Dark and noisy. Couldn’t read the menu , and waiters would come with flashlights to show what was on the seafood tower. Service was just ok, nothing to rave about.

Normally, Mastros is a home run every time as it was always my favorite restaurant. This time, the food was mediocre. My husband’s strip steak quality was not up to par of what we are used to. It seems as though they covered up the lack of quality by smothering it in butter. Our waiter was rushing us the whole time. Dropped off the check as soon as dessert was brought over.

We love this restaurant and have been coming to eat here for several years before COVID. The one thing we were disappointed in was they took tuna tartare off the menu. We got that every time with a shrimp cocktail for appetizers.

We really enjoyed our meal at Mastro's. Steaks were delicious and so were the appetizers. Happy to see there were a lot more diners than the last time I was there. One of the best steakhouses in NYC and I've been to them all.

The steak at Mastro's is perfection! Also the mushroom gnocchi and the burrata salad. It is an elegant restaurant, but is actually a bit too dark- had to get out our phones to read the menu. Thought the piano lady was great, but the volume maybe just a tad too loud as it interrupts conversation a bit. The biggest issue was multiple waiters handling the table. And the younger one didn't seem to be listening too much. It took 4 attempts to get my mom her second glass of Prosecco and also 4 attempts to get more bread. We had to ask for refill of water a couple of times too. Thankfully, they were very patient with all our leftovers - as they should be for the price we paid. We'll be back.

Mastro's was incredible in every sense. First and foremost, they held our table for about 25 minutes because we were unable to get a cab from our hotel...we ended up hiring a pedicab (yikes!). It was our 37th anniversary, and every time I called to give them a time update, they told us not to worry. And they were busy! We were elated to be seated immediately. Then, we met our incredible server, Mark. What a joy. He was top-notch, with a dynamic personality. He helped to make our anniversary a lasting memory. In fact, he selected the perfect wine for us at a decent price point to accompany our steaks, which were cooked to perfection. We live in beef country (Kansas City), so the steaks gained our five-star approval. We'll definitely go back to this fine restaurant the next time we're in NYC.

They Japanese Kobe was overcooked. They should have sliced it then cooked it which would have been spot on. There was not enough Lobster in the Lobster Mac for the price you pay. I was also disappointed with the Lobster cocktail because the part of the lobster that you would normally eat did not look pleasing. In fact the second piece had black and green substance that was really a turn off. The drinks were great. The sautéed spinach and asparagus were amazing as was the garlic potatoes. The Salmon was tasteless, again a tragedy for the money spent. The portions were very sufficient. Since everyone else liked our server, I'll say this....There was no question that DelFrisco's Staff were consistently patient and friendly. Also they automatically included a 20% tip which I'm not fond of because it takes away your power to tip according to your service so to not make the night about me, I kept my feelings quiet and even gave a little extra. The service at DelFriscos cannot be compared to any and our tip certainly reflected it. I don't see myself coming back here. It was "ok" at best. For a $1500 tab, it could have been better!!

I treated my best friend for her 53rd Birthday. The Birthday Queen loved everything appetizer, cocktails, entree and desserts. Our server Michelle was attentive and had a great personality.

So I arrived at the restaurant at 7:11 and gave one of the receptionist my name, and she then looked at the other receptionist standing by her and they began looking around the room, Mind you the restaurant was packed and no one appears to be getting up. She then said I see you have three quest , I immediate stated ” the quest never will not be attending if I have to wait to be seated and she stated ok. I then told her I need to be seated and they I did have a reservation. The 2 receptionist then looked around for a table which I specified I recommend by the window or in a booth. The receptionist then stated “ we have a 15 minute grace period which you didn’t make, then my husband stated miss it’s 7:11 our reservation was for 7:00, so we just stood there watching the receptionist try to find us a table. My husband then stated to the receptionist what is the issue, it’s my wife bday and we made reservations. The receptionist then stated are you waiting for the 3 person and my husband said my wife told you they won’t be attending. After waiting The receptionist then stated come with me and then begin leading us down the stairs. I immediately told her that I don’t want want to be taken to a basement, that’s not what I booked. The receptionist then asked me would I be interested in a table top which I did but I was not going to a basement in a steak house. So to sum up the experience was horrible being that it was my birthday, spent $400.00 for my feet to be dangling from the high top table and the restaurant was very noisy and too packed coming from the world coming from a pandemic. I was very disappointed with the service that I was greeted with once I walked in the restaurant. The food was good as always but to sit me at a high top table for 2 people who spent $400 was what I expected. As I chose this restaurant because I usually come her for my bday and the food is good. I will be choosing another restaurant for mother’s day.

8 oz filet was great, white cheddar Mac was so cheesy and hit the spot, calamari was enjoyed by the table as well, lamb chops were very succulent, and the old fashioned drink I had was mixed very well

Our reservations were for 6 and at 7:45 we were rushed out due to a private party at 8 pm that we had not previously been informed about. This was our second dinner here and our first experience was SO much better.
