Upon arrival they were very slow to get us our table, despite having a reservation and calling ahead to say we were on our way. Once we were shown to our table the waiter was phenomenal, accommodating and pleasant. Overall a nice way to celebrate my daughter's graduation day.
Booked this restaurant for a group of 6 as we were in Atlanta attending a conference. While the waitress was very knowledgable, the service and attentiveness was lacking. She worked our table and the area around us on her own and could have used some help. The restaurant was NOT busy. I've experienced much better service at other McCormick & Schmick restaurants around the country (I am a member of their Landry's Program). I also left a book folder under my seat and realized this about 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant. When I returned to retrieve it, the business folder could not be found. While there was nothing of any real value in the folder, it did contain business documents, business cards and notes that I valued. I found this very troubling and not typical of how McCormick employees care for their clients. I won't ever visit this restaurant again while I get to the Atlanta area 5-6 times/year. I also used to live in the Atlanta area and realize we have many options for dining.
Be watchful of your personal belongings at this restaurant.
Other then being seated and forgotten about. Once we brought it to managements attention the dinner was great.
We were packed into a corner (half booth and half table) with 3 separate parties, meanwhile the whole dining room floor was open and available. My sister and I truly felt like the specific parties we were sat with were grouped into this section because we all were dressed normally and not dolled up. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, it came out medium well. Steak was remade and again was near medium well but since it took so long to get the new steak my sister had finished eating I just settled for the steak I got. For a $200 dinner for two I expect better food standards, especially from a restaurant with such an elevated reputation. My sister and I frequent many upper end dining establishments so the pressure to dress to the nines isn’t relevant to us, doesn’t even cross our minds. So I was sorely disappointed to be treated in such manner due to my wearing jeans. I will say our waiter was amazing, best part of the experience.
Dinner was while traveling on vacation and staying at the Omni Hotel.
We had a great time. The ambiance was nice, good was great and our server was fantastic.
The restaurant was very accommodating to us when we showed up with one extra person than the reservation was made for. I've been to locations in other cities, but this was my first time in Atlanta. The food was excellent as always, and our server was very entertaining and helpful. Great job!!
Sat at the bar and Shawn and Chris were great bar tenders and fantastic service. Really enjoyed there genuine service and recommendations.
The food and service was outstanding and we look forward to returning in the near future.
I always have a good meal here!
The shrimp kisses are a must!!
My husband and I had our date night over here and it was nice. We requested a private room because we had our 1 month baby with us. The service was great the waitress Ty was awesome and the food was good. Overall, everything was great and we enjoyed ourselves.
This was a great experience. The server was friendly and gave great drink recommendations. The food tasted amazing with the exception of the string beans not a fan of those. Despite that I enjoyed the dinner as well as my girlfriend thank you!
Our server Misty was awesome! We got there 30 minutes early and had drinks at the bar. We checked in upon arrival so we received a text alert when table was ready. It took way too long for appetizers to come out and some of our food was cold too when it arrived. I would probably try a different location next time.
Awesome Oysters Rockefeller, great seafood entrees.
I was very disappointed in the service my family received this past Sunday (Mother's Day). We had reservations and we still had to wait to be seated. The reason for the wait was because the table was not cleaned. It took almost 30 minutes to clean the table and to get us seated. The staff was not considerate of the fact that I had two senior citizens standing up for almost 30 minutes. Imagine my surprise when they sat us in the room that had been empty since we arrived, but just had not cleaned. Finally we are seated and I had to ask the server to have someone come and reclean the half cleaned table, remove & replace a spotted water glass, dinner setting and napkin. It took too much time to place our order, I had to ask a different server for bread and I had to ask my server for re-fills.
After about an hour and half of being there, we finally get our food. 2 orders had to be sent back because half of the entrees were cold. It took an additional 15 minutes to bring out butter sauce for the lobster tail (which by the time it came, we had already eaten the lobster tail). We informed the server that the broccoli was too salty and was not edible (it was never replaced). It took 30 minutes to bring out 3 desserts (Key Lime Pie, Crème Brulee, Apple pie). I couldn't understand that one. The pie you just put it on a plate with some fresh fruit and sauce. We sent the apple pie dessert back because it looked like someone dropped it and tried to piece it back together.
I asked the front supervisor to get me the manager several times and each time he was "about to do it" or he didn't have the time yet to speak to him. Finally, I decided to wait for the manager by the kitchen. I was able to talk with him, but still wasn't satisfied with the service from this restaurant. The food there is expensive and the service you receive should be on point. All in all we were there for almost 3 1/2 hours. If the service would have been better then, we could've gotten out sooner.
I made reservations and the restaurant staff appeared ti be very disorganized. My party was seated at 5....30 mins later. We sat for 30 minutes until we tagged another waiter to ask for our waiter. I was not impressed especially when I made my reservations a month in advance.
Decor was dated
Overall great dinner experience
Waiter was great. Hostess was rude.
I found the service to be excellent. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and always smiling. A very good time we had here and would come again
The server was in a rush. I told her we were celebrating my husband's birthday and it was our first time. She didn't care....it went downhill from there.
A+ food and service. It is the best McCormick and Schmicks I have tried so far (4th one).
Food was great. Only issue is that we sat down at 8pm, had appetizers at 8:15 and had to wait until 10pm until we had dinner served. We were told they are backed up in the kitchen.
The food was awesome!!! The service was great and the ambiance was nice!
My husband and I visited McCormick and Schmick's this past Saturday. We were seated at a pleasant table near the window good for people watching and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We had coconut shrimp and lobster bisque, which we found to be delicious. My husband ordered the swordfish and I ordered the bourbon glazed salmon. The main course took some time to arrive after we finished our bisque. My husband stated the swordfish was a tad dry, but my salmon was perfectly cooked. All in all, we very much enjoyed our visit and would return.
We went for a family members graduation lunch. Was seated at 12:45 but didn’t get our food until a little after 2. Service was decent. The restaurant was freezing.
Service was great! Jose was our waiter he was awesome. My boyfriend enjoyed his birthday dessert as well. I’m definitely coming back.
The kitchen screwed up my order, but they bent over backwards to correct it. I still was eating after everyone was done. But I can’t help but think that if I was a regular they would have comp’ed the meal. So I was a business tourist and there was no discounting. These med-level chain restaurants near convention centers need to be avoided. Everybody’s meals were mediocre and the wine was overpriced.
The food was great! I was nervous about the the service after reading the other reviews. Our waitress was ok, but since she took awhile to bring out water, we decided to skip the appetizers to avoid a long dinner wait. We noted that we were celebrating on the reservation but no one acknowledged that from the host to the waitress. That was a little disappointing considering that they usually say a simple happy anniversary or etc. Again food was good and arrived at a reasonable time.
We enjoyed our food but we did find service a little slow. The servers were pleasant natured.
Winston was an amazing server and the manager was very kind I forgot his name. But I would be back anytime
We went to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Our waitress was amazing, when I told her I was happy that they have 'mocktails' because I'm pregnant, she told us congratulations and was so kind. Well, at the end of the meal she brought us a complementary dessert to say congratulations on our pregnancy and even included a note. It was a wonderful experience, the food and service were incredible.
The meal took nearly 3 hours and the kitchen was very slow to get entrees and desserts out.
The food was awesome! Crab stuffed shrimp, crab and shrimp stuffed salmon, and shrimp kisses... all excellent!
Wonderful service, delicious food.
The experience would have been 10 x better if we weren't kept waiting for over 30-45 minutes past our reservation time.
We made reservations for 6:30, but weren’t seated until 7:15 even after making many complaints. It was my birthday dinner with friends. We missed the opening act of a concert because of this long wait. $33 for 4 scallops and a cup of risotto. It was delicious but I was still very hungry.
We had to speak to three different people to have our pre dinner drinks delivered and when they arrived 30 minutes after we were seated they were wrong. When the food finally arrived it was cold and had to be sent back. The “special” when entered on the bill was broken down into each item on the plate and they charged $8.50 for one piece of asparagus which is the cost of a side item? I did not see anything special! We did enjoy talking to the couple beside us...who unfortunately experienced many of the same issues we did.
Food was okay. Sea Bass and salads were great. Steak was just okay, nothing to write home about. Not a restaurant to recommend, "like OMG a place you have to try". Would choose and try a different place next time in Atlanta. Location was good because of proximity to the arena.
The service and meal were excellent on this very busy evening.
