    The food is good and the staff is friendly. The only problem is that it is just too loud there on weekends. It would be nice to be able to talk to friends while dining, but you just can't hear the conversations.

    I dined at Match Eatery & Public House in Point Edward on November 21, 2023, and I want to commend our server, Judy, for her exceptional service. Judy's attention to detail was impressive; she even provided extra napkins without us asking. Throughout the meal, she ensured our satisfaction, refilling our water glasses promptly. When it was time to settle the bill, Judy's transparency in explaining the discount and total calculation stood out. Her positive attitude and attentive service made us feel like valued guests.     Everything was fine but I thought the value was overstated. The quality was great but I thought the price should have been $16/18 rather then $22, If you are going to charge that much it should include a soup / salad or a small desert.

    We have not been happy with service on previous visits but this time we were seated quickly with a reservation and our server was pretty good. Food is fair but not outstanding. Such a great venue but have been so disappointed each time with poor food and service.

    This was the first time in a long time that I have been to Match Eatery Point Edward, and that is because the food has not been good at all. Last night the pizza was very good. I am not impressed with the menu. I liked that pesto rigatoni but it is off the menu. I would like more pasta, and more vegetarian dishes.

    The restaurant has improved a lot since my negative review a few months ago. If I have a reservation, they have a table set aside for me with menus. The service is improved too and the food is better. It's a great view and the prices are reasonable. It's my Sunday night go-to restaurant!

    Our son & daughter in law took is for a late anniversary dinner. 3 of is had the steak special and the the food was cooked to perfection, veggies were hot and fresh and very tasty. Our son had fish & chips, 2 large pieces hand battered with chips (snuck a piece , very good and light tasting) Our dinner was an early sitting, definitely recommend reserving a table. The servers brought over a delicious piece of chocolate cake for our anniversary dinner and sang. 😊 Happy hour runs till 6pm so half price wine as well .

    We come ALL the time because you have the best patio in our town but you need to do something about your menu. I am a diabetic - take a look at your menu through that lens. There used to be a salad with a champagne vinaigrette - that was a staple for me. All of your current salads on your menu (and the menu just changed but the salads unfortunately didn't - that will limit my patronage),,,,,are "heavy".... heavy/carb laden dressings and fixings (Caesar dressings, green goddess etc. ) ..at least I could order the champagne greens without the granola (originally there was no granola - yes I have been a loyal patron THAT long - whoever is reading this probably doesn't remember that). We are in a carb conscious society - you need to offer more reduced carb options (but still need protein). Your food is very good, but you need to change it up more often and keep the above in mind please.

    We were seated right away and our server was attentive. We shared the fried ravioli and it was delicious. We both got fish and chips and it was nice and crispy, just how we like it. We were too full for dessert. We will be back!

    This will be my 4 th and final visit to Match in Sarnia. It was brunch and the menu was sparse. It was not busy and the waitress did not give coffee or tea refill and she seemed to have a bad attitude despite us bringing very polite. The restaurant is lovely and the food was good but it’s a shame the management can’t make it a better experience. The way it staff have been this way every time we’ve been . It’s like they don’t want to be there. I felt embarrassed having brought guests from out of town and choosing this restaurant.

    Great atmosphere. Great food. Good service We came right around sun down and it was very hot on the patio in the direct sun, even with the beautiful breeze from the river. There were only a couple tables in the direct sun. It was busy so we didn’t have an opportunity to move to a different table. However it was overall a great experience

    Good value because we had a buy one get one coupon. The steak was barely warm and not very juicy. The ribs were excellent.

    Food took over half an hour to come. Not very good quality for the price. You would think it would be difficult to screw up a footlong hotdog and a little pizza but they managed to.

    Service was acceptable, it was pretty busy but food still arrived in an acceptable window for how busy it was. Food was good, the portions were a little small but it was good.
