Located in the heart of downtown Fredericton’s historic Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Hotel,

Maxwell’s Steak and Seafood is a "Classic Steakhouse with a Maritime Twist" featuring a combination of classic dishes and maritime hospitality. We offer a wide variety of steaks from across Canada handpicked by our Executive Chef Matt Mackenzie and we feature a wide selection of side dishes and sauces to accompany your meal.     Our appetizer and main course were delicious. Desserts were mediocre. Waitress was good but I found we waited a very long time for her to come back to our table. This could be due to all her other tables were on the other side of the restaurant. When making the reservation I was asked the reason for reservation. I said anniversary. It would have made the night that more special if it would have been mentioned, because then I would know that someone actually took the time to read the whole reservation. I would still eat here again because like I said, the main course was excellent. This wS our second time eating here.

    This restaurant was just awesome, food was delicious and service was excellent. Prices were more high end but the quality was there. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

    We always enjoy going here for dinner. There was some slight changes that we noticed that were a good improvement from our past visits. The sides were a better portion size as in the past they were to small but still good tasting. Their signature sauces were good in the past but our recent visit we noticed they were even better. Keep up the good quality Maxwell’s as we will be returning.

    I have been to Maxwells several times and always enjoyed it tremendously so my expectations are high. One is bound to be disappointed from time to time. Our food choices did not turn out to be as good as other times. Service has been the shining star of this restaurant. While the server was very pleasant our meal took an hour to get to our table. Mine was a piece of meat and some simple vegetables so it surprised me. At the same time , I wasn't their only client , so perhaps that is reason enough. I will certainly return to Maxwells. It remains my favourite restaurant in Fredericton.

    Fantastic meal. One of the best tenderloin steaks I have enjoyed in a long time. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

    The service was excellent and was only surpassed by the superb dishes we were served. Wonderful choice for those who are looking for a dining experience. Our server was awesome. (He offered to reserve us a luggage cart for the trip to our vehicle after indulging in our delicious meal). We had an excellent time that included lots of laughs. We absolutely recommend Maxwell's.

    The best food. But, the most important thing to note is the phenomenal service. Owen is a pure gem. He will go above and beyond, has an amazing sense of humour and is incredibly knowledgeable.

    Maxwell’s is cozy, the food is very good, and the ambiance perfect. It is my favourite Fredericton spot for a place where one can enjoy over a good private conversation and Owen is the best!

    Wednesday night was not busy , service was good , food was excellent, we both had. Caesar Salad which was good but presentation was awkward ,it was layered not mixed . The Rack of Lamb was excellent presentation was good as well . Overall a nice meal .

    We had the tenderloin and the lamb and both were amazing. The pomme purée were hands down the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. Very cute location and perfect for date night. Service was great and all around 10/10.

    The food was amazing at this restaurant. Very fresh. The wine selection and drink menu had an abundance of choices. Our waiter was very attentive to detail as I have a gluten intolerance. He was very helpful. The ambiance and lighting were very nice and we enjoyed our visit at this restaurant while visiting Fredericton.

    Was very cold in the dinning room, had to eat with a jacket on. Steak was good, albeit overpriced. Potatoes were a little bland. Wine list was overpriced and regular, nothing you couldn't buy at the liquor store.

    Wonderful dinner! The cocktails were delicious. We enjoyed the mushroom gnocchi, the tuna app, and the short ribs. Our server, James was excellent. Elegant setting which would probably usually be fairly quiet but a very loud, rude big group made way too much noise.

    Althought the meal was quite pricey, the food was fantastic and our waiter, Rene was great! He was very good with wine suggestions and his knowledge of the menu. Would go again.

    We had a lovely meal to celebrate our anniversary, along with our two daughters. All of us loved our meals. Our server was friendly, kind and helpful. We'll be back soon!
