Do not eat at this restaurant if you are attending an event at the Philips Arena or Mercedes-Benz Stadium. They were completely overwhelmed before the Taylor Swift concert, which is mind-boggling considering they are in close proximity to both venues. They should be prepared for large crowds that are operating on limited time. Servers were unapologetic and appeared in no rush to get us out of there.
It took almost 2 hours to get food! Out waitress was attentive but the kitchen was a mess and the restaurant wasn't even full
Perhaps it was an off night, as I always like to give a benefit of the doubt. But, this was a debacle as we waited for an hour and a half for our food that never came. We had to leave without eating dinner to make our concert. The staff and manager really did not seem to care.
I had much higher expectations given the price. I know that this restaurant is in a busy/tourist part of town, but the food and service were not great. My shrimp were overcooked and my whole plate was cold, and another person in our party also had cold food. We did not send the food back because we had somewhere to be (and it took a very long time to get the food in the first place). I'm not a picky person, and this was objectively not a good dining experience.
Service was terrible, nice girl but had no idea what she was doing. Could not open our wine, food took 1 hr... by which time the plates where hotter than the food. I expect more at a place like this.
Had tickets to a 7pm show at the Tabernacle. made a reservation for 5:45, placed my food order at 6:03 (i know the exact time time because my wife took my picture as i was ordering), and my food didn't come til 6:57. We didn't enjoy our food much because we were so annoyed at how long it took. And we didn't finish it because we had to hurry up and leave, as we missed the beginning of our show. I know there were a few events int he area, but you have got to account for that and be better staffed. Next time, i'll go waster my 100 bucks somewhere else if I'm downtown for an event.
We visited the restaurant prior to concert and the service here has extremely dwindled. We ordered our appetizers and food within 10 minutes of being seated yet it took over 30 minutes to get our appetizers and over an hour to receive our entrees. The restaurant was not even that busy. Also, we asked for a drink menu and the waitress told us they were too busy to give out drink menus. The whole experience was ridiculous. Go to Rays in the City if you need a good restaurant near this location.
It was great food and we had a great server
I didn’t know what to expect with a 3 star rating on yelp! But I will say whoever is giving this place bad reviews much have some seriously high expectations. The food was tremendous and the service was nothing but great. I can’t wait until my next Atlanta trip to go back
Poor experience overall. Staff wasn’t on their game for an 8:15 res.
Service was a little slow and it was very uncomfortably cold
Everything was FABULOUS!! It was great food and great service all around. We will be back soon. I had the stuffed salmon and hubby had the scallops for our entree and both were delicious. You must have the New England clam chowder!!!! The upside down apple pie was terrific and we topped off our meal with a great tasting cup of coffee!!! Our waiter Mark was the best!! The manager Ms. Nesbitt came to great us and she was friendly and very sweet.
Great service and happy hour menu! Quality of food could be better for the price
The food was fine. My husband's seafood and the calamari was overcooked; my steak medallions were cooked correctly but didn't really have much flavor. What we enjoyed the MOST was the demi glace that came with the medallions and the two sauces that came with the calamari.
Service was not bad; just extremely slow. Maybe they thought we were having a romantic evening instead of being two people at the end of a roadtrip that just wanted dinner before going up to our room at the Omni. Overall, just a "meh" experience when for the cost I was hoping to be impressed.
We had a long wait from the time that we arrived until a server came over to our table to greet us, bring water/take our drink order. The server was apologetic and was attentive for the remainder of our meal. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the quietness of the restaurant was appreciated during our business meal. We would definitely return if in the area.
Overall this was a nice place to dine. The bar area for seating was good with other table for you to sit and eat. The happy hour was ideal if you didn't want to eat a big meal. Great place to eat.
The wait time for our meal was very long. We were told because we had well done steaks.
Great Food and Great Service from Esmeralda!!!!!!!!
She had great personality !!!!!!!!!!
Reservation was made for my husbands birthday with family. Nothing was said until I mentioned it. Was thinking maybe a small dessert would be given to him but nothing. Disappointed. Food good but won’t go back.
The occasion was a Birthday Dinner! Nice dining spaces with street views allowing for people watching in a high volume business/tourist area of town (CNN Center and Centennial Park). Our server was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable of all menu items with accurate descriptions of entrée included sides. The seafood was fresh and vegetables innovative. Will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Very disappointed in this location. Had to ask to not be seated next to a large, rowdy group of businessmen. Highlight of the meal was appetizers-coconut shrimp and shrimp kisses. Bread was hard. They ran out of lobster tails (filet&lobster). They gave us 3 small, grilled shrimp, but still tried to charge us for filet & stuffed shrimp. Added grilled chicken to a green salad and chicken was not fresh, Tasted like leftovers. Service was OK. Never going back.
The ambiance was ok... The food was just tolerable... I found myself trying to like the food because of the price but if I’m being honest it just wasn’t good.
Dined here again for the 2nd night in a row. Been here many, many times. First night, service was great. 2nd night, had a reservation nearby but after 2 days at the gift market, I didn’t want to eat at 8pm. Couldn’t change that reservation. So we went back. We were staying at the Hotel @ CNN. So convenient. Waiter 2nd night was nice, however he had to come back to write down drink order. Then had to ask for olives for drink. Took the longest time ever for calamari appetizer. 3 min after they arrived, dinner, really?
Sent it back. When dinner arrived the 2nd time, I think it had been hit w finishing salt a 2nd time love the convenience of this place. Food has always been good. I think the problem is the lack of available work staff. We need to worry less about the Hispanic Population and more about the so-called administration and the policies that have created this problem.
We come every gift market and entertain customers there. I was at your restaurant 3 times this week. Entertaining 3 different clients. The service on sat night was the worst we ever had there. And it wasn’t that busy. Our server needs training. It won’t keep us from not returning. Food is excellent but it affected the tip we gave her.
It was our first time in Atlanta and wanted to sit by the window. They cleaned the table and we enjoyed watching the People walk by. The food was outstanding just let me we remember up in Virginia. The waiter was awesome too. Thank you and we will be back.
Everything was on point, it was my wife's birthday and its was perfect. The food, waiter, seating booth and so much more. We will ve going again.
👍🏻great stayed at CNN. VERY convonient
Food was good not the best service
We were seated and it took a half an hour before someone came to the table. Then it took at least 20 minutes before we got a drink. At least 25 minutes for we got our salad. My filet shaped like a hockey puck was not cooked at the right temperature and did not have a fresh taste.
My friends New York strip was very good. This aspararagus
New York strip was very good.
And a top it all off we ordered dessert to go and it literally took a half an hour. We were not apologize to or no one came by to say anything we were very patient and did not complain but it was obvious how tired and disappointed we were.
The price is very high for the service and food quality which was felt more like a low-end restaurant. .
Great food, great service!
Very nice restaurant but the service was very slow. It wasn’t just the service that was the problem. The food was very mediocre. Our server was very pleasant and helpful when she arrived but she was too busy to keep up. We waited way too long considering the price we paid for our meal. Food was non special. All 3 of us were underwhelmed by our meals. Will not be going back anytime soon. Would definitely not recommend
The food was amazing. They were very busy however our server was great.
We go there for the oyster options; this time there were 4--all very tasty. The place wasn't crowded but the service was slow. Our server was very pleasant, though she was spared thin as she apparently was responsible for clearing tables and delivering food--there were no bus people or food delivery people in sight, which in other dining experiences seems to speed the service.
Went during happy hour. The prices were great and food quality was good. Service was awful. I would not return to this location. We had at least 4 service assist use but no one checked on us wwithout asking. No water refills or additional food or drink without flagging someone down.
Must go and enjoy!!!
The environmen was good but I expected the food to be better! It was dry and over cooked, and over priced
PACKING FEE WAS HIGH AND INCONVENIENCE. HAD TO PAY $20.00 FOR PACKING
Wow...what great service! We arrived early for our 7:45pm reservation and the smiling hostess greeted us and was only too happy to seat us immediately in a private booth. This was great for our 2 grandsons and their mom and dad...quite and private.
Our food was delivered promptly and it was well prepared. However, my lobster tails were slightly rubbery...over cooked. The tuna entre was excellent. Desserts were OK...the chocolate mouse was more like solid ganache...and hard to eat too much of. Key lime pie was good and the connaom ice cream was excellent!
Great food!! Ambience is good but can be better, some more lighting. Crowd is noisy.
Worst dining ever and poor service. They miss handled the parking voucher which created a return trip to restaurant... manger & waitress said they made mistake. offered nothing !!!! Ruined the special occasion.
Terrible value , I’m MS club member but I will cancel it
