The person at your reception named Victor, was rude. When we arrive we told him we have reservations. We ask for a booth table and he gave us table at the back. We told him we don’t like the table and give us a better table. He replied rudely and frowned, we don’t have a table and you have to wait. We saw a lot of empty booth tables and replied those are reserved. I said we also have reservations but he said we can’t give you those tables. So we had to act and look for our own table without his help and luckily one group was leaving, we got a table we like. I gave 4 stars only for service because receptionist lack of customer service. We are regular customers and this is the 1st bad experience we had at reception. However our server, Lisa was good and friendly. No issues with the food.

Lisa our server was excellent, staff friendly, music to loud, not enough variety in styles of music, food was okay, a little overdone. Enjoyed ourselves. Thanks. Would make a reservation again.

Treated with Royalty, NYE place was bumping. General Manager, Food and Beverage Manager and Assistant Casino Manager Stopped by and said Happy New Year to us! Great time, food was excellent Culinary went above and beyond. Saw the chef check on tables himself. Applaud!! Definitely see you all again soon! Starlight Match New West, place to go and visit!

Late reservation for NYE. Busy place, tho it is more of a bar/club and seeing as it was NYE, to be expected. Seated promptly and also served pretty quickly. Appies and food came quick! Large portions, the brussel sprouts a Must try! though i think it was on their seasonal menu. Server knew we were done dinner, didn’t show up for a long time afterward and didn’t ask us if we wanted dessert, but it was getting later and busier during that time. I’d maybe come again and try their brunch?! but not likely for dinner.

The noise level was loud and got louder throughout the evening. Server was very attentive, perhaps too much so, seeming to want everything to move fast. Some of the food was excellent (cheese bread!) and some was just okay. The drinks were good although pricey for the size. They closed early (9:00) which we only found out when we asked at 8:45. We rushed through the end of our meal. The server was good, nice, efficient.

We enjoyed a nice, quiet lunch as a team. Probably the time of the day (the 12 to 1 lunchbreak) made a difference, as there were only 2-3 other tables with people around. The food and service were really good. Recommended for similar occasions.

Have been to this location loads of times and didn’t have any issues until last night. I feel like the waitress we had did not really want to serve us and was annoyed when we were not ready when she needed us to be. She was not friendly or approachable. I’ve never had a server with such attitude before. I don’t get the manager as well. She didn’t seem friendly and approachable either. I’m hoping the staff the company gets knows what they are getting themselves into when working customer service. I work customer service and talking to clients is a huge part of the job.

The food was excellent, but when the food came out one person in my party didn’t get their plate. It took 15 minutes longer for them to get theirs and it was only because the cook came out to find out why he had a plate left behind by one of the waiters and trying to figure out which table it belonged to. The whole time we were waiting it was impossible to get the attention of our waiter or a manager to ask what the problem was.

We love Match - it’s one of our favourite spots in the city. This said, we happened to have a new bartender that evening who didn’t make the drinks to taste. We’re there often so we do recognize when things are a bit out of sync. There were 3 drinks that had to be “revised”. Our server was super friendly and accommodating, and replaced them. He even covered a drink and cake for my husband’s birthday. He was very attentive and an excellent server. Overall a good experience and we’ll keep coming back.

Booked on fathers day weekend so it was busier than usual but not packed. Hostess was popping in and out of the front room when we arrived which made an awkward interaction from the start. Requested a booth for 6 and seated us at a booth which looked like only seated 4 (we didnt fit). Moved to a second table near the entrance to the casino, It was more of a lounge vibe with the tables very low (like shin height). Ended up waiting 20 mins after our reservation time to be seated. As soon as we were ready to order our server informed us last call was at 8. (It was already 7:30?). Linguine and mac n cheese were very bland only really enjoyed the nachos and that was a because of the dips. Overall disappointing because my parents usually enjoy the restaurant with their friends and we only come here at their request. If they do decide to come back i hope they have a better experience!

Went for UFC and dinner, food was good and the crowd as well but not as full as it usually is on a UFC night. Waitress/service not good unfortunately, not one smile and seemed very disinterested in her job, did the bare minimum.

Well we always have a good time. Service is still great. Food and drinks good as well. It was a very lively event. Music was a little loud after hockey so hard to talk to friends but still enjoy going.

This used to be one of our favourite places but after COVID the service and food went significantly down hill. This was my first time back in almost a year. It was very quiet, the service was good and our food was tasty and as ordered. May go back again.

Service was prompt after seating; server was there with menus/ cutlery and drink requests. She returned soon to take the orders and ask if there was anything else we needed. Our discount coupons were easily accepted and the food came not too long after. All our requests were were quickly filled ( more water/ napkins etc. and we were well looked after. Kudos to the staff at Match. We will be back.

Match hosted five of us for brunch this past Sunday and it certainly lived up to its billing. Blackened Shrimp Bennys, A Toast to Avocado, Southern Fried Chicken on a requested English Muffin, Bacon Caesars, Mimosa, and Coffee were all disappeared and enjoyed. Our server, Rachelle, did a marvellous job of taking care of us too. We'll be back ... maybe for Super Bowl Sunday!

We made our lunch reservation for 11:30am however when we got there we found out that the restaurant does not open until 12noon. This should have been reflected on OpenTable! It was also disappointing to find out that they don't participate in Dine Around although it was advertised for the other March Eateries. Their beer special on the menu was Stella for $1 off and when we wanted to order we were told that they don't have it. It looks like they need to do some updates!
