Chef David Mattachioni’s Italian restaurant and grocery in The Gerrard India Bazaar is the second location of Mattachioni. Known for scratch cooking and baking, from sourdough loaves and pizza, fresh house made pastas, the mortadella panino, porchetta panino and fresh produce all go into making this a one stop shop.

Great for family dinners or a cozy date night, the tables and counter are open from 0900 to 2100 Tuesday - Sunday for a quick coffee or a leisurely meal.
The house made breads, pizzas, panettone have been featured in La Cucina Italian, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Life, and The Toronto Star. A casual dining experience with friendly service and scratch made menu.
We have a well-stocked pantry storefront offering customers a selection of fresh and frozen products such as homemade pasta, pasta sauces, olive oil, peperoncini, desserts, salumi, formaggi and much more made fresh to be enjoyed in-house or for take away.

Delicious!! From the bread knots to the calamari to the PIZZA!! Wow. Everything had such a great flavour and such a well balanced taste, and I love the dining room set up. Kudos to the chef and wait staff for a great meal out with the family.

What a delightful surprise! I found this resto online and the four of us were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and unique, the place has a fun very casual vibe, the prices are excellent and service was amazing! I highly recommend.

Service was not good. I don’t know if this was a kitchen problem or server issue or both. Very inattentive service and confused. Waited an extremely long time for dishes to come out with no explanation. Food was well prepared and tasty when it arrived. Also, pricing was extremely fair.

Overall the experience was good. It wasn’t very busy but we waited for a while before someone took our order. The pizza is slight watery but still tasted yummy. The atmosphere was lovely and I enjoyed the real candles throughout the place.

Great food and quality. Saying service was slow is an understatement. Sweet natured server, but our appetizer came out twice before our meal. Over an hour and 45 mins for our visit.

Didn’t get her name but the server with short hair who worked Sun July 23 from 5-7pm was fantastic. Accommodating with my two kids and very personable and helpful and even took pics of our group for us. Thank you! Will definitely come back!

We would highly recommend it. We will be coming back for sure next time we're in that area. The food was wonderful and our server was lovely. We had the pizza and the beet salad and two of the pastas which were amazing.

Great food. Decent price. Sadly the service was pretty bad. I think they were in between shifts though (?). I’ll go back and give it another go :)

The waitress is horrible. The restaurant was so empty and yet they couldn’t get us water, they mixed up our drinks, never brought us menus. We waited for over 45 mins after we ordered and received no food. Unfortunately the food is actually quite goood. It’s just impossible to sit there and eat. Don’t do it.

The salumi board wasn’t anything special, but the Pizza was WOW. Great crust and flavor easily one of the best wood fired pizzas in Toronto. Desserts were better than average.

Such a neighborhood gem. Our service was friendly and prompt, the vibe was casual & easy, intimate but fun bustle happening around us. The food was excellent. Just the right number of choices to get everyone in our party of 4 (including 3 kids!) excited and confirm fresh ingredients and consistent execution, but not overwhelming. Highly recommend for casual, delicious, rustic Italian fare to make your bellies feel happy and loved.

AMAZING! This is by far one of my favourite restaurants and this was my first time visiting. I came from out of town and will definitely be making the trip to come here again soon. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly, fresh, and the staff were so friendly. I am so impressed by this place! I also bought a loaf of their bread they make in-house and it is to die for!
