Located in the heart of downtown Fredericton’s historic Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Hotel,

Maxwell’s Steak and Seafood is a "Classic Steakhouse with a Maritime Twist" featuring a combination of classic dishes and maritime hospitality. We offer a wide variety of steaks from across Canada handpicked by our Executive Chef Matt Mackenzie and we feature a wide selection of side dishes and sauces to accompany your meal.     The food was amazing at this restaurant. Very fresh. The wine selection and drink menu had an abundance of choices. Our waiter was very attentive to detail as I have a gluten intolerance. He was very helpful. The ambiance and lighting were very nice and we enjoyed our visit at this restaurant while visiting Fredericton.

    Was very cold in the dinning room, had to eat with a jacket on. Steak was good, albeit overpriced. Potatoes were a little bland. Wine list was overpriced and regular, nothing you couldn't buy at the liquor store.

    Wonderful dinner! The cocktails were delicious. We enjoyed the mushroom gnocchi, the tuna app, and the short ribs. Our server, James was excellent. Elegant setting which would probably usually be fairly quiet but a very loud, rude big group made way too much noise.

    Althought the meal was quite pricey, the food was fantastic and our waiter, Rene was great! He was very good with wine suggestions and his knowledge of the menu. Would go again.

    We had a lovely meal to celebrate our anniversary, along with our two daughters. All of us loved our meals. Our server was friendly, kind and helpful. We'll be back soon!

    On the reservation it ask if there is a special occasion, maybe have that question mean something like a discount on appetizer, drink or dessert. Service was fantastic. Very friendly and made great menu suggestions.

    If you are fortunate enough to have Renee as your server, your evening will be outstanding. His knowledge of the menu items is thorough and enthusiastic. We wanted everything he described!At one point we said jokingly just bring us what you think we'd like! (We did follow many of his suggestions. ) The only limitation is the dessert menu. Usually I am so full, I don't need dessert, but I could always be tempted with a light chocolate mousse if Chef would add it to the menu... A truly wonderful dining experience.

    My wife and I went for a meal, we have been there before and enjoyed the food and service. This time, the food was very good, one of the best steaks I've ever had, fantastic service, just an overall great experience.

    Maxwell’s never disappoints! The food was absolutely delicious and the service is amazing. We sat on the patio overlooking the beautiful Wolastoq river. 5 star meals and staff.

    Got a medium well burger from them and was brought a piece of coal from the Neolithic age. Still ate it though cuz real man does not waste food, but you may want to be warned.

    Very slow service to get our first round of drinks, waited almost 30 minutes. Restaurant was maybe a third full. Food came out the way we ordered it, but it was warm not hot! Server was polite and friendly but not overly attentive. Have been to this restaurant many times and always had a great meal, last night was a dissapointment.

    Booked Mother's Day Brunch off a link posted by the restaurant. Arrived to find that the brunch started at noon and we were there for the regular brunch instead. Would have been ok but since they were prepping for the bigger brunch there was no food in the buffet so we ended up eating cereal. Had to ask for bread to make toast. Pretty disappointed because we had the whole family out. Our server was really nice and apologetic for the situation though.
