

    A wonderful experience the ambiance, service and food were well above average. The place has a good vibe. Our server Arthur Post and the assistant general manager Val Gionbalaj made our birthday dinner all the more special. Best steak place in Boston and we frequent them all.     We had a great table at the wondow looking out at the harbor. I had the seared tun and it was delicious, my rack of lamb was cooked perfectly and the sauteed asparagus was great. I needed to ask the waiter for our bread service which we ordered and got it after our meal came. I was surprised that the cost of my complimentary slice of birthday cake which I didn't order was added to our bill.

    The service was decent. We had 6 people with us, three of our meals had to be sent back due to two steaks being raw when we requested they be cooked medium and one dish was cold. The food was extremely salty. I have been to Mastros in Boston many times but this experience was the worst.

    I had a party of 7 and they all enjoyed their meals (for the most part) — my Bone-In Fillet has supposed to be medium and came to the table raw — it went back and came back medium but mostly burnt on the outside. My waitress had significant attitude throughout our meal (would be gone then when called appeared upset) but she did try to save the night by getting my daughter a special dessert — but for the cost (which I usually don’t care about) I expected more

    Food was excellent but had reservations for 8:15 didn't get a table till 9:04 whats the point of reservation if its going to take a hour to be seated no apologies from management or any sort for the long delay

    We had to wait an hour for a table - even though we had made a reservation a month ahead. The hostesses were not apologetic at all for this. Once we were seated the dinner was great. Good wine list, great food and a good server. We’ll go back but not on a Saturday.

    Outstanding evening celebrating a special bday for my sister-in-law. Appetizers consisted of Shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare. Cocktails were Negronis and apple martinis. Entrees consisted of Scallops, a 16oz sirloin and a ribeye steak. Sides were garlic mashed, truffled butter sautéed mushrooms. Cabernet Sauvignon “Artemis” by Stags Leap from Napa Valley, CA was just excellent. Excellent bread service Service was impeccable by Yenni and Jonathan last evening. Mastro’s Butter cake w/ ice cream and strawberries and other sorted fruit. It was a perfect evening (temps in 70’s) full moon, and ships in the harbor. Could not have been any better. Each time we return, the food gets better and better. Issues w/ Mastro’s are: Noise level is not conducive for fine dining and at these prices, you should be able to enjoy dinner conversation with guests. Management does nothing to enforce the dress code and it is pathetic that people don’t look in the mirror prior to going out for fine dining on a Saturday evening. Mastro’s has a dress code policy….start enforcing it.

    By far my favorite place in the city. Food is excellent and only outdone by their service. The servers, bartenders, managers and staff are phenomenal. No atmosphere like it around and is always my first pick. Can’t recommend enough.

    The decibel level is like standing outside a 747 . In spite of this a room caption wearing a jacket and a terrible looking hair pice keep turning up the volume of the background music. I guess no one ever explained what background music is. If you are young and deaf this is your place

    Hot butter cake was delish! Wine pairing with fillet bone in was perfect. Sea bass was a miss. Don’t care for flat, thin fillet. However, the whole experience was diluted by the extremely loud venue. Couldn’t hear people in my own party.
