   Upon entering, smell of damp kitchen. But after the initial sniff, all was well. Glad I brought money!!! Over $100 to share two dishes and eat one myself. One Margarita and one glass of wine. Overall the food was very tasty, the service was excellent, but I would not go back. Far too expensive per “tasting” dish. Shame, as the food was very tasty. Sounds as though they are changing things up to be steak and seafood as well. Might give that a try!!

   This restaurant provides a fabulous experience in all categories. Beautifully prepared dishes that inspire and astonish the most experienced in fine dining. Professional service and a gorgeous room. Well done and thank you for such a memorable evening!

   Good place as a pescatarian. Very unique flavourful veggie dishes. We had 5 plates which may have been 1 too many for 2 persons. Sauces are very rich and filling. Each plate was a work of art. Seemed a shame to eat it! Lovely touch to send an anniversary prosecco with the amuse bouche.

   Food and service was excellent. We had reservations for 6 pm and the noise level was guite low and you could have a conversation. We left around 8 pm and it was extremely noisy. Go early if you like a guieter atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

   By far, the best and most creative restaurant in Kingston. A bit on the pricey side but worth it. Staff are knowledgable and experienced and the creations that come out of the kitchen are world class.

    Nice experience for all of us. It was an early mothers event. My mom was so excited to try this place. The waiter did a great job guiding us through the menu and having a great food and drink experience. We had a hard time picking dessert so we took them all. All the desserts where so good.     We were a bit worried when we first glanced at the menu because we had some dietary restrictions, but the chef accommodated us perfectly. The quality and inventiveness of every single dish at Mayla blew us away! Delicious - all of it! Service was wonderful, the ambience was great, and prices were fair for quality and portion sizes. We will definitely make the drive from the Toronto area to Kingston just to enjoy Mayla again! Thank you!

    We had an amazing dinner experience last evening. We are not easily wowed, but our dining experience was one of the best ever! From the moment we entered the restaurant, we admired the intimate atmosphere and jewel of a design. About the food itself…each morsel delightful! Cocktails perfect and a joy to watch the care taken in preparing them. Staff worked seamlessly together, all professional and observant. The attention to detail in every way did not go unnoticed.

    Absolute amazing service. Waiter knew exactly what to pair for us with recommendations and suggestions. The chefs created dishes with beautiful presentation and flavour. Each bite consisted of every flavour and every dish was different. Definitely worth the price and will be going again! HIGHLY recommend.

    Beautiful restaurant serving delicious Mediterranean type small plates. Ingredients are fresh and seasoning is outstanding. Recipes are different and very tasty. Atmosphere is lush and warm. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Loved the concept of sharing several small plates. We shared four plates for two people and it was exactly the right amount of food. Both the taste and the visual presentation was top-notch. Also, kudos to the team of servers - they were friendly and helpful without "hovering" too much. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a high quality dining experience.

    Loved it!! From great food to awesome service, this restaurant was all around a hit with me. Tapas style menu makes it ideal place for a nice evening with friends. This is a restaurant that I will bring friends out of town to show off what Kingston has to offer .

    Fabulous drinks and innovative menu with a format that includes a lot of plates to share. Everything was delicious but the evening a bit long. I don’t recommend sitting at the bar - didn’t have a bad experience but conversation would be easier at a table. Recommend for a date, friends get together and for foodies. Try the wagu sando!

    Our experience was very good, the food and service were excellent. As an anniversary celebration, we had a wonderful time. My one disappointment was that when we arrived we were informed that the concept is a shared plate service, and although I understand that this is the current trend with restaurants, personally I feel it is past it’s time as a new experience, and since we were expecting an a la carte, I found the overall dining experience somewhat lacking.

    Literally might be the best restaurant in the country. I am from Toronto and this is better than any restaurant I’ve been to in Toronto, Van or MTL. My wife and another couple went all the way to Kingston just to go here and it was worth it.
